Hello Mort, don’t you think by adding 25AD/AP on Hullcrusher it is just like stronger than an Infinity Force ? There is just the positioning difference but grant 600HP instead of 250HP for Triforce
(MY OPINION) challenger brazilian server player here, this set is the worst set GAMEPLAY wise of tft i ever played. I hate the charms mecanic. I hate the fact there are very confusing lines of synergy as opposed to earlier sets where you can simply play a vertical trait and go around filling out what you are missing with 1 or 2 units. Like it feels you have so many possibilities you dont necessarily have an optimal one , except for few specific comps like varus arcana or kalista that were contested to oblivion. The balancing is all over the place and it feels absurd that sometimes having a 5 cost on your team that is 1 star is absolutely worthless if you dont highroll and 2 star it, i would actually raise the odds of finding 5 costs on 8 or speeding up the process to get to 9. Waiting patiently for the next one.
This was my first set playing tft and I got to say I loved it. I know a big part of that is probably me just getting into tft but hero augments to different rerolls to crazy augment combos that let your 2 cost reroll go first was so much fun.

I feel that, contrary to other devs/games, its crystal clear how much love and dedication you and your team have for TFT as players and not just from a technical/proffesional pow. between idol and locket locket is definitely the prefered pick so nice ambessa silvermeres PauseChamp? prediction? i would suggest unending despair instead of doing more damage base on shields, make it more flexible by adding a shield mechanic every so often (ie, every 6 seconds, add a 3 second shield of a/b/c/d/e hp) (could also do something like 5 or 10% of maxhp, not sure, because idol removed) smth like that, still not ideal on not shielders but more evened out
The reason why it doesn't because of that fact that It doesn't stack on the augment itself, but rather on each units that partake in the takedowns. That's also why it's placement is also very low.

I do have one important detail to bring up for future sets that I'm pretty sure a lot of people would want attention to... why can't augments that meet certain conditions have tooltips that keep stats (rounds remaining, bonus health, bonus ability power, stats for item collector, etc.)? It's really hard to keep track of because they don't have any number you can look at. I feel like this should be the standard for every similar augment because you're trying to wait for accumulation to a certain number for the condition needed, or just to see how much of something you have that is built up for combat, whatever the case may be it's always good to know and is also helpful to newer players getting into TFT. There are few augments that do have stat trackers, such as Pumping Up 1, 2 & 3, and What Doesn't Kill You. Those work just fine. However, I'll give 3 examples from each tier that don't have stats you can look at. Let's say I get Fine Vintage from the silver tier, Big Gains from the gold tier, or Living Forge from the prismatic tier. The conditions are as follows: Fine Vintage - Completed items left on your bench for 4 rounds transform into support items. There should be a number that goes up to 4 on the bench for completed items placed on it that have not yet transformed or something along those lines, so you see exactly how many rounds you need left. Kind of similar to the number from 5-cost Hwei's ability in Set 11 where you duplicate certain cost units on the bench. Big Gains - Every 2 takedowns you gain an additional, permanent 12 HP on top of the 100 you've already gained. Overtime it would be really good to know how much health you've accumulated from the previous rounds to make that an upside to things, right? Living Forge - Gain a random Ornn item now and after every 8 player combats. People are scouting, moving items, staring up units, and strategizing while combats are happening. Then they forget... has it been 8 player combats yet? It'd be nice to know the amount of player combats you have left until the next artifact. Other similar augments: Help is on the Way, Latent Forge, Lunch Money, Phreaky Friday, Silver Ticket, Item Collector, Team Building, Blossoming Lotus, Partial Ascension, Clockwork Accelerator, etc... Hope this helps!
Stupid question but does triple Deathfire grasp not one-shot any unit now? If each does 40% max health dmg, then this x3 means the targeted unit instantly looses 120% HP, if my math is correct...
@AlsandoGames it's been that programmed part of the game that no multiple copies of single item where its effects do percent health damage will kill a singular target. It will just retarget
I really hope next set has 5 costs that have exciting spells. Stuff like Fates Sett, Kayn and Yone and set 6 Tahm etc. Cuz the 5 costs this set minus maybe Morgana and Xerath didn't really feel that exciting.

