A Pigeon singing about a Nightingale. Akane on harmony vocals. People tend to forget that Miku was the original lead singer.

No matter what kind of concert Band-Maid puts on, you'll appreciate their writing, execution and special "Maid Sound" that is unique to this incredible group of Women. In fact, Band-Maid's music is so distinctive, I think there should be an entirely new subgenre of rock called, "Maid Rock!" Thx, Hanier fam! btw - For fun, check out the full band hard rock version of Sayonakidori!

Lovely version of the song they reworked for this Christmas 2021 acoustic show. They did songs with all of various configurations of members. The Saiki & Kanami only versions of Different and Manners were also highlights you should view at some time.
If you feel inclined soon, you should react to the live electric original version of Sayonkadori - you won’t believe how different and heavy it is versus this tender, heartfelt version. The original live has Miku singing in a desperate and emotional, almost pleading, vocal style, and the heavy instrumentation is to absolutely die for. The instrumental advances they took with the whole Unseen World album were staggering and Sayonkadori album version is no exception.
Take care and rock on 🤘🏼 🔥🎼🎸🥁😀✌🏼

The song is about lovers who could meet only at night, and
the Nightingale (Sayonakidori) is said to sing at night and mentioned in the Romeo and Juliet; therefore, Miku titled this song as "Sayonakidori"...probably😏
Miku said in interviews that she got an inspiration of the lyrics from the Romeo and Juliet.😉

MISA,MISA,MISA! Miku might be in the front and center of this song, but listening to what MISA is doing! Wow! And then this is probably the first time you seen Akane do back up vocals. She was so nervous for no reason. Of course, she did it perfectly! Akane and Kanami has both angelic voices, but rarely use them.

Well this song is anyway played only with 4 members, it was always Miku's song. Akane is doing the backing vocals here and when I remeber well, in the normal version it is Kanami.
Also Misa is singing a little, so this band has 5 members who can sing.
It is said, that in this version Kanami is standing behind her student Miku beeing very proud of her guitar skills.
Always get goosebumps when she hits that high notes.

Sayonakidori means Nightingale and is about longing for someone and wishing you could be together. It is sung from the viewpoint of someone who is separated from a person they loved, but whose memories live in their heart and suddenly come to life again. I believe it is inspired by Romeo and Juliet

Miku normally sings backup to Saiki except when they rest Saiki during concerts. Akane on the sticks sings backup which is rare. Miku could not play guitar when she founded Band-Maid.

I'm a Japanese, still don't know what Sayonakidori exactly means. Perhaps, it means a bird like a nightingale. The lyrics are totally different from Keats's ode, it's a simple love song.
