You're in rare form, boss! 👍👏👏 That was the most effective poncho tarp set up I've ever seen, and glad you enjoyed the Belgian army tent. I spent about 6 months in a slightly smaller version called the Lichfield Viper in the late eighties. Never let in a drop of rain, two poles only front and back, but you really had to get a few decent pegs in....made for a stressful pitch when fixing to rain and the bloody ground was dust over effing rock 😅😅. God bless Craig and all fellow travellers 🤗🤗
Oh my days, just came across your videos. I wish I could get my hubby interested in camping again. I do open water swimming All year round, nothing better than being in the water with the mountains n trees surrounding you. Love swimming in Loch Lomond. I'm purchasing a new tent so I can swim then camp n swim in the morning. Like the quick set up of your tent also it blending into the surrounding trees x 🏊🏊🏊
Started hammock wild camping a few months ago because of your videos and now have an unhealthy addiction to sleeping in the woods 😂 still getting the right kit set up and yet to get a decent knife! If I can jump in the hat for the draw that would be great please. Thanks for the videos and inspiration 🫡 York knife
Well done on the book choice there Craig, it is a great piece of writing. When you’ve read that get yourself George Orwell’s 1984, both books compliment each other.
Nice to see you back in your usual surroundings, been looking at that Belgian Army tent but couldn't decide. Seeing it up and in use it's a yes from me. 🤟🏼
@@EastAnglianBushcraft, I needed it and didn’t realise just how much until I was packing up. Watching your adventures has kept me sane, can not thank you enough. Look forward to seeing your next. All the best 👍💪
Re the lanterns, if you do what i did and leave the fuel in them, the outside around the filler cap all cacks up with a waxy substance that can make opening the filler cap back up a bit of a mare.
Awesome set up ! New bivvy looks lovely too I love a reindeer pelt I have a moose pelt on ma bed and she’s lovely Me dads got a bison 🦬 on and it’s the biggest thing truly massive and so warm haha The jet 🛩 is a sign from the universe you’re in the right place following your bliss I get signs too Keep going man ! I’ll get round to mailing off your wee package soon enough ! Love ya bro Keep being you and shining bright This life is so temporary and there’s blessings allll around us and within us I know you know this :)) How blessed we are to have our health and mobility
Great to see you back in the woods dude. Awesome to hear that youre going to the show, will pop and say hello and join in a bevvy or three. Laters buddy. 🤙🏻🔥
The old fashioned way of cooking your spuds was to whack em in the fire on Bonfire night and then scoff the results whatever time it took with some butter, as kids we didn't bother about the burnt outside lol
Another quality one mate ! Nice BDay surprise for me ! Another old man fan home from another work day at the salt mines ! The woodlands and the joy you share in their enjoyment always bring me peace. But I must suggest when enjoying that nice Belgian set up you must find a proper Trappist Ale Cheers from across the pond !
😂😂 you legend, rusty spoons.....the ye old salad fingers 🤣 watched that back in the day along with devvo, man the memories. Top video boss love that tarp set up always inspiring me 💪🏻🤙🏻
Yup “up the wooden hill” but my dad added “to Bedfordshire” on the end. Cool vid bro loved it. That Belgian army tent looks like an old Vango we used to use as kids in the 80’s
Hi Craig, great to see you in another vid mate, love the camo tent and poncho tarp. Love my paraffin lamps as well and good advice and tips given by you. Love that woodland that you use a lot, Look forward to see what you get up to next. Take care.
Just to let you know you have convinced me to buy the Belgian tent had a job to get it sent to where I live in Guernsey channel Islands but they made a special effort to send it,had a job to set the tent up but got there in the end thanks.
Nice one dude! I've got one of those old time lanterns and tomorrow is now 'recon your lantern fridays' - so looking forward to that already, forgot how nice they are for camp!.. *I missed the community camp thing but next time i'll get on it.. stay safe.. stay amazing.. peace! 👌🏻♥
Don't know if anyone has said already, but the scan lines on the camera when using the headtorch are because of the refresh rate of LED lights, you basically need to set the camera to a divisible number of the hz that LED lights run at. To make it simple, you need you shoot with shutter speeds that are multiples of 50, so 1/50, 1/100, etc and you should get zero scan lines :)
Nature is truth and truth is everything.
A couple of beers & a new Craig video is good medicine. That Belgian army tent setup was sweet! 👊
