I went into this without watching any trailer or reviews, but after 40-45 minutes in, I paused it to come watch your review and you just confirmed my fears. So thanks for saving me from the rest of the film.
Rob Zombie needs to stop trying so hard to impress us with a movie and take his time and do it and come up with something new and creeks in the right way
After the devil's rejects rob zombie went down hill fast and its sad because i am a huge fan of his and the fact he cant get a big theatrical release anymore is sad as well what happened to him
I appreciate your review. I have not taken the time to watch this movie yet but I have always been a big fan of the family and for that reason alone I still will go into watching this film (hopefully this weekend) with a high heart. But thank you for the intro to your review because i honestly feel similar to how you do about Rob's film. I am still excited to give this movie a watch.
Finally got a chance to watch this last night. I’m actually glad my expectations were set so low from the less than glowing reviews 3 From Hell received. I went in expecting it to completely suck, and while I agree with much of what you said (Sheri Moon Zombie was incredibly annoying) I found myself enjoying the film for the most part. Although I would definitely rate it far below The Devil’s Rejects and even House of 1000 Corpses.
@Paul Greening but the thing is mainly up to the ending the movie is not at all good this is not the devil's rejects and sure isn't a house of a thousand corps....
I watched 3 from hell yesterday and it was okay. We didn't need a third film in this series, the devil's rejects ending was perfect. 3 from hell had too many ex machina's in it.
It was mostly just seeing baby in prison and the only action was when they were holding the people hostage in the house and then at the end. This one wasn’t really all that great in my opinion
I went and saw this movie tonight and came away with the same feeling that it felt much cheaper than the previous two movies. Not to nitpick the movie to death but right in the beginning with Captain Spaulding I noticed how perfect his teeth were and that they didn’t in anyway match the two previous films. It might seem like a small thing but immediately I thought they aren’t even trying. Also I felt there were too many similarities to the Devils rejects. So much so that there were scenes that felt like they were directly from the Devils rejects. It’s awesome that you had a full theater to see this in tonight. Here in Minnesota our theater had maybe 20 people in it. And sort of like what you said when the movie was over people just kind a got up and left and there wasn’t a lot of excitement being talked about from what we all just saw.On a final note I agree that I wish they had done this year’s ago because it was just sad watching Sid Haug on screen being as thin and frail as he is right now even his voice seemed thin and very non-menacing. I don’t know if Rob zombie just needs to go away for a while and come back in five or 10 years or if he truly has just come to the end of his movie making career. In the end I am glad I got to see it on the big screen but I don’t know how often compared to the first two movies I will revisit this one.
Don Parrish going into this movie I had really high expectations because the devils rejects is one of my favorite films of all time. I wouldn’t say I was disappointed, but I expected it to be a true conclusion to the firefly saga and have an overall more impactful story. If you want to watch baby and Otis doing their thing for 2 hours, you’ll like this movie. It was nice to see the characters again and they both really killed it in this one. But it’s nothing more than that. The acting is 10/10, but the writing fell really short unfortunately
Benzimaru I felt the same I thought this was gone to be the end for them, not to mention I dont know how they lived all those FUCKING shots in "DEVILS REJECTS" but they say this is the end I believe so I guess bad guys just get away like in "NATURAL BORN KILLERS", Anyways hate to say it I wanted a blood bath and see the fuckers die!!! just to end it u know finally the right way.
Good point about Rob waiting to long to film the sequel, The Devils rejects came out in 2005 and 3 from hell should of been made and came out in 2010 at the very latest ... RIP Sid Haig to me he is the main and most popular character in the Devils rejects saga ....
The promo for this film was huge man. Trailer was played before every Zombie concert for over a year, posters were everywere, radio spots were everywere, t.v spots ran alot, interviews were constant.
