Holy fuck, my dad passed away 3 years ago (RiP David, you never fail to suprise me from the fucking grave)and I watched it around the same time in the morning too, thats an amazing coincidence or this is basically magic, im sure of it lol
I was incredibly impressed by their adaption of Pinhead and the way he has been integrated into the game, especially as a character that I felt would be more difficult than many of the more standard slashers already in the game. Was waiting for this video!
I was excited to hear your opinion on him. As I think his power and lore are PERFECTLY fitted to him. They definitly did my favorite movie killer justice. Not to mention his ABSOLUTELY brilliant animations
One thing I love about Hellraiser is that it inspired Miura as well, to create the God Hand in Berserk, and as mentioned in this video Silent Hill etc. Such a influential series.
Hellraiser was decently influential in the religious side of horror but it squandered its potential and influence greatly silent hill and exorcist filled the shoes he couldn’t fit.
I still remember watching Hellraiser with all my fellow survivors and killers at the campfire with Lore Guy, WHICH YOU SHOULD JOIN. "The goopus man has come to steal your genitals."
As someone who was hoping for Springtrap, I'm immensely satisfied with how they included Pinhead into the game, and it just makes me even more excited for what they could do with the former when he gets in!
@Miguel Messina i also kinda want a Slenderman chapter. There could be. New killer, new map, and a new survivor. There's so much potential and I don't think there's a licensing issue with slenderman
@Miguel Messina The Clown and The Doctor are based off real life serial killers and happenings, I don’t see why Slenderman can’t be in the game, especially since he has his tendrils that could easily be a weapon. Not saying I agree with BHVR using said properties, I just don’t see why Slendy is any different than the other killers who are based off of real life crimes
@Miguel Messina Well SpringTrap kinda just jump scares people, that’s where the DbD team can get original and make the killer special, kind of like they did with Ghostface since he was technically an original character made for DbD. I think if they put the time into it, they could make Slendy a killer, even if it is unlikely
@Miguel Messina It does since he did speak English even if it's one word he still spoke so how does it not count when a baby says it's first word does that not count as speaking cause that's the logic that Im hearing from you
2:50 I’m surprised you also didn’t mention judge death from judge dread and the bat-man who laughs from dc comics who are also deeply inspired by pinhead and the cenobites
“What’s your favorite Pixel Brush video, little Timmy?” I liked it when he talked about BDSM for two full minutes! Love your work man, keep up the amazing work!
I came back just to comment about how not only did we get the voice lines back, but they are Doug Bradley's!!!!! It now truly is the perfect hellraiser chapter.
I'm another person who absolutely loved Hellraiser. Silent Hill 2 has been my favourite game since I discovered it in 2002 and I love Heironeous Bosch to the point where I own a pair of Doc Martins boots with scenes from his Garden of Earthly Delights painting on them even though they're 2 sizes too big for me. Nice to see another horror fan inspired by the same things! I wasn't as excited about the Silent Hill release as I was about Pinhead, to be honest. Such a great wealth of lore! Not that Silent Hill doesn't, but I feel DBD is a bit more compatible with Pinhead and the lore of the Cenobites.
I was soooo excited for this video and this chapter! You wouldn't believe how many headcanons I already have for him in the fog. I hope I can catch a stream and share some sometime soon
I really enjoy DBD slowly becoming Smash Bros. of horror. Tell me, who would've predicted that one day you'd be able to chase Laurie Strode, Steve Harrington and Leon Kennedy as Pinhead in the building from Saw?
I like tha creep factor added when ya think of Pinhead being a separate entity within the ENtiddie's realm that showed up one day uninvited, unannounced (to Tha ENtitty that is) and hijackin' Trials with a different vision in mind for the unsuspectin' Survivors... Pinhead is like an uninvited guest you'd probably find under ya bed or in yer closet, or in this case, waiting under Gideon Meat Plant.
