To people who suggest this "guitar" or something like it to give to a kid wanting to learn to play, I hope you are joking. Don't even think about it. The kid will pick it up once and in the closet it goes. I struggled with nearly unplayable guitars when I started many, many years ago but none as bad as this guitar shaped object. I pressed on and eventually graduated to Rickenbackers and ESP's. A PRS is still a bit too expensive though. These days there are inexpensive beginners guitars that are playable and sound reasonably good. These decent guitars would have cost several hundred dollars back when I started but today you can get a half way decent instrument new for about one hundred and fifty bucks, or less used and they can be upgraded with better hardware/electronics etc. Don't kill a kids interest in music for the sake of "saving" a few bucks. -dave
@@Ayyem93 Good for you and your boy. Although I've never played one, I've heard good things about Jacksons. For bang for the buck those monoprice guitars seem ok. If they come out with one that has a Floyd on it I might pick one up just for giggles. It's cheap enough that if it has a glaring flaw or two I wouldn't be afraid to work on it myself. My Ric is semi retired and needs refretting, and the pickups waxed, something I can't afford just now. Plus there are only a few luthiers in the country to which I would trust my Ricky. I had my first Ric repaired at the factory completely free, including shipping. If they still did this I'd send my current Ric off to them in a heartbeat. I got the ESP cheap through a contact but am not really thrilled with it. It needs better pickups and the neck needs leveling. The Floyd, once I set it up properly, never goes out of tune though. It took awhile getting used to the jumbo frets but now I quite like them I hope your boy decides to learn guitar. As you know it can be difficult at first but well worth the effort in the end. Good luck and have fun -dave
I get when people get triggered by destroyed musical instruments but this guitar is unplayable. If you want to spend such little money on a guitar you'll never get anything playable.
I got a $29 nylon string guitar in my truck been thru 120 degrees to -5 and I learned so much on it early in playing. I still play it when fishing. Maybe you haven't played guitar that much or work on them but as soon as you saw no truss rod you should have realized it was a nylon string guitar. That guitar probably would have lasted a lot longer than you think like I said the one in my truck is 10 years old yes it sucks but I still love it.
It doesn't matter how crap it is, it will get some kid going and learning the basics. Best thing I did was learning on a crap guitar, then when I picked up a good one and it was pure magic...
I found another place to buy 50 cent guitars but I forgot what the website was because I only found it by accident. Nice. After a year of learning to play, I'm finally starting to be able to tell if a guitar is out of tune when strummed. I honestly didn't think it would ever happen lol That sounds pretty bad. Jeez.
I can see that Chinese company now using this Demo as a commercial to sell this thing, music is everi where even in the United states of America where music is passionate art
It could be good for a kid, just as a toy. But it also true that with a bad guitar like this we could stop his motivation and his pleasfull to play and definely his career and the dreams of a young musician.. better dont buy!
Kinda feel bad for seeing it wrecked. I mean, sure it sounded funny and tuning was balls. But.. like, it was for less than a dollar. Which ended up actually being more decent than I would've imagined. What in the name of the all forgiving Lord did you expect? Boy, ya really could've done loads of other things with it. And this may sound funny to some of you, but the no truss thing was something some of us were used to when practicing on a lot of locally/native made acoustics here in the Philippines. There's a certain level of guitar snobbery I see a lot on RUclips that I sincerely hope I don't reach.
Yeah, what the fuck did he expect for a dollar? A fully functional instrument? That's like 1 string of a normal guitar. Sure, not something I would play, but it would look beautiful modified aesthetically and maybr hung up on a wall
Ha! You played a Tesla song! Thats the riff I play when im checking out new acoustics, that and Zeppelins "Over the Hills and far away" ! Lol! Great video man!
Well.....you can't beat it for the 50 cent pricetag 😊. I actually bought a Chinese made, parlor (3/4 size) steel string acoustic guitar for $16.00. It was a very well made guitar, even for the normal retail price of $140.00. It was a full beginner package and came with a nice backpack gig bag (black canvas with beige faux leather accents/3 zipper storage pockets), capo, extra different color pic guard, 2 extra sets of strings, 5 pics w/pouch, string winder, clip on tuner, strap and, truss rod. It even came with 2 strap buttons installed. The brand was even burned into the head stock, around the sound hole, etc. The only thing wrong was that it had sharp frets that needed t oil be sanded down. Not a bad deal for 16 bucks. It took me a good 6 months and a call to Amazon Prime (they said they delivered it but it was either delivered to the wrong address or put outside my front door and was stolen). I'm guessing someone might have done a typo on the price and was hoping I would eat the $16 bucks and go away (guess again 😈. I wrote 6 emails and called 3x. Finally calling Amazon customer service which resolved it immediately and the 🎸 was at my BACK door within a week). Also, I ordered a good Yamaha solid top steel string for $140.00 in the meantime so I wound up getting both around the same time. I'm only a beginner/intermediate player and am starting up again after not even touching a guitar in 25 years. I had to get rid of my 2 previous guitars (a classical and a steel string Martin) a year ago, I moves into a condo my Mom and I purchased and found a parlor classical guitar in the garage. It had 2 steel strings and 4 nylon 😊. I bought the other 2 steel string acoustic guitars and my son gave me his old blue Squire Affinity electric since he has 2 Ibinez's and never plays it anymore (Now I only need an amp and will probably buy Rocksmith 2014. Maybe a Jamstick and definitely Guitar Tricks for a year.). I figure I might give the Chinese acoustic to my 8 year old grandson and teach him to play/purchase him lessons.

