Nowadays Foreigner turned into a cover band of Foreigner. Lou is the voice of Foreigner, end of discussion. That Mick Jones offered wanted 95% of the money for himself, and offered Lou only 5% is the utmost disrespect. Hansen is a good singer, but he isn't what lots of people associate with Foreigner.
What a great testimony! I always partied to bands like Foreigner. Then I got clean and sober in '88 and went to a halfway house. We weren't allowed TV or radios at the time. I remember one night we were allowed to walk to a nearby AA meeting and the corner gas station had the radio blasting "I Want To Know What Love Is" . It blew my mind! Gave me chills and still does!! (And I've stayed sober by the grace of God!)
Lou doesn't look any older. If he grew his hair back long and curly, he'd still look like he did in the 80's. I love him. I wish I could meet him one day.
I’m 81 and I absolutely loved, and still love, Foreigner and Lou Gramm’s gorgeous voice. I still constantly listen to all my Foreigner cds. The best music in the world was in the 70s and 80s and groups like Foreigner, Journey, the BeeGees, etc. I’m so happy I saw this testimony of Lou talking about choosing Jesus. Bless you Lou! You are really special. Please know that many people of all ages love you and your beautiful voice. I’m glad you turned away from the drugs. I lived in Hawaii for a little while in 1982 and that’s when I got to see Foreigner live on stage. I had just married a man 8 years younger than me and he had just about every rock and roll album from the 70s and up through 1982, so I fell for him and his love of my kind of music. Of course he had Foreigner. 😂
It's exhilarating to see Foreigner finally receive induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, an honor that is certainly well-deserved and long-awaited.
I love all of Foreigners songs! Especially when it’s Lou Gramm as the main singer of all the music. He is a humble man and he has a great voice. God bless you!❤️🙏🏽👍🏽
2022 ini apakah Lou yang tampan ini masih aktif bernyanyi, maaf saya baru tau kalau Lou sakit tumor, mudahan Lou sehat, diangkat penyakitny oleh Alloh taa'la aamiin Allohumma aamiin 🤲🏻
What a sweet guy Lou is. Saw him at the Paramount in Peekskill, NY a couple of years ago and he and his backing band were SUPER. After the show he did a meet and greet. I didn't hang around long for it because the line to meet him was LONG. Had to run. But you could see how nice the guy was and how well he was doing even after his brain tumor ordeal. He, like Mark Farner, formerly of Grand Funk, should collaborate, maybe tour together. Both are Christian guys and have AMAZING voices!! Two of the BEST in Rock history. What a show that would be!! Rock on, Lou! 🙏❤️
I could have had the opportunity to meet Lou at a meet and greet when he and his band toured with Dennis DeYoung & The Music of Styx. It was in Mequon, WI. But the outdoor venue had a limitation on the curfew and was only staying open to the public until midnight. After maybe 15 minutes of waiting in line to meet Lou, the venue had Dennis hit the stage. Such a bummer! I still want to kick myself for not timing that better, so I would've had the chance to meet Lou, and then watch Dennis from start to finish. I must say that Lou was great at that show, so was Dennis.
@@pamwhitehouse5961 I could have met him at a meet n' greet after the show we saw, but the line was long, it was late and we decided to leave. But he was within arms reach. Didn't look like he did years ago. (who does, right?) He was a bit heavy and the hair was different, but the guy can still sing, despite what he went through. It was a good show, and his backing band was super. It was if the Foreigner records were on the turntable. Never saw Styx or Dennis De Young. But they're great too. But I did have the opportunity to see and meet Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad a couple of years ago. Just before all the lockdowns. He hasn't been with the band for over 20 years. But he and his band were great and a nice guy to meet. Saw GFR in 1974 at MSG and the Beacon in NYC on their "Bosnian" tour. Full orchestra, Paul Schafer conducting. Super show. Glad I was there. They don't make bands like the ones from the 60s and 70s anymore, to be sure. There were some bright spots in the 80s and 90s, but to me, music is all crap now. But at least we have our memories. All the Best.👍
I am 56…lifelong music fan and piano player. Ihave my own channel here. I can honestly say that out of all the rock stars I have listened to the last 45 years…Mr Gram is the one I respect the most. For coming out so many years ago as a Christian. And staying strong. God bless you for the music you have given us
What a guy. many would have fallen victim to the curse of drink & drugs. Not this man ! Lou. your a winner, and most of all you beat the biggest battle of all.god bless you man,
I know Lou personally as we’re both “Car Guys” and seeing him at Cruise Ins here in Rochester NY and talking about our cars, he’s as down to earth as anyone I know. He’s a real gentleman and a blast to talk with. 👍🚗
Good for you lou it's a slow walk day by day. You are a good guy. I remember seeing you perform after your brain surgery seeing you in concert and even sitting the whole time on a stool and you blew me away!
