Got to say i had no idea the reaction to this tragedy...here in Canada at NHL games they are remembering Kobe with a moment f silence...they are creating makeshift memorials outside of rinks...it is huge...

I was 14 when I first saw kobe play on TV at the McDonald's high school game. I was a laker fan and when he got traded to us I was elated. I told every person I knew that we had hit a home run and this guy was going to be the next jordan. Living in LA my family watched every laker game since the days of sedalle threatt and Elden Campbell. We all loved kobes game and my parents although from india identified with him somehow. They understood the hard work he had put in simply by watching him play. At the draft he became my favorite player and that never changed. When he died, my family and I felt like we literally lost a family member. Thinking about Gigi I feel like a lost a niece. I would write more but I'm just rambling...bottom line...I know where you're coming from.

@@rosharma7443 Yup same here, I was 13 when I first knew about Kobe and he was a huge part of my adolescence as well and yes he literally felt like an older brother to me and he gave me the biggest NBA memories and yes I could never talk about Basketball without mentioning his name because he was ingrained into the sport, so yes I can literally relate to u as well and I do believe that every Sports Fans out there felt exactly the same way, it’s literally like we all lost a Family member and I mean Literally!! 😭 We all feel that exact same pain!

The games should NEVER have been played on Sunday. It's presumptuous, to assume that Kobe would have wanted the games played; and, even if he would have; it would not be a disservice to him, to override that notion. The mental hygiene of the players counts also. The comish, simply fk'd up.

It was a tough call. The first game was scheduled shortly after the news of the crash broke. And the Lakers-Clippers game scheduled for Tuesday was postponed.

The biggest mistake was being in the fog. Should never have flown. LA police grounded all there helicopters long before the crash