Glad someone seems to get it, my boy will be learning on my Japanese Jacksons if he decides to play
It took awhile getting used to the jumbo frets but now I quite like them
I hope your boy decides to learn guitar. As you know it can be difficult at first but well worth the effort in the end. Good luck and have fun

Lol. Love it. I just got a “studio mic “. From wish. I payed 1 $. Including shipping. Can’t wait to get it now. Lol.
Didn't even have to watch the video, the description had everything I needed.
First thing I'd do?
Paint it camouflage so my friends can't see me playing it!
This is one of the best guitar reviews I have ever seen! Precise, informative and... Never mind it was just damn funny!!
Well thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
Makes music, when I was homeless I'd have cried to have that.
That guitar sounds like the acoustic version of the electric guitar that is played by the shaggs.
I never really considered that an acoustic guitar could sound *bad* but hey, the more you know.
It doesn't matter how crap it is, it will get some kid going and learning the basics. Best thing I did was learning on a crap guitar, then when I picked up a good one and it was pure magic...
IKR? Then, years later, I got a real tube amp after using a 10" SS bedroom amp. 😍🤘
With a high action you could have used it for slide guitar.
Fifty cents? Man it sounds like a ten dollar guitar. That's a steal.
I recognize that model. It’s called a “ Hi-Strung 6 “ . Sold only in China.
For some poor kid who has no guitar, it is not bad for $0.75.
Tune it down a fifth or so to make it play easier and solve neck relief issues. Or just hang it on the wall. Great guitar for 50 cents.
Great video, I needed a laugh today. Buying it on wish, you are lucky it even showed up.
With the tuner, strap, and extra strings, I’d say that guitar could easily go for 20-30 dollars
That paint is not shoddy - it's reliced.
It costs more to do that.
i came across this video and i thought, "that's Walter Becker!!!"
You and everyone else!
I thought the same!
Jeez.
When your pick costs more than your guitar..... I'm actually surprised that it played at all. Definitely got his money's worth.
I like that You chose Tesla's. "what you give" to play on it
I'd get one for a homeless musician to mess around with
Why what's he done to you , he's got enough problems
as it is ...
Kinda spiteful.
I like it.
If you had the money,
@@ronnyp6934 I dont think he meant it that way 💀
@@Choppxnick I know but i could not resist a funny , if his comment was meant sincerely i respect that ,we need more people who care ...
I swear to god I was just casually talking with my cousin about music when he mentions he got an instrument and pulls out THE SAME EXACT GUITAR 😂😂😂
Its not snobbery, it's expecting a functional instrument for the money you pay in cases aside from this video.
You should've gone full on classic guitar smash haha
I like the "cute" designation. On a similar note, I only watch movies that Netflix tags as being "swoonworthy."
I think I can say with confidence that you cannot get a better price anywhere else lol
Sorry for the long post but just felt like sharing with the class 😁 🎸🎵🎶 😎.
This video will give you a "appetite for guitar destruction so to speak"!!!
The sound, action height and impossibility to tune this piece of plywood reminds me of old soviet mass-produced acoustic guitars.
By the way, the action is so high because of the nut.
hey i just bought it nice!!!
1966 9yrs old bagged! Parents got me acoustic for x-mas! Took lessons from college guy after a month he said your guitar is un-tunable and unplayable! Broke my heart! Told Parents no guitar! Took till I was 20yrs been playing now for 40yrs! Thanks for the bad memories!! Lol!
Are u kidding me this actually real
I was just as surprised
Dude I have 60 £ guitar and its shit but I still trying playing
I want electric guitar so much
So the cute tuner was the cherry on top of this deal, huh??? Lmao. Dude your comedy on this was great. Now bust out some Spanish Fly or Little Guitars(intro) on that sweet "extremely high" action!!😅🤣😂🤣😅😭 Greatly funny video bro!!
Thank you!
When the strings cost more than the guitar
Omg he hearted my comment
A playable guitar that is worth less than a dollar is an awesome deal!
It cost him much more to post it to you within your country than it cost him to buy and get the guitar posted from China to his place!
Thats is perfect for a kid wanting to learn on. Easy on the parents' budget.
Looks like a guitar I bought at a truck stop on the way to Vegas. When I got back to where I live, at the beach, it literally fell apart. Unglued, warped neck, a pile of garbage!
I believe John Hiatt would make an exception for these guitars.
Shoulda went full Hendrix. Lighter fluid n flame hahahaha
John Blackbird its made of plastic & toxic glue 🤨🤮
plastic dreds RULE! you can take em to pools, loakes, rivers boating and it doesnt matter of they get wet.. so cool