WOAH GREAT FILM chill out chill out the first one sure but like chill I know you play dbd and probably never seen anything after hellraiser 1 but uh yea that man has been trash for years I only suggest 1,2 and judgment . For real people need to stop gassing up pin head he’s decent but that franchise is garbage
I'd highly recommend watching the Hellraiser/ Cabal crossover summary on RUclips. It shows the daily life of Cenobites when they're not torturing people. The cenobites interacting with each other like petty coworkers is hilarious (Like other cenobites calling chatterer an annoying suck up or pinhead straight up calling another the biggest asshole in hell). It really goes more into the order of cenobites and shows that pinhead isn't evil at all he simply serves Leviathan the most and that's why he has the title "Hell's favorite".
This series holds a special place in my heart, I’ve struggled with self harm before and still am. The cenobites are so far fetched but so real at the same time, there really just victims who has the same struggles as me and The Leviathan uses that pain to manipulate the cenobites. This franchise scares the hell out of me not because of Jumpscares but with the fear of turning out like one of the cenobites. So happy he’s in the game, they tried very hard on him and that is pretty apparent
I think a way that shows BHVR is still very passionate in this game isn't just how unique Pinhead's powers is, or how loyal they made him to the original, it's our introduction to a new type of perk: Scourge Hooks. Don't get me wrong, everything else is great, but throwing in new perk types this late into the game's development shows they're still invested in keeping this game fresh. I'm looking forward to seeing what new Killer perks will revolve around Scourge Hooks, and if there'll be a new type of Survivor perk on the horizon.
"Barker drew influence from classical cinematic depictions of Count Dracula, in particular as portrayed by Christopher Lee in the Hammer Horror film series"
What do you think of spring trap and I have never been more excited to see your videos in my feed cause of your interesting video essays on dbd killers and especially pinhead.
the cenobite and the cube that summon them also clearly what inspired the god hand from the anime manga series Berserk ; that ironically also have bad sequels after the original.
Kinda late, but there's something very eerie about how compared to the collection of freaks, monsters and mutated people in Dbd, Pinhead looks and acts fairly composed. Even some of the quieter killers have an element of brutality to them, but Pinhead seems to do everything in a sort of orderly fashion.
Okay, I have a suggestion that I think would be awesome. Imagine if there was a unique animation in which, if a survivor dripped blood on the spot where someone was mori'd by Pinhead, then a little animation would play, maybe as simple as a skeletal/rotting arm reaching up from the ground. It wouldn't even have to be a full corpse or anything - just a little homage to the blood drips summoning Pinhead's victims back from beyond death.
Best killer in the game as im sure most will agree theme matters. Just look at the hype difference between a K pop artist compared to a Cenobyte. They show cased everything this guy is without giving any lore. This killer is thematically perfect. Just need to fix a few bugs
@Miguel Messina To be fair in their defence, they kinda had to dig deep into the lore in their game just so they can have any info regarding the story or a potential new release for a game. Compared to the hints and stuff from the FNAF games, the tweets were basically just a cake walk for them and they were justified into thinking that maybe it could be Springtrap despite how "in your face" the tweets became that "Hey, this is Pinhead from Hellraiser."
@Miguel Messina I mean.... Who wouldn't want to have their theories be right? Plus alot of them has been doing it simply by FNAF's nature of having its lore more speculative for years so it's expected. Also, I don't see how mentioning your opinion on Matpat's theories applies here. Atleast he's actually trying to back up his theories with research.
To be fair to Trickster, his character is the most unique and fabulous because he is literally the only killer apart from Ghostface who can be really in real life. A monster in human clothing. Trickster and the ideas behind that concept reminds me of a quote: "The best trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing he world he never existed" I think I butchered that but I'm sure you know what I mean. Also, Trickster is a literal celebrity, people idolise him and if he ever did get arrested for murder, the nation and the world would go crazy on social media and such. Trickster has one of the best characters. Him, Pinhead and Pyramid Head are the best lore killers.
