I learned so much form this, I have been on phase 3 for about a year now, I spent a very long time on phase 1 and I believe I'm at the gates of phase 4. That's great news and super insightful, it means I can now go and make sure that my systems are set up properly (cause I feel like some aren't) and then work those systems!
So many times people would say "why are you doing that, you're not even earning anything" because they'd only ever experienced a 9-5 job where the money is instant and predictable (but also, is capped). If I'd seen this video 3 years ago my journey would have been so different! As it is, last month I was wondering how on earth to set financial goals as a self-employed creative seeing as the income growth is likely to be a sudden curve, not a steady climb or a consistent amount - both things I'd tried to aim for in the past but obviously failed miserably. This video not only helped clarify my thoughts but is so encouraging and practical. I'd love to hear how others plan on practically implementing this video... for me, I'm plotting out the details of my sales process and creating templates to reuse on new leads.

Starting a custom woodworking and furniture business with a product line of affordable quality built screen doors. I should find out next week if my product will be sold in one of the areas largest and best lumber yards. Next video i need to watch is the one about systems..😁 Thanks for the great advice.

Thank you for making this video. I actually thought I was at the begining phase of business but, by your definition, I'm actually at phase 3! Really encouraging to hear because it's been a struggle!! I use my Pro Dance & Lecturing background along with my Personal Training and Sports Massage Therapy experience to help people with 'difficult' body injuries/issues get moving again. It's Problem-Solving rehab, but that goes all the way to high-level performance, if that's what is desired. That's me, in a nutshell. I don't have a snappy title for what I do, but I'm good at it. I'd imagine it may take more time to earn $1,000 from RUclips, even for channels that later become very successful. Would you measure the viability of the product through something else, say, subscriptions and engagement? Thanks!
I wouldn’t say it’s the same for a RUclips channel, but the difference could be to gain your first 1,000 or so subscribers. That can definitely be quite a long process depending on the niche, but start with that and try to alter the plan provided with how that would work with YT. It’s going to be a much slower process trying to make $100k a year with a YT channel unless you have lots of viral videos.

This is a great video. I needed to watch this. I am starting my business this year. Its Lisa's Herbs and Cosmetics. I want to make my own products and have already started. I only sold about 150.00 last month to friends but its a start.
Here's how. Create a course selling the fantasy of making money and sell it for a few hundred dollars. Sell a few thousand copies and then you have your 100k. Then uncle sam takes half. Good luck 🤞

I started two other things and I gave up because I didn't understand that the result don't come for a while and you have to patient. Even on this channel, my goal was to get 100 subs and I burned out because I was trying to make everything perfect before starting it. Better now. Thanks Gillian. :)
