"Whatever... crowbars are for geeky video-game characters." - Grim
Aaaahhh! I see what she did there. ;)
I lost it when I heard that Half Life reference.
"You can spare 30 seconds for some simple dignity"
Man do I love Sam Fisher, I really hope they come back with another splinter cell I fucking love his character.
"Gotcha!".... "Hey! You're not supposed to be up here." "Tell me something useful and I'll leave.." Forget it! I won't tell you anything." "Are you crazy?? We're on the 60th floor." "Wha...what do you mean??" "You know, it's not true you go unconscious before you hit the ground... you see it coming the whole way." ...... "You.... you wouldn't !! ....... (??)" We just don't get that kind of coolness in Blacklist.
Ooof that was hard to read.

"They're not my men, Colonel, and they're not yours, either. They're just men. Husbands. Fathers. Sons. Same as you and I. Do they need to die for our mistakes?"
Dove moment in a sky full of hawks.
yes! by far the best splinter cell game ever made
Yea it was definitely one of my favorites
In the first game sam and lambert are very formal and commander/soldier. In this they have developed a casual relationship. Love this detail
I miss the grab and interrogate techniques. They shoulda left it in SCBlacklist.
That was fenomenal, and if you read the Tom Clancy's books it's was present there too. Why their always need to fuck everything! This game was so special for me
They should have kept the conviction interrogation in blacklist aswell, just throwing guys a bit weak, overall I enjoyed every Splinter Cell game
Did anyone catch some dialogues references to Half Life's Gordon (crowbars are for geeks) and shaking a guard to drop some ammo (snake from Metal Gear Solid)...
The soundtracks, dialogue and stealth action made this game iconic
This game also had the best product placement
I remembered playing the first Splinter Cell game and Chaos Theory. My dad got pissed off at me for beating both of the games before he did lol, this is by far my favorite splinter cell game. (And no i didn't play Pandora Tomorrow because i didn't own the game back then.)
I'm not a gamer but I LOVE watching these game movies an you've done an AWESOME job putting them together. I just have one request. Number them. Especially the ones like Splinter Cell. That way people like me can keep up with the continuity. Otherwise, keep up the good work. I'll keep watching and Subscribing.
SGTJDerek Awesome Derek! I actually have created playlist for all the games that have sequels. On my channel I constructed the playlist to play the movies in order...there is on for Splinter Cell created. I hope that helps and thank you so much for subscribing! So happy to hear you enjoy them!
@@Gamematics you foxtrod and gamers little playground are all master game movie directors in my book plus you're the closest theater near me and car's nearly out of gas.
Soldier at 1:31:43: three seconds he's dead. Cause of death: natural causes.
Gamematics, your advice about watching the video in a lower resolution worked, now I can finally finish watching chaos theory and the rest of your splinter cell videos, thanks
minty257 Cool! Yea your internet service provider was probably throttling you while you stream videos.
goddamn, Sam is so much cooler in this game.
Among all of the fire and the explosion at 1:54:11...
"What is going on here?"
This was the best splinter cell game ever to be made.
also one of the best games i've ever played, this and elder scrolls oblivion
One of the few Golden age games to date.
+One Winged Ice Angel one of my favorites!
grim making fun of sam being old is the funniest thing ever
I actually miss the News anchor.
Sam- Have you been briefed? Turtle- Whut Evah... lol @33:31-33:42
Who knew that a game almost 20 years old could predict the future so well
the most bad ass stealth game ever made
one of my favorites!
So I just realized that the TV behind the old man at the DVORAK machine...is showing stills from the trailer for SC: Pandora Tomorrow, complete with the words Splinter Cell and the Tom Clancy logo.
Wow this is amazing how all of this is coming back now
Look at everything that is happening now with
USA,korea and japan and in splinter cell 1
The Russians and the Chinese
Tom Clancy was sending us serious messages in these games
This movie really brings it back to light ⭐️⭐️
Thanks for watching!
I miss this type of game plot, especially in the Splinter Cell games. Information was a theme which I found consistent in the first five games; Conviction shifted away from that, though not completely, to focus on Conspiracy as its primary theme, which helped compliment its Bourne Identity inspired gameplay mechanics and still maintained a deep narrative finished off with a personal touch, the bond between Sam Fisher and Sarah, which further contributed to the uncertainty that settles into the atmosphere of the story. Acquiring information involved hunting the truth.
It did not feel like that in Splinter Cell Blacklist. I did like that there was more to the Engineer's agenda than coercing the United States into bringing troops home. There was also another element of Blacklist I did like that the last games didn't do, a focus on Misinformation as the primary theme, but its execution was poor. However, the idea of an organization outsmarting governments using misinformation to escalate tensions between countries has potential. Were it not for the game's short length, Blacklist's story could have stood out on its own while building upon the elements Conviction's narrative did well.
About damn time someone understands the games and their concept.
This game deserves a remaster
I agree....and bring Spies vs. Mercs back the way it should be
All of the splinter cell games do.
HAHA @ 2:20:01-2:20:06: that Metal Gear Solid 2 reference..
Amazing game , best times 2005 games just sad that games wont be the same anymore in these days
"Shh! I thought I heard something." "You're always hearing things." "But this time I'm pretty sure."
After this, things got GUN HO
29:00 I thought Sam Fisher disguised as a janitor.
Here 7 Years Later ..
Thanks for watching my older content!
@@Gamematics No Problem.
I think after this game they've should ended it or made one more waaaay better than double agent. Its a shame they ruined a gameplay mechanic that they couldve kept expanding on.
I was really bummed out when spies vs. mercs never returned to the way it originally was. The co-op in the newer games are fun, but the original game mechanics in MP on Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory were the best.
Gamematics I'm curious you said this one was the best. what was wrong with Pandora to you that, you liked and didn't like about it??
The movie stops abruptly at 1:07:59 mark, the slider shows that it's the end but the counter below shows that it should be 2:36:23 long. Same for both 1080p and 720p
Yea, I found this out the other day. The HD version did not process on the RUclips side properly. If you watch in standard def for the time being it will work through the rest of the movie. I need to get RUclips to reprocess this video to get the HD working properly. Sorry for the inconvenience.
480 works just fine, thanks. Not a loss, since it's a now-old game anyway. Thank you for putting it up!
my pleasure! thanks for understanding. hopefully RUclips helps fix the HD version.
I loved Sam's rather dark sense of humour in this game.
I could've sworn Hugo Lacerda's voice actor (Luis de Cespedes) was the same as Raul Menendez from COD Black Ops 2 (Kamar de los Reyes), but he actually died in 2013.
This is my all time favourite game, Awesome.
I'm stuck in the control room of the submarine because after I've grabbed the guy sitting in the chair, he just say that he did what I want him to do but nothing happens.
the blimp has the Ubisoft symbol at 41:44
I think the game is one of the best games ever made. I never understood what they were thinking with this scene about Morgenholt, though. It made you have nightmares. It was so cruel over the top, simply terrifying. It happened right at the start and made you feel so disgusted and make you feel so terrible because Fisher couldn't even save him no matter what you do. At least it felt it a bit satisfying killing Lacerda for what they did even though we shouldn't avenge anything the way you do it. And I admit, I always killed those guards for what they did to him.
They didn't put so much effort in the animated cutscenes. It doesn't matter though. They put enough effort in the rest of the game and that's what counts. I rather have a proper designed game like this with some less proper designed cutscenes than the other way around. But the scene in the beginning was still just terrible.
This brings back an era of gaming that I hope we get to experience again soon.

