    Jim Cummings (Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse Funhouse) joins us this week to give the ins and outs of what it’s like to be one of the forefathers of modern cartoon voice acting through classic recognizable roles in Balto, Aladdin, Winnie the Pooh, and more! Jim pulls back the curtain, sharing unique tools to the trade that helped advance his career; plus the secret to his tenured success in this industry. We also talk about the inspiration for memorable characters throughout his career, the nerves of working with Steven Spielberg on Balto, and the origins of his legacy as Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.

    This is why Steve Perry of Journey quit at the height of his career. He said he didn't want to "rock til you drop." He recognized that he couldn't tolerate the demands and what it was doing to him. And good for him that he did!

      I guess you could call him underrated, because people were talking about him as the greatest rock singer ever, but foreigner had huge, huge hits. Constantly, I think maybe because he just kept his head down and did his business and didn’t have a big mouth off stage like say a David Lee Roth, maybe he’s overlooked as a rockstar, but as a singer, yeah he could do anything

      I'm by no means the caliper of Lou, but drinking took a lot of my music days away from me. Ended up needing it not just for the shows and after show, but for writing songs and performing. I'm amazed I made through. I don't play a lot anymore because of the triggers. But hey, no regrets, just life! Great interview job!

    I so needed to hear this. Thanks Lou. I studied your voice and I finally understand why these songs were so challenging for me. I always wanted to cover Break it up, but man I had to drop down a half step where they became a little more doable. Gotta teach one day. Still hoping.

    I don't know if Lou lost his voice or one of them had partied way too much but at the 11th hour we got to the stadium only to find out from the others in the parking lot that the show was cancelled. and this was in October of 80. So, they were hot after Dirty White Boy and such on Head Games. Never did get to see them.

    • @MelodyMaker
      @MelodyMaker 8 дней назад +1

      He was the guy that helped so many young men understand that they were never going to make it as rock singers. The band's name is Foreigner. He could hit the highs like Steve Perry and Robert Plant but his name doesn't so often accompany these two when referencing top male rock / pop singers. The album Foreigner 4 would be worth your while.