I really like fnaf but I really don’t know how they would make springtrap into the game, because he can be seen in multiple way and forms, so I was hoping for candyman because his power could be really straight forward
i was never the biggest fan of the Hellraiser movies but im happy for those that wanted him in the game especially since it looks like the devs actually did a good job on him and he looks fun
I wish the box was actually a small puzzle the survivors had to solve that was relatively easy, or at least forced survivors to commit to solving it rather than spamming it or holding it hostage
I love Pinhead. All he needs are a couple tweaks and buffs (as you mentioned at the end) and I think he could be a really solid killer. Blight was pretty rough in the Public Test Build but great on release, so hoping that the Hell Priest will get similar treatment.
The Hellraiser rights is supposed to change back to Barker on December 19 though, so I wonder if since Behaviour probably dealt with the previous owners, this could bring the same kind of trouble we are having right now with Stranger Things for example.
When I first saw the teaser for Pinhead I was the one singular person who thought it would be Samara from Ringu/The Ring. Just thought I'd mention that since I have few opportunities to mention it.
Honestly rewatching many of the sequels, including 3,4,5,6 lately. The Hellraiser sequels don't suck as much as 3 tried to make it a slasher, 4 tried to return it to psychological horror (and failed) and 5 and 6 tried to make it Silent Hill and did a decent job. I watched 7 years ago and am afraid of rewatching but the truth is, we always wanted more Pinhead. And then we always cringe when we get more Pinhead. The first Hellraiser movie was perfect in many ways because it showed the cenobites at the beginning and it showed the cenobites in the middle initial Descent of ice at the end. I don't think the Hell Priest even has 10 lines but if you watched it, you remember all of them. So we asked for more...
Holy shit, I didn’t know a vampire was being teased, funny thing is, i had this cool dream. There was a new killer that was a vampire, and if he went to either exit gate he could disguise randomly as one of the survivors and even help them with their objectives, and at any moment he could pop out of his costume and attack.
I'm i the only one who think after seeing pinheads animations pyramid head needs and animation updates ? especially to breaking walls and picking up survivors like dragging them to the hook by the neck and using his great knife to break pallets and doors
i think and i HOPE that this is one of the chapters BHVR doesn't have to nerf, but i agree with the tweaks and buffs you mentioned since survivors can already see the box's aura
Year 50 of waiting for the Xenomorph. I am on my last legs. My light fades. My eyes blur. Yet I wait patiently, for soon the patience shall be rewarded and when that day comes, I shall be the first to welcome his divine hand.

It's one of my favorite movies of all time because it was one of my dad's favorites. I watched it years ago with him one night at 2 in the morning and I was blown away by what I saw. He passed away 3 years ago and he is one of the reasons I became the horror fan I am now (dbd being the other reason) and I wish he was here to see pinhead added into the game. Great vid as always pixel bush.
Gotta prestige 3 him now and become top Pinhead player
Holy fuck, my dad passed away 3 years ago (RiP David, you never fail to suprise me from the fucking grave)and I watched it around the same time in the morning too, thats an amazing coincidence or this is basically magic, im sure of it lol
"Xenbytes can't be harmed by mundane weapons "
LAUGHS IN Decisive stike
I was incredibly impressed by their adaption of Pinhead and the way he has been integrated into the game, especially as a character that I felt would be more difficult than many of the more standard slashers already in the game. Was waiting for this video!
I love how his animations effect the surroundings of the trail, making him use his chains to break a gen ect.
(He does feel a bit weak tho)
I was excited to hear your opinion on him. As I think his power and lore are PERFECTLY fitted to him. They definitly did my favorite movie killer justice.
Not to mention his ABSOLUTELY brilliant animations
I hope they took out the audio just so Doug Bradley could do the lines. I would be so psyched
They got Doug's voice now. Pin head is now, pure, perfection. I can't get enough.
@Miguel Messina damn
Never thought that this channel will touch BDSM themes ever... everything for lore and education, am I right!?!