I watched this last night and I was so disappointed as a big fan of Rob zombie . This whole movie just felt like no one that was making it wanted to be there. . Also it's lovely to hear someone appreciated Halloween 2 as much as I do .😍😍an your cute man
The movie disappointed me... I’m a huge fan of Rob Zombies work; but this was very disappointing. They gave Baby way tooo much screen time. (She can’t carry a movie, and too much on either character sorta shows their flaws in the acting department; besides the refined actors in the film). It was great to see Capt. tho..
I didn't agree with a couple of your opinions, but I absolutely subbed. You know your shit and I'm definitely going to be watching your past uploads. The whole beauty of movies and even music, is that not everything is for everybody. I've loved films that most people did not, and vice versa. But anyway, thanks and I'll be watching!
What do you think really happened to zombie as a film maker? Did he become to successful to soon. Did he need more time as a indie horror maker as opposed to immediately taking on the Halloween franchise? Or is that we only have so many stories to tell before the well just dries up?
Yeah, i think thats a great fun film aswell Craig, it never gets the attention it deserves. & Jason you should deffo watch it sometime when your just in the mood for dumb fun.
I love Rob Zombies movies, but i had a bad feeling when i saw the trailer to this movie. I loved the first two installments, but this one felt a lot cheaper, so i wasnt surprised to hear that you thought it was cheap. Great review! I am still going into this one with hope, but i will have my hesitations.
Is it better than 31? I'm getting a little nervous about all these bad reviews so far, I'm a big Rob Zombie fan and I am hoping I don't get disappointed when I buy it next month.
Great review brotha I look forward to checking this one out. Also candy corn just dropped today I look forward to your review on that one I’m gunna watch it today myself
I feel if they would have done the intro and had Spaulding get the death sentence and cut to Mexico it could have been better but he was stuck doing it on absolutely nothing
I agree. This was a hodgepodge mess. I truly believe Rob had another plan for this movie before sid haig got beyond I'll. With the chaos of filming I think it turned out ok. Definitely agree. Not a 10 not a 1. Music usage was not like rejects and it felt like rob trying to give the firefly greatest hits and the end should had been grander. I agree
We all know that 31 is not a great film...but just the fact that Richard Brake is in it and he gave a stellar performance as Doom-head, that my friend, is worth watching it. Zombie's next project should be a Doom-head movie.
I thank you for the Intel...I'll go see it here in Tx when It shows again & I'll be prepared hearing what u had to say here...Thanks for giving out your opinion...
I can’t argue with this. Devils Rejects was the best horror movie I’d seen in decades. We went to 3 from hell opening night, n while it was really good, it didn’t outdo Devils rejects. Otis Driftwood will always be my favorite villain though.
I liked 31 & I had low expectations for it. I couldn’t finish Lords of Salem & I thought Halloween 2 was gawd awful, loved his remake of Halloween though
I never understood how RZ just wrote off the whole Dr. Satan supernatural angle in rejects and turned it into a strictly serial killer angle although still a good film.
Devils Rejects is a cult classic due to taking out the whole supernatural angle, tho. House of a Thousand Corpses was excellent, until the whole Dr Satan part in the catacombs.. they need a whole separate movie for that alone, maybe some prequels or a series.
kung Few I agree House was Awsome and Rejects was just as good IMO. But 100% agree i didn't understand why they took the Dr Satan angle out. I mean when the movie got to the underground scene you see Dr Satan with the huge that I asume creation dude and all the others down there! Possible have them go back there somthing, but nothing it was like it never happened. Anyway I have to see the movie for myself,it has to be complete garbage for me to say the movie was bad. I guess I'm just being hopefull,I just can't picture myself not liking the movie. Will see lol
Have to say lords of salem is my favorite zombie movie. Loved the paranormal satanic side of his vision, very dark but not over laced with spooky bullshit. I am excited for 3 from hell but like you said I have low expectations. Thanks for the review.
I love Lords of Salem and I enjoyed 3 From Hell. I think he could have done more with it, or he could have taken the lefthand path, so to speak, but I really like it for what it was.
