Thanks so much for writing the lyrics here. I always focus on the music and the voices when I listen to music. Rarely do I listen to the lyrics. I don't know why. I rarely know the titles of songs. When Caleb mentioned the lyrics I wanted to know them and they are very beautiful. So thank you!
This song is a gem. It sounds... Eternal. There's no better word for it how his voice sounds here. Such a beautiful melody, amazing lytics. It has just one major flaw - it is way to short.

this is one of my all time favorites of Dimash. I believe it was the first full operic song I ever heard him sing. I believe as you do in the meaning of this song, in that, once we die, our spirit or soul, as some call it, replenishes the earth. I am also going to the NY concert, on the 9th. This is a dream come true as I was never certain I would ever see him live. If i am able to capture some decent video, I will definitely share it with you!

The Meaning of Eternity - Dimash's recording of The Meaning of Eternity is actually one of 15 songs in a musical play entitled "My Little Buddy". 🎈A handcrafted model of the palace of Qin Shi Huang, movie standard light and sound effects on a rotating stage, a robot developed specifically for the stage… “My Little Buddy” is set in a highly technologically developed future time, where a little boy lacks care and love and feels extremely lonely. He accidentally meets a rejected AI robot and an amnesiac Qin Yong. The three characters go through time, setting off on a marvelous and warm journey searching for self-identity.Dimash is singing from the point of view of the Emperor who is dying and reflecting on his life. It is a very spiritual song!

@@CalebColesMusic Caleb sorry I can't give you the link now, I'll try later but in the mean time you can try looking thru by searching his VTB Ice Palace Moscow Concert, Dubai, Minsk and Dusseldorf concerts - they're all from Igor's concerts so not Di's solo ones, but those are very recent - the VTB where he sang a trio with Lara Fabian and Aida Garrifulina the lead soprano from Vienna opera house. Interestingly, except for "Know", he sings in classical style, for me it's like Di back to his root. Showing us the real of Dimash under all his layers and styles and tones he so many has. Dubai, Minsk and Dusseldorf all feat his songs with Igor, except for Passione, I think coz it needs a special treatment and approach compared to the other songs.
You can also see his ABU TV song festival, also very recent. He performs SOS there. And then just this 29th he held a solo concert in St. Petersburg. Coz of these all performances are very new so I'm afraid you won't have thd official video yet but fancam ones. I hope this helps

When it comes out, look for the version of SOS that he sings in the St Petersburg Solo Concert!! A really different interpretation of SOS in that he adds a lot of rifts and feels almost like improv.. Stunning!!

I saw it online, it was really amazing, one of the best I've ever seen. Dimash was close to the audience and sang like never before. Creepy. Hugs BRAZIL
I prefer the version of SOS which he did recently in Tokyo at the ABU festival, check it out please Caleb Coles. I think he had a better mic, and that new Middle-Eastern riff he added, recorded really impressively in Tokyo. In St Petersburg the support team really left him in the lurch. They even exploded some fireworks in the middle of the crescendo of SOS, Dimash had to pause so that people can hear the end of the song! It is so sad to see it when the greatest singer in the world does not receive the greatest logistical support service.

ДИМАШ всегда знает, когда и как использовать своё вокальное мастерство, но без ЕГО светлой души, всё это былобы обычно. Соединение всех этих элементов : красота тембра, техника вокала, чистота и точность голоса,большой диапазон и ЕГО огромная, добрая душа, и дают такой поразительный эффект, такое удивительное воздействие на людей. Thank you so much for doing this one. I think it's one of his most beautiful and sadly overlooked. I read the lyrics as a recognition that breath and heartbeat--those things that make our bodies live--are failing, but something of us will endure, like the timeless qualities of physical features like mountains, the wind and the sky. It seems a very Eastern or Asian approach to me, describing how we can be at ease with the death that awaits us, rather than struggle with the prospect.

I interpret the lyrics to be about loss versus gain--losing something only to have his eyes opened to see something he couldn't before, and giving the last of him, his body warmth, back to earth, where it'll grow into something eternal and he'll see his beloved(?) again. Really love this song and wish it were longer (it's an interlude for that stage show)
He just had a concert in Germany and will be heading to NYC soon. It's definitely on my bucket list to see him perform live. Just incredible no matter how many times I listen to him.

Hi Caleb! Thanks so much for reacting to this gem! In my opinion it was never given the attention it deserves, so much artistry in this song!
Now, about feeding you with some links... I'll definitely keep it in mind for the upcoming concerts. In the meantime how about checking some recent Dimash stuff? You know, usually people suggest all those big production performances, because they are visually more impressive, hence we rarely watch reactors do videos about more raw presentations. And I get the reasons. But you, as an artist yourself, I think would be interested to see a more raw side of Dimash, yet full of emotion.
So, I suggest to check "Know" (whose MV you've already reacted to) and see how he improvises throughout the song (it's only vocalization, no lyrics) in a mini concert taken place not long ago in Sochi (Russia). I can't really tell if this one is suitable for a reaction or you'd better watch on your own, it's a stunning, hypnotic performance in my opinion but take in mind it's really stripped back and raw: ruclips.net/video/F-JDt3ZHuC8/видео.html

The fancams I shared are HD close-up and of decent sound quality. Now, I do understand if you think they wouldn't be interesting enough for a reaction/review video, but please at least do not miss to watch on your own, I believe you will enjoy them all and I doubt you could bump into this footage by yourself. Hello, if you search in RUclips: "dimash st Petersburg" or "dimash dusseldorf". St Petersburg was Dimash latest Solo Concert (many fan cams). AT Dusseldorf, Dimash appearance (also with many fan cams) was as a guest singer at (one of the many) a 65th Birthday concert of Igor Krutoy.

This and Ocean Over Time are my top faves amongst a veritable plethora of Dimash masterpieces. But then, he could sing cunieform with a yodel-refrain of hieroglyphs and still make it sound transcendentally celestial!!
I knew you would be reacting to this song soon. It's amazing what can happen in such a short time with Dimash. We know the technical and skillful ability of this human being is impeccable! Although knowing his ability, it's still so surreal at times. I'm still in Vegas and just saw a Donna Summer cover which was pretty good. I tried getting seats at the last moment for Dimash in New York December 10th, not feasible this time. Have a good one my bro...

This song is not played nearly as often as it should be. It is so beautiful and delicate, yet clearly displays his vocal talents so well. Imo, one of the best of his performances. I loved the way you analyzed and commented on it as well.

Thank you Caleb for your kind reaction .Last month , Dimash had been very busy with having concerts in Turkey, Dubai, , USA, Russia and Germany ( all with Mr. Igor Krutoi). although he had a guest appearance in Japan between the concerts in Russia and Germany. The next concert is in the USA ( solo) in Dec. 10 Barclay Center , New York. Perhaps the other dears can give you the links.
