FINALLY, someone is talking about this criminal 2025 schedule! Thank you! I understand you play who you play based on your divisional matchups and 1st place finish, but I thought there was some sort of balancing done to try to even out the difficulty by determining who is home. How is it remotely possible that a team is scheduled to play 5 divisional winners, and FOUR are on the road?!? Including the 3 highest seeded teams in KC, Philly, and Baltimore! Why does Detroit play the 1st and 2nd place NFC East teams on the road, and the 3rd & 4th place teams at home? I understand that the opponents are based on the Lions’ record, but the home and away balance is heavily weighted against Detroit for some mysterious reason.
Brian Branch probably was really close and gibbs would have given henry a push if hed have carried the team himself all year. I think Jameson Williams should be come back player of the year. Based not just on his numbers but how hes became an amazing part of the team that finally gets it and has bought in.
Damn those road games are going to be extremely difficult. We can probably forget a 3rd nfc north victory. Hopefully we just avoid the injury bug next year and get a couple quality pieces in the draft and some quality depth in free agency. Like dan says we're made for this shit so lets go.
"We can probably forget a 3rd nfc north victory." I think you can pencil it in. • The Lions are built in the draft, not Free Agency and have plenty of capspace to retain their own and fill in holes (Reader has been an absolute God send). The roster is basically locked up for a few years at least. Holmes knows how to do it. • They get everyone back next year. • If the Lions lose staff, they have replacements already being marinated and cooking. That was foreseen. Next man up. • Chicago will have a new coach and system (plus they're the Bears). Minnesota gets to deal with a overpaid Darnold or a rookie QB that's rawer then a Ramsey steak plus losing their own staff probably. Green Bay actually concerns me a bit, but Kerby owns Lambeau. • Cupcake home schedule. I have the Lions at 13-4 next year as of right now.
Barring injury the Lions have the talent and should be able to win many of those road games. I doubt they will go 8-0 on the road but the Lions are stocked and they will get better next year. Finally, I am not looking at next year, this year is so much fun I want to enjoy it while it is happening.
With a tough schedule and top notch teams, I’m expecting a bunch of prime time games / game of week… lots of exposure is a good thing (and I don’t have to go to my local bar to watch the game!)
another way to look at it is,,, a real tough schedule and lions kick the err stuffing out of them and have a win loss like this year should put the lions on easy street to another super bowl.
With the NEW schedule , the NFL wants the Lions to die out as a small market team . Why did Kansas City , two time Super Bowl team , get a much easier schedule ???
The schedule is preset based on where you finish in the previous year. So since we had the best record in the NFC, the schedule is no matter what team would win first place in the NFC North you would get the exact same schedule.
This is the price of success. But Holmes and MCDC have done a good job getting the core built and locked up while having cap to blow and they already have answers in-house to replace Johnson and Glenn if they go. The Lions will probably slump a bit, but a 10-7 versus the usual Quinntricia fair? Yeah, I'm dancing in the streets.
Kerby saved that Akers TD last game. That might have been the biggest play of the game.
Listening to the show, while I shovel ❄️! Never thought I'd smile and feel warm inside doing this yearly task...Thank You Lions!
you know Dan Campbell will welcome that schedule. Are we tough? Hell yeah we are tough!
Exactly! More fuel is all it is!
I predicted this years win lose record at 15-2 but I didn’t actually think it was going to happen. Well guess I won’t doubt myself again !!!!!
I had predicted 13 and 4.., I'm so glad I was wrong

I agree and it should be called out!
Dude, what was our record on the road this year? Lions aren’t going to whine about it, so why should we?
The only way to stay on top is to beat the best teams.
It sucks !
Schedules are only hard when you not good we are the hard time on other people schedules
Amon-Ra is already a hall of famer and he was a 4th round pick. Never happens

Branch and Gibbs missed 2nd team by 1 spot

Lions are better on the road. Bring it on!

@@Alex-wo7dp only reason we even had 2 losses is injuries if no injuries I’ll take us over anyone and I believe that

They're road warriors. They will find a way to 12 wins

why do we play the Rams every single year?
And the Bucs?

Because they are NFL pet smh

If we lose AG and BJ I expect a but of a slump next year, but that schedule will ensure it.

Ragnow should have had 1st team. Gibbs should also be on one of them.
Easy road games
