WoW, brilliant with simplicity and scarce material. The paraloop stroke back and then tied on top is simply genius. I like this fly really much.
Glad you like it!
Very nice!!! Tight lines🐛🐞🪲!!!!!
Thank you.
This is the first time I've ever seen anything tied like that! Fantastic job!
Thanks Mike, you should check out my video on the paraloop hackle.
My first time to ever see anyone tie like that ! Thank you again sir!
Thanks Terry, lots more technique videos here as well. Its easy when you learn how!
@@Thefeatherbender Is there any chance I can buy your book with your autograph sir?
Great tying Barry , I will start tying these.🎣🎣🎣
Very nice!...great floater and sighter for a lightweight dry/dropper duo setup....thanks for sharing
Thanks TJ, yes it floats very well!
Exquisite. Profile of a tiny hedgehog. I’m going to use this pattern, if you don’t mind, in my tying classes.
Love this. Nice gnat variation and nice tying. Thanks.
Takker Bjørn.
Cool variation! Thanks for sharing and making the video!
Thanks Freddy, glad you like it.
Brilliant once again 👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks Steve.
Very Nice Barry!! Might be an idea to leave the thread tag to be used to rib the peacock herl for durability. Think this would serve well to imitate the small cassis flies I see in the fast riffles. I'll tie up a couple with bright green or chartreuse thread and form a small (1 - 2 mm long) thread butt to represent the body on those caddis. Thanks for sharing! ATB. Hank
Hi Hank, thanks, yeah I do mention in the video that if you prefer a rib by all means do it, nice idea with the bright green thread, i'll give that a go!
Exelent Tying Video My Friend...
Looks promising!

Thanks for Sharing...!
Fantastic!!!

Thanks Simon.
Amazing!
Very nice variation in the tying of the griffiths. Thanks for sharing, All the best, Sean
Thanks Sean, you have been away for a while.
@@Thefeatherbender Not away just not commenting as much. I really enjoy your video's and your wonderful ideas for new flies. All the best, Sean
@@seanmooney3907 Good to hear Sean.
Cracking little pattern indeed! I live in a warm area but this pattern gets monster blue gills and white bass just arguing over who gets it first, thanks for another gem.
Thanks Owen, I hope it works out for you.
Great fly. Thnx Barry
Thanks Paulus
vert cool variation of "the gnat".. i like it .. gonna try a few of those.. i like your notes above .. i bet it bobs like a cork!
Thanks Jeff
Class!
Chris Skillen makes a fully rotary vice that incorporates a gallows tool that rotates with the jaws - a real beautiful piece of engineering;)
Interesting, I'll have to have a look at that.
Smashing pattern bud
Thanks Junior.
Genuine Maestro 👌
Thank you.
Excellent
great!!
Thank you.
Hey Barry,
I love the way you did that but I am not clear on how how you held up the poly yarn. Never seen that done and do not know that tool you used. Could you send me a link and or explain it to me. Enjoy your book and your channel. Jim Holland👍
Hi Jim, thanks. Its a Gallows tool. I use the Petitjean one, but there are many designed on the market. www.google.com/search?q=gallows+tool&client=safari&rls=en&sxsrf=ALeKk03raTm2qolfaVc-gMyuNkeSroNWkA:1629124577831&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjc7YX-4bXyAhViRPEDHdFaA5IQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=1516&bih=1299
❤
What are you using to hold the Poly up? I enjoy making the Griffiths and I think the Paraloop would be an awesome addition to my arsenal.
Hi AJ, I am using a gallows tool, it hangs over the vice jaws with a clip that you can attach materials in to give you a free hand.
@@Thefeatherbender thanks for the information. I'll need to find one for my set up.
It was very helpful.
I will make for the next fishing line.(^^)
can you please show how you are holding/fastening yarn for the loop please.i need to do it this way,i have tried with a loop and finger ,i can't do it that way, thank's.is there a special tool or jig to hold the yarn,if so what is it called.can i see a picture of this setup.
Hi Chuck, if you can manage the loop in your finger trick, you will need a gallows tool. This hangs over your vice jaws, like a hangman's gallows, and holds the poly yarn in place while you tie.
thank's i will try one.@@Thefeatherbender
Similar to tying a Front End Loader fly pattern. Same concept
Don't know the front loader!!
Hi Barry nice fly, what size was the hackle you used I know the hook was a size14 also what was the thread also color thanks Mark
Hi Mark, thanks. The thread colour is red, I like the red head on this pattern and the hackle corresponds to the hook size.
thanks for the reply and info
Спасибо! Удивили!
🔥👍
Супер 👍
Хитро и здорово.
YOu should call that a Hedgehog Griffiths
I'll remember that John.
@@Thefeatherbender Sorry for the redundancy in my comment, I did not read previous ones prior to making it. I do want to say that your technique on this fly is unique and intriguing. Your videos are excellent, I have been tying for 35 years and I still love to watch a skilled artisan at the vise. Thank you.
@@johnvanderwalker4830 Thank you so much John, much appreciated.
Fantastic!!!
Thanks J.
