In the upper shaft there's a plastic funnel and a cable. Is the cable n plastic attached together or separate. In other Word s the cables spins freely wo the cable.
I’m not 100% sure of the model number since it was in and out of the shop in a day or two but doing research, I’d say it’s one of these models. 51944 51945 51946 51947 51948 51952 51954 51955 51956 51957 51958 51972 51974 51975 51976 51977 51978 51998 51984 51985 51986 51992
Thanks. I wondered what the inside of these looked like. Been using one for years now. It can take a lot of abuse and keep going.
👍👍👍
Well done! 👍
Thank you! 👍

I’m pretty sure it’s separate. The cable should be square at the end and slides into the bell housing.
How could you tell if it is the part attachement cable or the cable that connects to the clutch bell as opposed to the clutch assembly?
With the attachment off are you able to spin the cable?
Great video sir. What is the name or model number of this specific Toro trimmer? Thank you!

How much would this cost at a repair shop
The replacement parts would probably cost $50-$75 and another $75 in labor. Probably not worth it, worth it if you can do it yourself.
