I wasn't expecting it to be all "smiley and cutesy". I didn't even say that that's what they should've done. You're talking to me as if I don't know what I'm talking about. I've performed in an open percussion line. Just because a show is "stoic", it doesn't mean that they can't do anything else but keep a blank face the whole time. If that's what they are going for, then so be it. They got it down and I'm sure they are quite dedicated to what they do.
I'm probably gonna get shit for saying this, but I felt no emotion from this. It's a very good show, don't get me wrong. The music is there, but I just can't feel any emotion coming from the performers. I don't see them "performing", I just see them playing. Sorry, I don't mean to offend this school or anyone associated with them. I just think that if they show in their faces that they're performing, it would be much, much better. I say this out of respect.