I never played Blacklist. As far as I know, everybody hated it because Michael Ironside didn't give his voice for Fisher anymore and the character is simply not Fisher (how could he when the character was already 56 years old in the game). But it wasn't their fault as we recently heard since Ironside was struggling with cancer. The game, however, looks so much like this awful mess Conviction, so I'd never play it.
Blacklist felt weird because Fisher was vastly different. However....the game itself was fun if you could get past the Fisher issue. I don't think Ironside played the role because of contractual reasons and the direction they were taking the franchise. I believe they are making a real live action movie....and used the actor's framenfor motion capture and they wanted the voice to match.
@@Gamematics
Hmm, makes sense.
I do believe it might be fun playing it, I still wouldn't do it. Not just because of the unnecassary violence ... may be you can just skip it ... but because it's simply no Splinter Cell game anymore. It already felt to me the franchise died with Conviction. It's a game that can't decide whether it wants to be action or stealth. What you get is a hybrid. It's more an action game, but with stealth elements, giving you an unfair adventage over the enemies. May be there are some more of these elements in Blacklist, but not enough for me.
I don't understand in battery level when they find out the missile came from South Korea, Sam says "Are you telling me the US just got drawn into a war protecting the people who sunk the Walsh" He thought it was South Korea at the time who sunk the Walsh he knew the missile came from there so how would that start a war where the US protect them?
TalkTalk Actually a north korean missle that sunk the Walsh, the missle was launched from a cyber attack and was ordered by Secretary of Defense Frank Mason. Mason ordered the attack to try to convince China and North Korea to cease harassing Japanese cargo vessels.
Gamematics I thought as much. I thought I misread it but I think you've misread something. You've just said Mason destroyed the Walsh?
TalkTalk I am sorry I am not following you. You just asked about the sinking of the Walsh right? And I explained it by telling you it was Sec of Defense Frank Mason that was behind the attack....
Gamematics But I thought he was American as there's a cutscene of him talking to 3rd Echelon? The walsh is a American Ship is it not?
TalkTalk Yes. He is american...as I explained he ordered the cyber attack to make it look like North Korea did it....look it up I am sure the Splinter Cell wiki explains it all.
I think you killed and knocked out more people than necessary for the stealth factor. Other than that, great job. This was probably my favorite game on PS2 and I really enjoyed revisiting it.
I thought chaos theory was just an Xbox and DS exclusive?
XD I love 1:08:00
+Will Tiffany ha ha. had to make sure i included that. Some of the best lines came when he was interrogating people. So funny.

