Was it just me or was Perry awful? I know it's harder to maintain that style of singing at that age than say playing guitar, but he was so disappointing. Was he wasted?
His voice kept cracking and fading. He was constantly drinking from a cup and eating something from a pot on Perkins' riser. He said himself in this song that his throat was dry and he was going to keep going and give it a try. He used his effects a lot to try to sustain the notes. He did bring a bottle of red on stage with him, but he drank very little of it. I was standing at the rail, in front of Eric. 👍

He sounded fine to me, but remember he was drinking a bottle of wine that he brought out with him at the beginning of the show, so who knows.
