That is one of my favorite streams. Thanks for keeping it secret. Too many people want to blab where they've been but not you.Even your filmography keeps things secret. Well done.
Go way out of my way to fish this stream so I'll do my part to keep it off of social media. IMO, most just don't understand the impact of social media...I know I didn't...didn't grow up with the internet or social media...but I fully understand it now!
.It is incredible that there are still such beautiful and lonely places, wow, it is to strengthen the soul and spirit that place. Sensational my friend. Blessings on your way.
For those of us that are newer to the sport and visual learners, your videos have been a tremendous help. I'll even go so far as to say the creative use of Spam is also an eye opener. Haven't had that since I was a kid....... Yum! :).
Haha, that is awesome...maybe I can get my show on food network! Seriously, glad to be sharing vids that are helpful...so much info out there, can be like drinking from a firehose some times!
I can’t for the life of me figure out how you don’t talk to yourself while you fish!!! Awesome video as always Drew! Can’t wait to see more from the trip!
Wow that stream is loaded with a lot of nice brown's. I don't blame you drew, if I don't see a stream as much as I would like, l would fish it several times before I moved on. Gorgeous country, catch one for me! Until next time. Stay safe. 👍👍👍
Thanks man...yea don't let up lol! Another strategy that sometimes works for me is pitch a crazy idea like...I want to road trip out west for 6 months and back it off to two months lol!
I got back from hiking the CT three weeks ago. Took my fly ride with me being the amount of trout in the river. Caught a bunch of Brooks and cutthroat trout. The scenery was off the hook. One more bucket list completed.
Great video Drew ! What model GoPro do you use ? It seems to work really well and has great audio and color. And, can you tell me what sunglasses you are wearing, they seem to give great sun protection as well as protection against stray branches and wind blown flies.! Thanks much
Perdigon and my unweighted mayfly pattern I shared in a tying vid recently. Actually got a video for the patterns I'd bring on a road trip which I'll share later.
God I’ve been fishing big water for so long this looks like gutter water to me. I’m glad your into this and not my space. I love your Red fishing vids.
Haha, gotta have some fake when your living in the bed of your truck for 2 months! Plenty of real food in the series just usually after a stop in town to resupply!
I like your videos but it wont be that hidden?paradise the more it is videod! I have been there and the traffic on that road was hideous! Never mind that there is a town and campgrounds up there! Sorry but people will and have it figured out. I live on the Pacific side of the divide not too far away.
You might be taking the title a little too serious. I know it's known but mostly having fun with it. Plus, a guy emailed me saying he had found it only to later say he drove 20 hrs and actually never did...so the title is just good fun.
Of course those that fish the region recognize the spot, but dropping hints about the ease of finding it, the town, the campgrounds and which side of divide it's on has just lead more of the power bait tossing slugs on the trail.
@@mlbchamps1908 Haha, nah you're not the only one! When I share this stream I monitor the comments closely and delete any that name it or give too much info. Figure since I shared the video it's my responsibility to keep an eye on it!
Splendid river, big fish!
I can see why you like it. Thanks for sharing...
Always the highlight of the week. Beautiful scenery and catching nice fish without hardly getting your feet wet. Awesome.
Thank u, dry feet is definitely a bonus lol!
These fish fight like crazy! Wonder how many fish per mile. You definitely have the touch.Subscribed
Nice line mending. That's the way you do it!

You have inspired me to take another look at the streams that I have once passed. Thank you for the amazing videos.
That is what I call a great day of fishing.
I agree completely!
I’m loving this series of videos. Can’t wait for the rest!
Having fun making them!

Just came across your channel. Loved the footage! You make it look so easy! Helluva nice camp site you picked too!
I don't get the yt analytic but glad you got here lol! The camp was about as good as it gets! A great way to end a fishing trip!
Great video from a beautiful stream…
some very nice brown trout for the size of the water!
It's a fantastic stream which is why I try to see it once every year!

Maybe when I retire from the fire dept next May I can make that happen!!
Heaven on earth. Have you ever caught anything but browns in there?

That sounds pretty awesome!
Cutthroat in Connecticut?
Colorado Trail
So jealous
Cool browns
They definitely are!
@@LooknFishy what size about 800g sorry a pound and 1/2

Your catching some good ones there though I admit.
Wow! Fabulous fishing.. did you have the creek to yourself? What a great time!
I did, only ever seen one other person on it....that I wasn't with!
What are you using as an indicator? I’ve been using the new zealand indicator and I love it.
Doing dry-dropper with my top shelf hopper being the big dry, sz 10. But I fish a dorsey yarn when I need an indi. It's a lot like the NZ.
I wish I owned a teleporter. I would put a destination pad right around where you are here.
Well if u ever figure it out please let me know!
Awesome video as always!! What are you using as your dropper?

Which rod length/weight are you using here?
This was my 10ft 4wt!
Fortunately, there are a lot of off trail places most people won’t walk into.
Yep and I like to hike so it works well for me!
God I’ve been fishing big water for so long this looks like gutter water to me. I’m glad your into this and not my space. I love your Red fishing vids.
Haha, my home water is the White River...so I'm into the big stuff too lol! But for sure travel out west for the gutter stuff haha! Reds are awesome!
Must be Nice to Carry for self protection, especially where you fish... "Here Bear". I cant even by Bear Mace in my State!
That is completely crazy! Had a buddy shot in an attempted car jacking while trying to sleep in a gas station parking lot...I don't leave home w/o it!
Will you be in California at all?
Not during this trip. I visited NM, CO, ID and WY...but this is a lifestyle so definitely in the future!
@@LooknFishy well if you do, let me know. I’d meet up with you and take you into some really cool pockets for some really rare species.

Beautiful pan fry size trout. Mmm...

I know this stream, lets keep it a secret. I will be on it tonight.
U know my lips are sealed!
What type of awning do you have on the back of you of your camper? That is pretty cool.
It's the rainfly from my hammock. I walk thru it near the end of this video...ruclips.net/video/XHTRHLTDDJc/видео.html
@@LooknFishy Nice! Thanks for the info and the tip. I may try that out on mine.
Drew , what’s going on? Put on a dry fly old boy, a man of your status should not fish sub surface, you will never get a knighthood .
Haha...was fishing a dry/dropper...all I fished for 2 months besides a few small streamers!
All those beautiful trout and you eat SPAM???......LOL