I love Zombie’s take on H2 as well! Me and a gf went and saw it and both loved it. With 3 from Hell I believe I’m gunna wait and get it OCT 15th on blue ray. Thx for the honest review man 😎
Netan1 just look through this thread. I knew sharing that opinion would be met with some interesting comments... haha. People really hate that film. It’s hilarious. I 100% know if it wasn’t a Halloween film they’d love it. They can’t detach themselves from the franchise. Oh well. I’m never not going to be me and I love the shit that comes with sharing it 😈
Three From Hell was pretty much the same storyline from Devil's Rejects just nowhere near as good. First Rob Zombie rips off Texas Chainsaw, now he rips off his own movie. I'm convinced Rob Zombie just got lucky with The Devil's Rejects. All his other movies aren't worth your time or money. Sheri Moon was AMAZING but she can't make up for the bad storyline.
I actually enjoy 31 a bit but 3 From Hell was a huge letdown. I thought the black Satan cartel would massacre everyone and the film would end with all dead but that did not happen and RZ made his beloved killers into immortal superheroes. The only time I laughed was the hey granny scene. I was very disappointed he decided to resurrect them because TDR was a flawless masterpiece. I also loved H2 a LOT but this was not very good.
I liked this a little better than you did. But I like you in how you have your critique and I've never heard of you so you got my sub. Oh... Thanks for confirming the slow motion scenes were too much.
What no Captain Spaulding, wow, now I’m disappointed! You are right, this should have happened years ago, too late now. RIP Sid Captain Spaulding! Will miss you forever.
There was no "dialogue." There were no quotable lines from the Rejects in this film. Still loved it, because I love the characters, but it was a forgettable final chapter. SPOILER - Glad they all lived (except Spaulding). Would love to see more, but even Zombie said this was the last one.
David Miramontes this has been a rough thread haha. I expected it though. Zombie fans will bash any negativity against him and I love H2 so that was the second strike. Oh well. Can’t please them all. Glad you got something out of it.
didnt get to see the show in the theater and my worries coming into this show were the exact same you stated still plan on watching this but glad i saw this review
This is EXACTLY why I want to watch it. Reviews give me some piece of what's in it, only watching it will tell me the complete truth. SO many movies I've loved that had mediocre reviews.
Honestly, this movie just kind of.... WAS. I felt like I was waiting for it to be exciting but even during the action sequences everything just felt kind of thrown together. Then it ended and I was like "Uh... ok."
I had no expectations here but I really did enjoy this, despite sid haigs absence Zombie really did pull this off as much as one can when replacing one out of a legendary trio
House of 1000 Corpses was by far the best thing. I respect Devils' Rejects for doing something different though. 3 From Hell was only really worth it to see Otis chill out for the first time.
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 damn. I guess its not showing out here in hawaii 😔. Ill try checkin the small theaters, but the big popular theaters arent showing here. Bummer.
Man!? You like Lord's of Salem more than 31!? Don't get that, but still love and appreciate ur reviews. I haven't had the chance to watch ur reviews on house and Devils but would be interested to see a review on 31 and what u didn't like.
I saw this with an audience that had a lot of fun with the movie. Some of us clapped at the end. I did like it - but I wish they would've made it earlier so Sid Haig could've possibly participated more.
Just bought 3 from hell before i watched this. Havent watched it yet, watched this review, now wishing i didnt spwnd my money on it lol. I already had a feeling it wouldnt be that great tho, still knew i wanted to see it either way. Definitely cant top ending to rejects. During house I was disgusted bt the characters but completely interested. By the end of rejects i felt sympathy for them. Going to watch the movie sometime very soon, hoping ill find the redeemable quality lol.
It wasn't as bad as Three from Hell. At least Doom Head had an amazing performance and we see him again in this pathetic sequel instead of Captain Spaulding for some reason.
