Very well and simply said. I had to go through several before I could stand someone's voice or even grasp what they were saying. Thanks.

Got it. I didn't know it matters if you've already started creating the document and then go back and create the table of contents. MSoft had a video that showed you could do it...but..it didn't work. Your way did...thanks again.

    A natural-born teacher. Well done.
I have run into a real WORD stumper today: The page number in the header is not FULLY at the right margin, though there is no tab set, either. It is about one-inch recessed (toward the left). So far, I can't find any issue that would explain this anomaly. This was a client's document, so I did not set it up. It has normal 1-inch margins (which show correctly when the View/Ruler is turned on) and the number font is in the Normal Style.

    Evan,
I really enjoyed your method of showing how to make a Table of Contents. It is nice to make the headings first then flesh the document out after. GOOD JOB. I didn't catch how you moved the table up to the top of the document but I've already learned to move my cursor to the beginning of the document before crating the Table.

I have subparagraphs that are numbered (1) or (a). Each is a different level, each is the title immediately followed by the text on the same line. I can select the title and make it a h eader but if I add, say a new paragraph that is now (b) and pushes former (b) to (c) when I update I still don't see the change. I could attach a screenshot but don't see an attachment option:(