For some reason, designers decided to make 5 costs more of supports rather than carries and it seems to have been going on since set 10. They are much harder to find even at 9 cuz devs added level 10 which nobody asked for. I mean, they aren't even worth the effort when they are so weak.
Hey Mort, as a long-time TFT player I would just like to say that the last two set mechanics were not fun. Encounters last set, and charms this set. Me and everyone I know had way more fun with champion augments of old, chosens, gadget, you name it. Just some feedback.
really looking forward to the next patch. since the beginning of this set, it really didnt do it for me resulting in me not playing it as much as I would normally play tft. set itself was unique and fun for some so im not discrediting it, it just wasnt it for me. hopefully the next set is also fun and unique!

This is my first set playing tft and its super fun. I've been able to climb emerald just forcing whatever comp i feel like lol. I can't wait for the new stuff coming with the new set.
i think for Chrono, a good change would have been made, make it so that after the first proc of Chrono trait ability, it then goes back on that 14 sec / 10 sec cooldown before the next proc etc etc. Doesn't have to be a one time thing. Balancing by making it slightly weaker since it could proc multiple times in a single round.
Yo Mort, I think the match up rng needs a tweak. They were climbing ranks but I went up against the top two players at least four to six times towards the end. They were both Eldritch too, which countered me pretty hard, and I'm pretty sure they rarely went up against each other. Excited for all the buffs though! I have thoroughly enjoyed my first TFT season, and I'm really looking forward to the next set.
Sometimes I'm confused by the balance decisions, the team is obviously competent and fairly aware of the meta. So they must see that what the forge and living forge will be absurdly strong with the artifact changes, right? These augments are already border line problematic... why put into the game more 'I have guaranteed top 4 at 2.1' conditions? In higher elo brackets where people are executing well, it can make the grind frustrating
post patch update, what the forge sits at 62% top 4 rate in master+, 3.6 average at 3.2 - but I'm sure it'll be higher when people optimize the new artifacts :)
I feel like the Silvermere Dawn mention means that Jhin is going to be in the next set. As he has been in sets before with set attack speed lower than Silvermere Dawn's set attack speed
So many dead units and comps for this set. This is by far the weakest and worst set in terms of number of comps and units that are not viable. The concept of magic was good, but really worst comp and units.

I think plenty of people liked it too. Usually it’s the people who have the strongest opinions who speak up the most, and while I really liked set 12, it wasn’t truly exceptional like set 10 (imo) so you get more of the negativity.
My biggest gripe is the champions they didn't include but should have. Where is Lux? Brand (pyro)? Anivia and Lissandra (frost)? Sylas (anti magic tank)? Beemo and Beekoz for 4 and 5 cost honeymancers? AURORA?? Hello set designers, are you awake???
This is my first season in TFT. I'm gold and I'm happy I'm finally absorbing the huge amount of information this game brings. Watching Mortdog and other streamers here in YT helped a lot (I don't have time to watch live streams) and I just wanted to say how likable this particular man is. Has he been or will he ever be in the game in some form?

It won't proc 3 times on the same target, max hits for same target is two
bear in mind that it's not true dmg but magic dmg. Even with shred, it won't hit that 40% absolute value per grasp.

If Deathfire Grasp is no longer unique, does that mean you can stack three and basically delete one unit at combat start?
No, max is two procs on one unit, 3rd cast will move to a different target if it will kill the first one instantly

I feel like there was a lot of "x didn't work out this set", chrono, incantor, Akali, Trist, Swain etc.

Honestly, Idol + Locket was one of the most fun to play combos even without HP based shield so im really sad its not here anymore

genuinely chrono when the set first started i loved but at no point was it ever playable without the spat for it

This is my first season in TFT. I'm gold and I'm happy I'm finally absorbing the huge amount of information this game brings. Watching Mortdog and other streamers here in YT helped a lot (I don't have time to watch live streams) and I just wanted to say how likable this particular man is. Has he been or will he ever be in the game in some form?
