Thanks for the memories Daz - my first visit to Thailand in 1999 I stayed in the Twin Palms, was called "Palm Lodge" back then. Stayed a couple more times the following years with my Thai wife who I met in Pattaya. You give excellent advice in your videos and I couldn't agree more with all of it BUT as a balance, I did meet a Thai bargirl and 24 years later we are still married, live in UK and our daughter has just graduated with a masters degree. Anything is possible!
Just returned from a three week vacation to Thailand including two weeks in Pattaya. Had a wonderful time, followed your advice from your videos and made it home without becoming a sponsor.😁
Hi daz , another great review, the twin palms looks good , the march looks reasonable , the natural beach , the lady could not care less ,I guess , a big weight to move from her chair , I will give that one a miss , thanks daz for you effort again
Can someone tell me I can never understand why is it cheaper to book online than direct to hotel as you would think an agent would charge more agoda etc etc for commission 1700 for room 1000 online can never understand that
I stayed at Natural Beach and the room was nasty. The staff looked the same as you showed and not welcoming and had an attitude problem like they really don't want to be working there. It's one of the few hotels in Pattaya on my never stay again list.
The attitude problem you see everywhere in pattaya, hotels, restaurants etc, some thai still dont seem to get it, how to treat a paying customer. Behaviour is somethimes even rude. The staff is 80% Isaan, without social skills or a proper education.
Hi Daz mate always good info on all your places GC to R+R to accommodation But I have to second the top remarks Very unfriendly staff I also stayed there back in the day 900 baht no breaki Bathroom so so But here is my main complaint it is frequented by the butter nam and turbine brigade Opposite my room 9 people One o or two book and rest cf brigade follows I counted 9 sleeping four on bed five on floor the noise levels was worse than rav spot Then two doors up one turbine guy went for a freelancer beach road take away when brought his take away back to his room there were 4 others turbines gents waiting in the room why I know this the take away started shouting that she doesn't want to entertain 5 Again the shouting and noise levels through the roof So this will be my reason for not going back there That's my grips The other places have good information and are helpful Cheers mate Mally
I have stayed at the March hotel - it was fantastic. Omg the bed was amazing. They also had to put me in the May hotel for a few days because March was full and there was a problem with my aircon. They were very helpful :) May was definitely a higher quality- the room appeared recently renovated compared to March but the layout and everything was identical. I now stay at Maxxcity (awesome) when I come but for a short stay would jump at March hotel in a heartbeat. It was awesome :)
Thanks for the video. I know it is probably just my preference, but I like to stay at hotel closer to 2nd Rd or even between 2nd Rd and Soi Buakhao and South of Central Pattaya Rd. Why? Because Soi Buakhao and all the side Sois are starting to become the center of Pattaya nightlife. However it is hard to access Soi Buakhao by foot if you are close to Beach Road if you are also North of Central Pattaya Road. It is either take the baht bus on Beach Rd all the way down to Walking Street than back up 2nd Rd (which takes 20-30 minutes plus with traffic) and then walk to Soi Buakhao or just do a Bolt or Grab. But if you are on 2nd Rd South of Central Pattaya Rd it is quite convenient to walk to Beach, walk to Soi Buakhao and use the baht buses to get around. Plus Walking Street is quickly losing its allure to me other than the occassional night out at a dance club with friends. Out of the three hotels I would pick the March hotel I think.
The March/May hotel has 2 pools . Tried to book it for the end of November but sold out . A lot of the hotel are sold out especially the last weekend of November because of the fireworks festival .
Hi Daz , thank you for your videos. I am coming to Pattaya for a couple of days and I want to visit the Gents Clubs . Which hotel is best to stay in . I like the March Hotel on this video.
I just checked the march hotel for 5 nights in mid november & its 900 euro on booking ,not a notion.there is a great spot on top of 13/1,tuks sports bar, great rooms, very clean, nice showers,100% ,uou should check ut out.nice people also
Hi daz, wondering if you know of(or possibly do a video on) condos you could rent on a month by month basis, without the commitment of wanting 6 months plus... cheers mate
I usually stay in view talay 6 but it's becoming much more expensive so ive booked the whisper hotel for December. Looks nice but we'll see how it works out
I stayed at the March ,and would stay again.Rooms really nice ,hotel is nice .It can be noisy because it echoes people opening and closing doors and music going...
Hi Daz. I don't know what price the air fares will be December, but since Covid low season round trip on a direct flight from London Heathrow has risen 50% and is now £750 for economy ticket all year round! Stopover, not sure, also British Airways from Gatwick from late October not sure? But those hotel prices are quite reasonable!
Yes, it's somewhat spoilt the experience, just booked and it's £1.5k and more in Dec before Christmas and about £1k in January after new year. As you say - Food & accommodation in Thailand still cheap, not really changed that much (relatively) over 25 years.
@@PenttisHSR Thanks for the comment mate! Christmas fares used to be between £800 to £1000 pre Covid, but £1,500 I suppose that's also 50% more! You can still get a half decent hotel or small guest house for 600 to 700 Bhat a night in Central Pattaya, even cheaper if you stay for a month! Good luck and enjoy your stay mate! 👍👍
@@williamruby9691 and girls is also up around 50-100%. I dont understand why people simply just stay in Europe and spend the cost for the airfare here...?
Of the 3, the march Hotel is the good one the other 2, look, run down, and seen there day. I've stayed on the may side for a week, its a a very clean modern hotel with a nice bed. The bad thing is the walls are thin and other then soi 6 your not close to anything
The MAY Hotel and MARCH Hotel are NOT the same swimming Pool and the rooms are not the same. You need go take a look at the MAY swimming Pool and it also has its own Gym and poolside bar. The pool is much better in the MAY
Good advice for first-time travelers to Pattaya. I don't like to skimp on accommodations. Everyone says, "I want a cheap place to stay, I won't be in the hotel room that much anyway." I say baloney. I've traveled all over the world, and trying to save a few bucks on hotel costs will come back and bite you on the butt... literally! 🪲