Lou Gramm and Steve Perry set the standards so high (pun intended) in the 80s as to what a rock singer should sound and FEEL like very few was able to match it. I am glad Lou Gramm is now in the Light. And I sure hope to meet him very very soon when all is said and done. Maybe someday Steve Perry too. He has gone through a lot these past many years.
Finally someone saying what I've said for many years, the 2 best rock vocalists ever. Live just as good as their studio work, not even Brad Delp could replicate his studio recordings when performing live.
I loved Foreigner in my Juvenile days. Still do, but knowing Lou Gramm will be using that voice to praise Jesus for eternity and I get to hear it...well, that will be the best concert.
Lou! YOU ARE A GREAT PERSON! His voice has a spectacular range! I like how he stands on the ground with both feet and is still handsome and warm-hearted. He always seemed to me not to be comfortable with the fame! Thanks for BEING A NICE HUMAN, Lou! This voice had many colours, but how wonderful is the cover of your real soul. Be blessed and healthy, thanks a lot for curing me with your marvellous vocals, especially in ballads. YOU ARE THE REAL SOUL OF "FOREIGNER"! May God give you much love, strength and shelter!
Dear Lou, There are persons intended by God to show us all the way!! You are one of them. Every single one of us is blessed by your presence in this world. It is my opinion that there will never, ever, be another one like you. Truth be known I pray for you on a daily basis. WFL-Atlas
Kelly does a good job with the present Foreigner band...but its not the same without Lou..Great to know he has found peace with his maker...God bless you Lou!!
A iconic singer with a most incredible voice. Nobody can fill in for Lou, he has a one of a kind voice that can't be duplicated! Iconic singer! God blessed him!
wow incredible Lou you have always been one of the best ever and a part of my life I didn't know you had a new album out Id love to talk with you anytime brother to brother God speed man
Every interview he seems quite shy and very humble and then that voice comes out and the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. One of my favourite singers along with Mickey Thomas & Steve Perry Lynsday Buckingham. I'm in Scotland but love these US bands.x
It was 1985 and just graduated. High School went off with a man to get married. Never been in love before one night. He says this is our song. It's been 40 years and I can honestly tell you at one moment. I did love that man. I thought I knew what love was😢
Lou, Thank you for bringing together 'The Lou Gramm Band'! The fantastic album you created under the same title. The God-driven music on it! Thank you! Thank you again! You will, I have no doubt, save lives!
Since I was 4 years old & my Mom had “4,” he’s been my favorite voice since. Didn’t think I could ❤️ this gentleman more, but this interview proved me wrong. Never been more proud to be a Lou Gramm fan.
Incredible!!! So blessed. Thank goodness we still have him.
Wow! This is GREAT NEWS. PRAISE GOD!

MY LOU IS STILL THE SAME TO ME A REALY A GENTLEMAN AND STILL SING LOVELY❤💙 GOD BLESS YOU ❤
Praise God, Lou Gramm is a born again Christian, I've seen you in concert in the early eighties. I love your voice....
He even has a remarkable voice just talking…..beyond a great singer…and man…

One of the best voices of rock and roll.
