I have been dying to use this song for these two since the "like something cosmic" episode, but I knew I had to save it up for something special. I am actually so proud of this video, I've rendered it twice just to make sure there were no mistakes. I waiting up for the logoless episodes even though I had finished this about 4 hours after the finale aired. This needed to be perfect, hopefully I did them justice.
PS. I am not too stressed about the finale. I do feel like Alex Manes deserved better, however Michael only chose Maria because it's easier. I don't think it will come close to what Malex has.

same! i feel like michael is just scared of getting hurt again with alex, but they just need to be together. the writers can’t just introduce this epic love story, with characters that have chemistry like they do (i’ve truly never seen their level of chemistry in any other production) with a tragic past and then them not end up together
what also makes me sad is the fact that alex was willing to die with michael, he was not going to leave him alone. he basically admitted that he loves him so much that he would rather die with him than live without him and michael still went to maria. i get it at the same time though that michael wants to move on from the pain alex has brought him but i feel like he has more of a connection with alex that he's trying to purposefully ignore that will eventually end it maria too being hurt. ugh i just need a season 2.
@@kayleepacheco9171 Is it just me or I'm just denying things because I'm a Malex stan? I'm really doubting Michael's love for Maria since season 1. His for her is something like...similar to how he loves her sister, Isobel. He's so caring, light, comfortable, protective and happy with her.
Meanwhile, his love for Alex is something like...deep-rooted. It's embedded in his soul. It's like he's concealing that feelings with his self-hate and anger because he thinks it might hurt him again and Alex.
As I recall every scenes, I somehow see the difference between Michael's fear of losing Maria and Alex. In season 2's last episode, Maria broke up with Michael. And we can see the fear in Michael's eyes as they broke up. It is as if he's losing his sister, Isobel. However, Michael's fear towards losing Alex is so mixed emotions to him.
Lastly, if he's really into Maria...why would he tell his sister in the last episode about his opinion between he and Alex?

Oh really? If he really wants to get back to Maria, then he needs to talk with Alex and have closure. But he didn't do it because he can't. Instead he let his unsolved history with Alex untouched because that's their only connection that keeps them together. If he cut that rope, then that's the time I can say that I give up to them, my Malex.
Tyler Blackburn coming out as bisexual made me so happy... I'm waiting till this show is on Netflix or Hulu to start watching it but I'm so excited to watch and fully expect to ship these two fully. What an epic song and it seems clear you did it justice with all these clearly emotionally loaded scenes!! Michael saying, "Something cosmic" ha. I will watch again and comment again once I actually fully get what's going on.
I just finished watching season 1 on Netflix last night and immediately came back to this video first because I remembered this would be a season 1 only vid to rewatch. ;) I love EVERYTHING about your editing throughout this, it just blows me away. And this ship is perfection. Can't wait to catch up on more of the show and them be able to more fully appreciate every single one of your vids about this ship! I have really mixed feelings about these two. The actors are doing an amazing job and there are sparks in every scene even though the writing is really off in my opinion. The video is amazing though.
Definitely. I think that if anyone else had been cast as either character, the relationship and the chemistry wouldn’t have taken off as much as it did. Tyler and Michael really elevate the writing to a degree that some of the flatness in the writing disappears. Hopefully, now that Carina is gone, the writing of their story improves.