Thanks for the comment I was gone watch it but once I finally scrolled down to see if anyone thought this was garbage yea so their u have it not going to watch it especially if u saying this is trash
I Agree with even thou i have not seen this yet but have seen the trailer should of happend a long time ago or been left alone same exact feeling i have with the new El Camino movie of the continuation of breaking bad
Shit. I was really hoping for a good review. You and I tend to have the same opinion on movies, save for the new Child’s Play and Halloween 6. I’ll say, about Lords of Salem, if you haven’t read the novel, definitely do that. It makes for the full experience and makes the movie ten times better. If you have, though, I’m sorry lol
It took me a long time before i liked H1 and H2. Once i seen Danielle was in it, i was sold. I love 1000 and Devils. Lords was good. Never seen 31. Can't wait to see 3. I loom forward to it.
Still can't wait to see it but I feel ya, the way Devils Rejects ended should have been it. Not expecting it to be great even after watching this review. I was really hoping for a back story or origin story.
I’m not allowed to have an opinion on film unless I’ve made one? Apply that to everything you have an opinion on. If you haven’t made one yourself you can’t have an opinion on it. Good luck with that.
Mad, yourself and I are normally totally in agreement, but never got H2 ..now I need to rewatch it to see if it's better second time around 😆 still looking forward to seeing this although not in Ireland as far as I know so I'll have to wait for blueray, devils rejects in an absolute classic ,killer soundtrack!
For me it’s peoples attachment the Halloween franchise. They just can’t disconnect the 2. If it was an original zombie slasher (which it is and that’s what people hate cause it’s a Halloween film) and exactly the same film people would blow it. It’s dark and brutal as fuck. The performances from Scout and Danielle are awesome, especially in that bathroom death scene. I view it as a zombie movie, not a Halloween film. I love how risky it is. I love that he says fuck the traditionalists. I’ll make Michael talk and Loomis a dick cause this is my film. If you want to watch the original Halloween go watch it. I respect his bold vision and think it’s a fantastic Slasher film. And I’m not alone. I have tons of friends who love it too. It’s like our own little losers club haha
I agree. We didn't need this sequel, ending to The devil's rejects was epic.
It shouldve stayed that way, that ending was perfect, this third one was a little goofy to me,
House of 1000 Corpses was one of mine and my best friends favorite movie before he passed, I hope him and sid are eating chicken together now.
Hopefully
that movie sucked some serious balls.

31 was actually really good, but i guess everyone has their own take on it
I didn't like it much on first viewing but I gave it another chance and now I love it and watched it several times. Doom-head is awesome
Tutti fucking frutti
Rob Zombie needs to stop trying so hard to impress us with a movie and take his time and do it and come up with something new and creeks in the right way

I think he's a competent director. I think if someone helped to co-write and smooth out his ideas, it'd be a lot better.
After the devil's rejects rob zombie went down hill fast and its sad because i am a huge fan of his and the fact he cant get a big theatrical release anymore is sad as well what happened to him

She would've made a good Harley, but you know Hollywood.. they want the younger actor.
What no Captain Spaulding, wow, now I’m disappointed! You are right, this should have happened years ago, too late now. RIP Sid Captain Spaulding! Will miss you forever.
😰
There was no "dialogue." There were no quotable lines from the Rejects in this film. Still loved it, because I love the characters, but it was a forgettable final chapter. SPOILER - Glad they all lived (except Spaulding). Would love to see more, but even Zombie said this was the last one.
Amen! he needed to pull the trigger on a 3rd film yeeears Ago ! I still have to see it though! Great review brother! SUB +1
I agree with you on the last two films, but I'll still respect them, peace to the Captain!
Real respect glad for your honest opinions
David Miramontes this has been a rough thread haha. I expected it though. Zombie fans will bash any negativity against him and I love H2 so that was the second strike. Oh well. Can’t please them all. Glad you got something out of it.
This is sad but not shocking. Not many sequels are very good when they come out 10+ years after the last one. I'll check it out on bluray.
didnt get to see the show in the theater and my worries coming into this show were the exact same you stated still plan on watching this but glad i saw this review
Excellent review.