Wow not only the game had Ubisofts logo or the title its self even other games like prince of persia wich that came out the same year

I get why you interrogated some of them, but why did you set off the alarms
I've tried so many times to record this game myself but every time i try my game just crashes... what do you use?
I recorded on an xbox 360 that supports backward compatibility. I used a hauppauge capture device at the time.
Gamematics ah 360! I play on pc my shadow play and obs doesn't work just crashes my game really annoying...
Red Wolf Productions Yo same. I just got it to work recently with some patch files, but unfortunately I have to use an image wallpaper overlay in SLOBS, as I can’t readjust the resolution too much.

This is great. I'm enjoying it a ton and its entertaining. But I kind of wish you wouldn't edit parts of the gameplay out. This is the only Chaos Theory playthrough I can find that doesn't do that 100% stealth shit. I mean yeah, I want it to be stealthy, its Splinter Cell and that's how its supposed to be. But I want to see Fisher take people out in the stealth process. I'm glad the player does that in this video. Not trying to bitch or be an asshole or anything, but I'd like to see the full gameplay experience, without snippets of the gameplay being cut out. But its still great, and I'm gonna watch all the way through.
Awesome. I don't think you are being a jerk at all. I appreciate the feedback. I love the Splinter Cell series, hence why I have produced these movies for the entire franchise. However, I don't think people realize if I didn't edit this down, I would have a clip that is 14+ hours long. Not really ideal for a RUclips upload. What you are looking for is more of a Let's Play video...which I could certainly starting bringing, but I would need to do it over so that there was commentary. The purpose of these game movies that I produce is to get the viewer through the series so they can understand the details of the story through the game they are watching....this way if they want to purchase the next game, they can do so understanding the events that happened prior....it also allows people that never got a chance to experience these awesome games, to know what is going on! I definitely appreciate the feedback, but I definitely don't think I will be posting the full gameplay. Just way too long. Sorry :(
Hi there. Not sure if you're still interested, but I did/am doing two separate playthroughs of Chaos Theory, one very quietly and stealthily (as you don't like)... and one with cutscenes and all the features shown off, with lots of lethality involved.
***** I prefer all stealthy. Just not sure that is good for a game movie...but when I play normally, it is all stealthy. :)
Gamematics some people say this doesn't have much of a story like metal gear solid series, it's more of a stealthy less of a story game. what's your opinion on that?
Ironside where are you? Blacklist would have been awesome. Fuck I really want to play it but it's not the same with that fucker voicing it.
the HD video is only 1h 8 minutes not 2h 36m. Can you please fix this?
Pooya Ostadpour I actually just watched the video in 1080p and it has the full video....doesn't seem to be an issue for me.
actually I was talking about the downloadable version in 720. I can't watch it all online. I need to dl it and watch it when I have time. Thanks anyway. :)
Pooya Ostadpour Ah ok, sorry about that. It must be something wrong with RUclips. I am not sure I can fix it, but I will let RUclips know for you.
Gamematics Thanks a lot :)
Is it just me or am I the only one who does not like SecDef? He's always wanting to be aggressive and take action right away.
Sounds like re-militarization of Japan came true...
The darkness.
I don't get how some sc players calim this is the best one in the series and I played all of them as well. You just cannot Beat Conviction and Blacklist are the cream of the crop in so many ways I cannot even list all the reasons its true! They are All good but my 2 Favirot I already mentioned.
the PvP in Chaos Theory was hands down the best.
Gotta feel bad for Morgenholt. 😞😭
I actually felt bad for the guys that were on the USS Walsh, especially Sam's friend.
@@Garcia1995 Oh shit, yes. I commented this around the Morgenholt incident, but the USS Walsh was sad as hell.
Hey man Why did you shoot doug I think sam would point he gun away and is forced to kill doug when doug finally betray sam's forgiveness.
Because i felt it needed to happen the way I had it play out. Either way you get the same cutscene.
Fair enough. I had to play that mission myself just to see the outcome I wanted XD. I've watched all of you sc movies at work. I like how you include some of the gameplay scenes that are important to the narrative. That really differentiate you from any other game movies videos. I love it. Are you working on any other projects at the moment?
If only all the SC games after this could have kept the same controls, engine, gadgets and voice actors. Hell even the graphics are still outstanding. I know they remastered the first 3 on PS3 but I believe they're essentially just PC ports. Imagine the first 3 games rebuilt from the ground up on PS4/XB1. Man...
Shetland was right eventually.
Love this movie

Hey Gamematics I have a problem with my SC Chaos Theory. My game doesn't have any cutscenes and when I go to see the training videos all I see is a dark screen. Nice video BTW.
+Player B thanks! I have no idea man. Sorry.
+Vinnie Sweatshirt Did you pirate it? Because I did. I also downloaded SC Double Agent from the same guy and the cutscenes work fine in that game.
