Joe Schmidt press conferences analysis is like he can recall the slightest occurrence in the game. Hes very intelligent and will bring out the best in this team as he did Ireland's team.
Jeremy Williams making us in Perth proud… what a player he will be. Still so young go. Lookingat George Martin being only 22 for England… they will be great locks going forward.
I've been saying this since Joe Schmidt took over, that this Australian team would start to build towards the Lions tour and the 2027 Rugby World Cup. This team was selected from players coming from a good season in Super Rugby, (Bar the Warratahs) where they were alot better, and it shows. This Wallabie team is going to get better and will take a few scalps on their way. A stronger Australian team is a good thing for World Rugby, people tend to forget that Australia have 2 RWC titles.
@@Wildkard You're not wrong. I just believe Australia with Joe Schmidt at the helm and all the young talent, have a higher ceiling than people realize.
I've been waiting a while for this moment where you're wearing your Wallabies shirt with some pride and even a smile again. Great news, even as a Springbok fan I believe rugby needs a competitive Wallabies side and I'm glad they finally look like a side that can build back to greatness. I thought the Wallabies played a solid game, their basics looked mostly good and more importantly for me they had some confidence about them. Happy for you boet, the Wallabies future is looking a lot more promising..
Great start from our Wallabies team! Players looking like they want to wear that jersey ! Only can get better from here;still coach Joe has plenty of options/players to pick! Go Wallabies go!🎉
Congratulations Wildkard! I remember your initial excitement when Eddie Jones returned to coach Australia before the RWC2023. I didn't think it would eventually take Rainman Schmidt to make it work. Finally the Cadbury Wallabies now taste the way it says on the box. Sweet! 😊
Well done Wallabies. Good win on your first hit out. Re-building stage, definitely will get better. Good on the selectors, loyalty to domestic players. Well done John n coaching staff.
Goeie dag Wildcard! Considering where the Wallabies were end of 2023, this was a MASSIVE improvement and man it’s good to have the Wallabies back! “Schmidt it In” and The South had risen this weekend!! 👍🏻💪🏻
Great weekend of rugby, argentina france also worth a watch. Promising signs for Australia, with things still to work on but quite a turn around for Schmidt from a 40 point pasting less than a year ago. Good look for world rugby with how competative all the games were this weekend.
Solid set piece, some pretty useful kicks, and a nice structure to the attack pattern, have to agree, they're a different team than the one Eddy shafted. Wales in a rebuilding phase, some real flashes of brilliance, and they played with a lot of heart, discipline was a bit of a problem, and a few handling errors at some crucial moments really cost them. Another great game of Rugga, how good is international Rugby, congrats mate.
Man there was a point where I found myself hoping Wales get a result over there and then I thought " nah, what would that do to Wildkard?" What has this channel done to me?!?!
Lord Laurie will fix the maul defence. I thought one of the first Australian mauls in attack (early first half) looked very well set up as well so there is so evidence of Laurie Fisher's work already. I'm not sure Wright is the answer at blindside. I think Cale will put a lot of pressure on to start at 8 moving Valentini to 6. I also would like to see more speed out wide - Daugunu isn't that quick although he played ok.
daugunu is pick on his defense, which most of our wingers has been a bit of a liability in super rugby. cale was great off the bench lots of energy but i think hes a bit undercooked to start yet. good efforts off the bench. the maul defense really needs to be hard look at for next week
Little bit of trivia: for the first time since 2019, the wallabies get a win in Sydney and the first time since 2016 (i think, correct me if im wrong) that the wallabies beat a tier 1 team in Sydney

@@michaelbaxter7452 ;) It’s an unusual prediction to say the least …I’ll happily give you that … however… Schmidt will mould them and provided he gets a clear run at it will be a serious contender for the final stages of the RWC and they are very hard to beat in their own backyard.