Wow! Congratulations! There is hope for me! 😅
Great story! Truly anything is possible!

Bathroom so so
But here is my main complaint it is frequented by the butter nam and turbine brigade
Opposite my room 9 people
One o or two book and rest cf brigade follows I counted 9 sleeping four on bed five on floor the noise levels was worse than rav spot
Then two doors up one turbine guy went for a freelancer beach road take away when brought his take away back to his room there were 4 others turbines gents waiting in the room why I know this the take away started shouting that she doesn't want to entertain 5
Again the shouting and noise levels through the roof
So this will be my reason for not going back there
That's my grips

Stayed in march may and august all very nice best beds I’ve ever slept in
Thanks for the Hotel rooms and prices, glad you ask if they have safety boxes. Thanks Daz

I always stay at the AA hotel right on beach road. Its older and basic but nice pool and fantastic location.
Was staying in the march last week excellent hotel nice room but lots of Soi dogs around ok in day light but can be bit of a pain at night

Hi daz, wondering if you know of(or possibly do a video on) condos you could rent on a month by month basis, without the commitment of wanting 6 months plus... cheers mate
The only ones I know of are Airbnb condos, and they are difficult to video because there is no staff
Well that does surprise me no monthly rate some do some don't I suppose thanks for asking.
In twin palms they could not because they were fully booked.
I usually stay in view talay 6 but it's becoming much more expensive so ive booked the whisper hotel for December. Looks nice but we'll see how it works out

Daz , I still prefer view talay 6 at around 1000 a night
Twin Palms is nice - appears to be sold out through a lot of high season. Will look at it next year though.
big girl didnt want to move lol
Daz I would appreciate if you put the price in Indian rupees as well
Thankyou
Is it really high season now?
Starts Nov 1st
I liked the march and may the most but I prefer a soft mattress.

Could you please do a review of the Sleep with me hotel Pattaya.
Could you book for 3. Then no extra charge for you + two guests?
No, it won't work like that, they will charge you 500 for the extra guest, guaranteed
no safe in room no me unfortunately

Should rent or stay in a hotel while building Not likely to ever be in Thailand over 5 months a year.
