I'm looking into this washer myself. Thank you for the review. I will say that this is still better than Samsung washers. I bought a Samsung one for my parents and it gave out at month 9. I see that LG is the most reliable so I hope it's not a issue on all of them

My wife really loves the LG app, so we just ordered a new LG refrigerator. I hope your washer and our new refrigerator arrive with no manufacturing defects and last for many years.

In the 4 years I've had my WM3400 I've replaced both water inlet valves and all 3 shocks. Almost $300 in parts. The local repair shop told me it would exceed the cost of a new machine to have them do the repairs. It's ridiculous.

Sorry to hear you have had back luck with your machine. So far, we are loving ours and we hope they last as long as our old LG machines.

My LG front loader's electronic latch failed within a month of ownership. A repair was made under warranty. Discharge water pump failed last week. The kitchen designer at The Home Depot (a good source for appliance recommendations) warned me about purchasing an LG washing machine.

Our old LG machines lasted a long time and Consumer Reports ranked LG at the top in reliability. I guess we were unlucky and got a pair of defective machines.

"threatened" isnt the right word, this is how a lot of warranties work to prevent fraudulent. You repairing it, now void them from warranting the issue.

I believe 'threatened' with a fee to investigate a manufacturing defect is accurate. I made four attempts to contact LG and politely ask them to investigate the manifacturing defect. I was disconnected three times and only after pursuing the matter a fourth time sis they imply that they would charge me to investigate. Since the warranty is worthless anyway and the bolt keeps coming loose when we use the washing machine, I added thread lock compound to the threads of the bolt and reinserted it.
I look forward to sharing my LG customer support experience with the BBB, Consumer Reports, Home Depot, and any other appropriate parties I can think of.

Did you pay with a credit card? Often the credit card company will warranty purchases. Otherwise consider Small Claims Court - this is obviously a manufacturing defect. Send them a letter, certified mail, return receipt requested.

We have an LG wm3770 which was brough in 2019. It has been working great! So far the only thing I had to replace, which happened a few months ago, was the discharge pump motor assembly. I brought the part on ebay for $34. The replacement process wasn't that hard requiring only that I remove the tub spring-ring and door seal, then remove top and front panels to gain access to pump assembly located near the front left of the washer. For those interested, here's a video on disassembly. ruclips.net/video/CFRp-8b5FBw/видео.html

We love the LG washer and dryer, but LG customer support/service, not so much. We needed to replace our 20+ year old Jenn Air refrigerator and my wife loves the LG app so we bought an LG refrigerator from Costco last month. Love the refrigerator, but it arrived with a small dent in the smaller of the two freezer drawers. Costco has contacted LG to have them replace the drawer panel and LG is dragging their feet and even after they sent a tech to inspect the door they are asking me if I forgot to remove the plastic protective film from the drawer or if the dent is really just a smudge I need to wipe off.

@Koolbob2 Sorry to hear you're having some bad luck. Although it seems par for the course now a days with things we buy. I can't tell you how many times I've had to contact CS to get help/guidance with a problem. Usually, it is a frustrating endeavor to say the least. Heck, you're lucky if you get to talk with a real person, let alone understand them.

I'm sorry to hear Samsung let you down. It's sad that 'adequate' quality control and customer service has become the exception rather than the norm.
