I used silver tape to cover my dated closet mirror sliding door frame. Changed all my fixtures from 1990’s gold to nickel/silver/chrome. When I did that the gold stood out. I got silver chrome tape off Amazon and covered the gold in chrome look tape, I used a razor blade to trim any mistakes now it’s cohesive. No expense of replacing the entire door.
That grout stain works amazing! I did it through my main living space and it looks so much better and its a stain and sealer so now it doesn't get stained like before .
I can 100% vouch for the grout refresh! I have it all over my house and shared in a video a couple years ago. The paint is awesome so far and and a much harder more permanent cure than standard paint.

I love it. Both of our bathrooms are circa 1964...ok, maybe one is 1974 🤦♀️ boy oh boy do they need a redo. And I want to be able to do it on my own where it doesn't cost a ridiculous amount. These tips are great! Getting geared up to do a massive deep clean on my week off from work!
Tip # 17 for saving your money, if you are paying high credit card rates, go to your bank and ask for a low interest revolving unsecured line of credit and if you can get it, pay off those credit cards, then pay what you want when you want, not what the bank tells you what to pay. And if your not making a payment one month, fine just pay interest only, its your option.
Great update 👍👍👍 I think the black electrical tape looks good but the chrome on Shower doors should be painted black ... I think the 2-tone chrome and black is throwing the look off. Great job! Thanks for the paint recommendation.
Maybe that's why I didn't like it. I thought it looked kind of 'cheap'. It didn't seem much like an update, but I think it was because of the silver (ie dated) trim on the doors.
This looks so great!!! Glad to know I am not alone with my cavernous cabinets under the sink! It is like one great big hole. I kind of wish builder cabinets came with a little more shelving/slideouts underneath!! Lol!
WOW! You did a fabulous job on that bathroom! I think if you could have painted the chrome on the shower black it would have looked a bit better, but it's not heinous. The colors you chose were excellent!
My favorite cheap and simple remodel is using the white tub and tile paint! That would look sooooo good on the floors! Then you could do that dark grout on top of it! The previous owners of our house cemented the kitchen backsplash wayyy to thick so we can’t get it off without taking the whole wall down🙄 so we painted it with the tub and tile paint and it looks super clean and brand new!

I used to have a big home where the windows were black metal windows. They were huge. 4 foot high and 4 ft wide in the living room, and all through the house. They were side sliders. They were so big they were missing something. About 10 years ago I used the black electrical tape to make grids on the living room windows and the family room. It looked awesome. I had never seen anyone do that before or since and had not seen that on Pinterest. I think maybe if the frame of your shower had been bronze it would have worked. Your bathroom turned out beautiful. I'll have to look up the paint and it's nice to know about the grout refresh. Love your ideas :-)

I had to get up and try the toilet paper thing immediately. It worked and looked so cool in person. I'm a housekeeper and always fold the tp end into a point so now I'm going to add this little trick and see how long it takes people to comment. Your bathroom looks amazing btw.

I'm with Charlie on this one with the shower doors. I made my husband completely take down the shower doors in our guest bath and put up a curtain in its place.
I did the grout renew ALL through my house of tile floors during the first lockdown and it's holding up great! 6 months later with kids and dogs and vacuuming and mopping and it still looks perfect! All in thanks to your initial recommendation! Now... Can that cabinet paint hold up in a kitchen???

I absolutely love that mirror! The whole bathroom looks great! I was repainting my living room in a greige color. I was sitting on the floor painting above the baseboards. My German Shepherd was about 2 months old at the time and decided to walk right through the pan of paint on the floor. 🙄 I have old hardwood floors. He tracked that paint all through my living room and kitchen before I was able to get a hold of him. Lol He was covered in it, as was I when I had to pick him up. Learned my lesson! 😂

I agree with Charlie with the prison astedics. Can you try maybe a bold strike to hide the hot spot area or a stincel of black flower pattern . The rest of it is beautiful.

I stumbled upon your channel and I am hooked! Even though I’m in the middle of a move from Florida to the West Coast, I decided to Declutter my side of the bathroom! I think it came out awesome! I finally have a bin for the extra stuff which I didn’t know I needed but thanks to you I know have! And I also discovered that I have three eyelash curlers that I haven’t used in probably 4 1/2 years! I threw the two worst ones away and get the best one! Looks great! I think if you want the electrical tape to look better, you would need to paint the silver shower encasing black so it looks like it goes together. I would paint it black anyway to match your decor.

I think the shower would have looked better if the chrome was cover in black like the the diy picture.
This came out so cute! I would love a future update on how the grout refinisher holds up and the painted vanity.

Yes!! I think it would be an amazing fit for the kitchen. It cures really strongly. You pay a bit more for it but a little goes a long way.
