One thing to help keep your garden tools, and gloves close and dry is I put up a large mailbox 📬 that I had extra in the middle of my yard / garden. No need to look for anything I know exactly where it all is.👍🤝💥
you had me as a subscriber as soon as I hear "got this seeds at the dollar store" 😂 that's where I got mine from and was looking how to grow them in containers 🤩
I also live in Florida zone 9b. Our sandy soil has made it very difficult to grow until I discovered compost at the local landfill. They used to deliver it in a huge truck, but now I have to go get it. They make it from all the bags of leaves and tree limbs set out every week. Nearly my whole garden is now containers and one thing I started doing early on is to put earthworms in every one of them. It turns out that earthworms thrive in my containers. Although it does get really hot here, I love that I get to grow all the year long. I happened to find you while scrolling through the suggested and now you have a new subscriber. Today I’ll be starting sugar baby watermelons, too. Thanks for sharing. I’ll definitely be following your garden adventures.

Watching from Australia. I just started gardening a few years ago . I finally got 9 pumpkins on my vines and then the possums ate them all overnight. We live and learn so next year I will bag them in netted bags. Might try watermelons now.

How did your watermelons turn out in the tote container. I was considering doing watermelons but don’t have the space in my garden so I want to do it in containers. Love this video.
Hello there! Unfortunately, my plants didn’t make it. I believe it was too much rain and inadequate drainage. Also not enough full sunshine with the banana plants. But I am not giving up. Those totes make a nice big container but its too bad you cant get a tray for them to collect the drainage water as it would dry out fairly quick if you dont water often.
Drill or melt your drainage holes 1.5/2" from the bottom to hold water for your totes.

On heavy clay here - feeling jealous of your Sandy soil!
Oh my! After watching so many many videos with clay soils I will never complain about sandy soil. Thanks for watching!!
I have plant 3 five gallon containers of sugar baby watermelon seeds and the should be germinating shortly. I wish all the best of growing success. Many have been successful and I know you and and I can too. Thanks so much for watching and Be Well!!!
@@sbf_fl Thank you😊
That tool belt is a very smart idea. I know I am doing my own soil as well. I find too much stuff in the compost the we buy from the stores.
Thank you and doing your own soil is well worth it!
Thanks for the content!
