    This is amazing! I can't thank you enough for this message! My Husband, myself and a team are pioneering a women empowerment ministry in the redlight and slums in Kolkata, India. I really feel this is a message my whole team needs to carry into what God has called us to do! God bless you.

    Wow this is incredible. I would only argue that there was indeed ONE disciple who was there when Jesus rose again. Her name was MARY.

    Loving this sermon, but I think it's a bit of a stretch to assume Jesus "Hung out" with prostitutes because he grew up around women of bad reputation due to his mothers questionable conception of him. How can he say that with confidence? I think it's more likely that he was here for the sick and not the well.

    Men wept in the Bible all the time. Jacob, David, Jeremiah. it was their way of grieving and they did it publically.

      Hi it's been awhile since I watched this video but if I'm remembering right it was a story about Jesus not really grieving ... it's hard for me to remember. But the point was that grief and weeping are biblical and healthy. We can find story after of men and women who practiced biblical grief

      So here's some things that confuse on this talk because.....Judaism originated in the Middle East over 3500 years ago. Moses was the main founder of Judaism, but Jews can trace their history back as far as Abraham. so, it started way before New Testament times. Plus, Jewish men always wept publicly."Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” He went out and wept bitterly." of course jesus wept too, so just wondering where Chris got the info that Jesus men didn't cry publicly. Plus New testament is filled with references to men publicly weeping.

    The problem with this type of teaching is that Christians are easy to become anti-Semitic, sadly. (Refer to "Christian" nation Germany before WWII.) This is NOT the teaching of orthodox Judaism today about women and I have serious doubts that it was in ancient times too. I would need to see his SOURCES rather than just take his word for it. The New Testament says "the oracles of God were given to Jews" not to gentiles.

      Looks like they were playing background music for Pastor Kris. I have heard Pastors ask for the worship team to come up and start playing at the end of their message as they are moving into a time of ministry.

    I do not believe the Pharisees hated women. I do believe it could look like that to us in our post-women’s-lib culture. Like today, in the time of Jesus, there were/are different sects of Jews with differing viewpoints, not unlike the Church today. The fact that Jesus interacted with women was not the incredible, life-altering, horrifying behavior that Kris seems to be implying. Mary was sitting at Jesus’ feet listening. She was probably not the only one in the room, but I’m guessing there were men present as well, which, under “the law” would not have been acceptable. Think about it!

    So as we already knew, Jewish women were slaves, and it was illegal for them to be educated or learn the Torah... It was also illegal to teach slaves to read and write to in the US until emancipation. That whole thing about "not remembering history or we are doomed to repeat it"... and this is the book some Christian leaders say is "infallible" but the old testament was written by men who kept their wives as slaves.
    The sad, visceral reaction I have to this, isn't about the truth Kris is speaking about our need for liberation as a gender, but about the fact that even he (not intentionally) doesn't get that he is speaking to a downtroden, segregated, disregarded people group. How much more could we "hear" this history and message if he started by saying "What I am going to speak on may be very hard for women to hear because it is about your people's horrific oppression throughout history in our faith. I come at this with humility." Not talking about his book deal, which as a side note was not written with a female co-author to provide a women's point of view. (Can you even imagine if the Male CEO of a Fortune 500 company said "I'm writing a book and it's going to be the way our whole company thinks about women."?) Again, I know he doesn't do it on purpose, but it's so problematic. It would be like me going to speak to a group of my black friends about the history of slavery and talking first about my achievements instead of saying "I am humbled and saddened to present this information today, because it has so wrongly dictated the course of our history and how our country has been built."
    I just wonder sometimes how the world be different if men tried to put themselves in the shoes of their daughters, wives, or mothers before they preached.

    Kris, let me ask you a couple questions? do you think that eve having word foreplay with satan and then eating the fruit and then handing it to Adam to eat, could that sin come all the way down the bloodline to the women of today like Adam's sin did? Did Jesus choose a woman disciple? Did a women preach at Pentecost? Did God ever talk with eve? Did Adam ever have word foreplay with satan? And on your other video you stated that men started all the wars. Could it be because God was in control of all the Armies and that God didn't want a women to be a warrior or a KING who started most of the wars. ( 50 Kings, no women one) (50 prophets, no women one) (50Judges, no women)!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's just GOD"S ORDER!!!!!! What I think is by you and others allowing women to speak from the pulpit is bringing back the spirit of Artemis!!!!! Stop what you are preaching about in GOD'S SANCTUARY!!!!!!!
    Biblically Women should NOT be behind the pulpit as for the second they do they are over MEN in God's Sanctuary!
    p.s. This is NOT against women teaching other women and children, or prophesying, but just not women behind the pulpit in God's sanctuary. We all know Jesus first declared he was the messiah openly to the world to the women at the well and that he waited for the men to leave the tomb to reveal himself to a women and that he sites the woman who broke at alabaster jar, but those are his endearing love for women and I'm talking about God's original ORDER of things! God has order for a reason and the fact that he made women out of Adam's rib which is what protects the heart in a human body is beautiful but she was his HELPMATE and never spoke to GOD or should I say GOD never spoke to her! We are watering down the cross! If Jesus didn't appoint a women DISCIPLE? Do as Jesus did!!!! II Chron. 7:14 he's talking about YOU!!!!!!!!! And me, and his CHURCH ON EARTH!!!!!!!!! DUH!

      There was actually a female judge called Deborah...

    • @immanueljzv6832
      @immanueljzv6832 27 дней назад

      The word HELPMATE was translated from the word EZER meaning protector/ Sustainer. God Literally speaks to EVE when Adam says that the women made him eat the fruit. Also the first people to PREACH the gospel of the resurrection (pretty important event if you ask me) were the WOMEN. There were some women disciples in the bible that jesus had.
      From the beginning, Jewish women disciples, including Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Susanna, had accompanied Jesus during his ministry and supported him out of their private means (Luke 8:1-3). He spoke to women both in public and private.