16:41 technically nemesis did first with his “S.T.A.R.S” voice line pulling Jill out of a locker or doing a mori on her but it isn’t very common
Okay, but THIS GUY HAS MULTIPLE VOICELINES!!
@Miguel Messina
yes but it is still spoken English
@Miguel Messina It does since he did speak English even if it's one word he still spoke so how does it not count when a baby says it's first word does that not count as speaking cause that's the logic that Im hearing from you
It's really nice to see a pallet and gen breaking animation that it's not the exact same one for once
Nemesis pallet smash tho :c
0:35 I agree, They teased the Blight for awhile with the Alchemist stuff, it's possible they're just taking their time trying to make a proper Vampire
2:50 I’m surprised you also didn’t mention judge death from judge dread and the bat-man who laughs from dc comics who are also deeply inspired by pinhead and the cenobites
“What’s your favorite Pixel Brush video, little Timmy?”
I liked it when he talked about BDSM for two full minutes!
Quoting the watchmojo, this video really says a lot about "online multiplier phenomenon of dead by daylight"
@Miguel Messina the floor is indeed made out of floor
I absolutely love your dbd lore videos, I find myself constantly rewatching them
I was soooo excited for this video and this chapter!
Quintin: what's going on?
Steve: RUN MAN HE'S GOT PINS ON HIS HEAD!!!!!
A great film with a great adaptation. He’s fun powerful and extremely unique
He's not powerfull, more on the weaker side. If he gets the buffs he needs he is perfect.
@@auberginenhunter1329 I have to disagree, but hey opinions can be divisive especially off launch
@@rafaelz6211 Lets see
WOAH GREAT FILM chill out chill out the first one sure but like chill I know you play dbd and probably never seen anything after hellraiser 1 but uh yea that man has been trash for years I only suggest 1,2 and judgment . For real people need to stop gassing up pin head he’s decent but that franchise is garbage
I always felt that dbd was essentially just purgatory, and now with pinheads mori it feels like it’s a hell or heaven choice
I will eagerly await your deep dive lore video on the Pinhead
God I wish Christopher Lee was still alive, imagine him voicing Dracula in this game and playing as a Vampiric Christopher Lee
He died?!!
Omg yes
This series holds a special place in my heart, I’ve struggled with self harm before and still am. The cenobites are so far fetched but so real at the same time, there really just victims who has the same struggles as me and The Leviathan uses that pain to manipulate the cenobites. This franchise scares the hell out of me not because of Jumpscares but with the fear of turning out like one of the cenobites. So happy he’s in the game, they tried very hard on him and that is pretty apparent
they really captured just how immensely powerful pinhead is, his level of control over the entity's realm is unmatched.
Not when compared to Lord English
Honestly pinhead could control the entity if he so desired
What do you think of spring trap and I have never been more excited to see your videos in my feed cause of your interesting video essays on dbd killers and especially pinhead.
the cenobite and the cube that summon them also clearly what inspired
the god hand from the anime manga series Berserk ; that ironically also have bad sequels after the original.
are we just gonna ignore the fact that he just phased through the wall at 11:09?
i guess so
Amazing video! Your passion for pinhead is awesome! I love how dbd truly is the hall of fame of horror
i believe that behavior REALLY did a pretty god job with him, really well done killer and fun ability.
First we get a tentacle & now we’ve got chains. What’s next a straight up whip perhaps? 😆
Animatronic boobies
Kinda late, but there's something very eerie about how compared to the collection of freaks, monsters and mutated people in Dbd, Pinhead looks and acts fairly composed. Even some of the quieter killers have an element of brutality to them, but Pinhead seems to do everything in a sort of orderly fashion.
11:12 I see they’ve buffed pinhead so that he can traverse high wall loops easier.
*Pinhead is the first killer to speak English*
Nemesis, sadly: Stars...