Where can i see this bro?! Ive been looking everywhere.
The theater... like I said in the intro
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 damn. I guess its not showing out here in hawaii 😔. Ill try checkin the small theaters, but the big popular theaters arent showing here. Bummer.
Bummer
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 would you put this movie on the same level as 31 or slightly above?
Peter Benavente above
How sad I was really hoping for this to be good. I’ll still watch it though
I liked it. You should watch it before seeing reviews
I saw this when it was released and as a fan of the previous movies I enjoyed this one
Man!? You like Lord's of Salem more than 31!? Don't get that, but still love and appreciate ur reviews. I haven't had the chance to watch ur reviews on house and Devils but would be interested to see a review on 31 and what u didn't like.
Charlie Dead I didn’t like anything. Review over haha
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 Lol! Well said Sir. If we ever meet in person. Debate on! 😉
Always ready for that 😉
I saw this with an audience that had a lot of fun with the movie. Some of us clapped at the end. I did like it - but I wish they would've made it earlier so Sid Haig could've possibly participated more.
Totally on board with your view of his films. Give Lords another shot.
I will one day
I didn’t mind lords of Salem, I thought it was his last decent movie.
Maybe you’ll end up liking it more than me. I didn’t hate it but I definitely did not love it
Ok so I know this is totally off the subject, but can you suggest some of the best found footage horror films?
Lisa Del Rio

Saw one recently called The Conspiracy that was pretty entertaining. I believe it’s on amazon prime
@@yungverde9500 thanks! I'll check it out☺
31 might be the worst movie ever made. RIP Sid
It wasn't as bad as Three from Hell. At least Doom Head had an amazing performance and we see him again in this pathetic sequel instead of Captain Spaulding for some reason.
Way better than lord of salem
@@loki7180 lol ok I'll give you that
T R U T H The reason is that Sid Haig was in poor health and this short cameo was all he was able to film.
I watched 3 from hell and let me tell u it was trash!! Straight up!
Thanks for the comment I was gone watch it but once I finally scrolled down to see if anyone thought this was garbage yea so their u have it not going to watch it especially if u saying this is trash
uncharted7again black king it’s really not good man! I re watched to show my wife she said it looked like a B-movie
They kind of ruined Devils Rejects. That was the perfect ending
This movie is definitely the godfather 3 of the trilogy. The first 2 were perfect...this one was unnecessary.
Im not shocked, i honestly thought your review would be like this. I totally had my reservations too. Even more so after this review haha.
I Agree with even thou i have not seen this yet but have seen the trailer should of happend a long time ago or been left alone same exact feeling i have with the new El Camino movie of the continuation of breaking bad
There's an awesome house at Halloween horror nights here in Orlando this year you should check out
In my opinion Lords of Salem was his best film by far. But I agree about 31. I might check it out again someday but I remember being very disappointed
A buddy of mine loved it. I know a few people who are big on it. I am going to try it again one day. See if I can get it
I hope you find more enjoyment in it than I did 😀
Don’t waste ur time watching it. 3 from hell was really bad
Still can't wait to see it but I feel ya, the way Devils Rejects ended should have been it. Not expecting it to be great even after watching this review. I was really hoping for a back story or origin story.
I liked the movie it was cool to me but I do feel devils rejects was better I was just expecting more of Captain Spaulding.
Why do all millennials have to say "I FEEL" this or "I FEEL" that. It's always about FEELINGS.
@@Danimal77 Why do all the boomers gotta yammer about pointless shit?
I really loved 31 but i normally share your opinions on most films lol I'm hoping I disagree with you on 3 from Hell lol.
Garry Williams me too. Good luck
thanks :)
What movies have you made?
I’m not allowed to have an opinion on film unless I’ve made one? Apply that to everything you have an opinion on. If you haven’t made one yourself you can’t have an opinion on it. Good luck with that.
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 Was just asking… apparently none.
