This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. I listened to it over and over after I found the courage to leave an abusive relationship. It gave me so much comfort and strength. That was over 5 years ago, and like the song says, "Everything's going to be all right" and it has been.
There's something about this song that offers hope. I only think of fond memories when I hear this song. It's like the glimmer at the end of the dark tunnel. I hope God grants you the grace to see in your mind the fondest of memories and remember our loved ones for who they were and the happiness in the best of times. God bless.
Lifehouse does not call themselves a Christian band but at least 2 of them are Christians and in the past have played worship music at a church. Same here. My goal is to be able to look at a significant other, and feel like I met my someone like his that he is singing about. That will be my one. But truly, this song hit home for me way back when I was in my very very dark place... Edit: when I would first listen to this song, I immediately thought of a significant other... but I guess it could have a spiritual backing to it... For me though, I will always relate it to how I will find my The One.

This one song I can’t listen to without tearing up because it basically speaks to the state of things in my life right now. It’s one of the only few tunes that speaks to inner turmoil and emotional stress one goes through daily. I find myself listening to this frequently at least once a week during the pandemic & after a session speaking to someone to vent what is going on. For years I’ve been struggling with anxiety & stress secretly that it’s been a secret I’ve kept from those around me for a long time. It’s hard to put on a facade of normalcy being brought up in a Filipino culture that forces their children to be self reliant and deal with their mental health issues without professional help. It’s because most parents believe issues of mental health are irrelevant & it would embarrassed them to admit they have a child dealing with it. Sometimes faith alone and prayer isn’t enough to help cope with it. For me music has been my religion and my way to cope with my inner struggles. I’m grateful for it despite what the world throws at you. Just one message alone in the lyrics is enough for me to get by surviving days by day. That is why I’m grateful for bands like Lifehouse to give us music that speaks to everyday life and how to survive it.

Three year's ago today, i ended up taking the final photo of my dad alive. I had no way of knowing, while my parent's were celebrating their 60th anniversary, it would be the last. In three months, it will three years since my dad died in front of me and nothing could prepare me for what i would go through since. Has been a huge challenge in my recovery but with God's help, i am still clean and sober. This is a beautiful song and describes what i have been through over the past two plus years and even now; the storm of my life. Still praying for the sun to shine and the rainbow to show up again soon.

My dad is about to die of cancer... This song is the only thing that helps me cry my heart out and feel some tiny confort