I'm glad I actually discovered your vida man. Your actually one of the few good lore readers out there. You are indeed, the goat.
The voice lines are Doug, they're just altered voice lines from the first movie
I’m just glad Pinhead gets a lot of Love 💕
They put a lotta work into this one, they just need to buff some aspects of his power and he'll be hands down the best licensed character of all!
Miguel Messina he didn't mention fnaf tho
@@universeimagination7495 Shut it, fnaf and their "fan theories" are nothing but complete bs.
To be fair to Trickster, his character is the most unique and fabulous because he is literally the only killer apart from Ghostface who can be really in real life. A monster in human clothing. Trickster and the ideas behind that concept reminds me of a quote:
"The best trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing he world he never existed"
I think I butchered that but I'm sure you know what I mean.
Me: *comes in looking for pinhead info*
PBE: *discusses bdsm for 3 minutes*
I love Pinhead. All he needs are a couple tweaks and buffs (as you mentioned at the end) and I think he could be a really solid killer. Blight was pretty rough in the Public Test Build but great on release, so hoping that the Hell Priest will get similar treatment.
I thought Pinhead was materializing a chain to slap survivors with.
Isn't the lore for Pinhead in DBD is that one day he just appeared in the Entity's realm and the Entity was like, "Aight, that's cool. You can stay".
The Hellraiser rights is supposed to change back to Barker on December 19 though, so I wonder if since Behaviour probably dealt with the previous owners, this could bring the same kind of trouble we are having right now with Stranger Things for example.
I really want Candyman. But I'm happy with Pinhead too.
When I first saw the teaser for Pinhead I was the one singular person who thought it would be Samara from Ringu/The Ring. Just thought I'd mention that since I have few opportunities to mention it.
For his side special, he wields a chain
Pinheads abilities are legit beyond perfect. Really puts a highlight on how sad leather face is
RIP the voice. From a 10/10 masterpiece to a 9.5/10 release
nah more like a 5.
@@dickpays What is a 10/10 killer then?
So we asked for more...
we need to do more horror movie nights in the story circle, it was so good.
That he came meme got a good chuckle out of me
Holy shit, I didn’t know a vampire was being teased, funny thing is, i had this cool dream. There was a new killer that was a vampire, and if he went to either exit gate he could disguise randomly as one of the survivors and even help them with their objectives, and at any moment he could pop out of his costume and attack.
i like to think he just rolled up to the entity's realm because it seemed fun. lol
16:25 wtf you can see the literal wheels on this prop lmao
I'm i the only one who think after seeing pinheads animations pyramid head needs and animation updates ? especially to breaking walls and picking up survivors like dragging them to the hook by the neck and using his great knife to break pallets and doors
I’m from the future and they finally got Doug Bradley to do the voice lines
Great video man! I love that they added him, now Myers has some real competition. I just really hope he gets a buff!
Man all these horror icons in one game. Speaking of the TV I kinda want Sadako to be in the game.
This aged like milk (9/18/21, the day DBD died)
Been waiting for this!!! A 20 minute video makes me ascend
Hopefully this sets a precedent and we begin getting Killer quotes in certain events.
i think and i HOPE that this is one of the chapters BHVR doesn't have to nerf, but i agree with the tweaks and buffs you mentioned since survivors can already see the box's aura
16:40 technically Nemesis is the first killer to speak English, when using a Mori on Jill or Chris
Year 50 of waiting for the Xenomorph. I am on my last legs. My light fades. My eyes blur. Yet I wait patiently, for soon the patience shall be rewarded and when that day comes, I shall be the first to welcome his divine hand.
When the chapter was revealed, I could not understand why Hellraiser got so much hatred with players even complaining "He's not even that scary!". Imagine, an extradimensional being who is so deep into sadism, They feel pleasure from brining others untold pain.....forever.
Those were the dark eldar and yeah they do make the cenobites look safe sane and consensual compared towards the shit that the Dark Eldar get up towards. From warhammer 40k.
