I've been a NASCAR fan as long as a f1 fan from the late 70s. This was a great moment for NASCAR to have a F1 champion running in the top ten basically stepping into the car for the first time in 10/11 years?
Shows two things today - TH is a legit nascar team right out of the box freshman year - 2 - Kimi can drive anything and well.
We won't see Kimi in a car full time, but you never know who might get a bug and say they want to try this Cup car thing. Most of all, like Romain has experienced in Indy, we are a different atmosphere from Europe, and all for the better.
Unfortunate ending that was no fault of his own. I wanted to see him finish so badly.
Nascar needs to look at the proposition Justin Marks brought to them and use it as a development and marketing tool to grow the sport. I don't doubt we'll see a race in Europe some day.

A lot of the hesitation comes from the fact that NASCAR rules do not allow for much practice at all. One of the best all-around drivers of the 2000s. F1, Rally, Motocross, NASCAR. Kimi has basically driven it all.

Its sad to see such a great f1 driver go down to this level not that nascar is bad but look at what it did to montoya when he went back to f1

NASCAR is a completely different beast- stock cars are vastly different to F1 cars. Racing is also different, so it's extremely difficult to adapt here.

both sports are on the top level of their respective categories. f1 is top level open wheelers, nascar is like the f1 of stock cars.

@@legolite45 on behalf of Kimi's fans I want to apologise for this man's behavior. Also I'm not sure if he even knows what he is talking about as Montoya never got back to F1 after Nascar, because he was sick of it at that point
