My mum and day had a house down Abbey Street in Hull this brought me great memories of this songs 🎵 and the words in them I always listen to this for ever thank you so ❤️ much Tony you are ace
Great stuff. My elder sister and her husband bought their first house in Bacheler St. They claimed it was haunted. It's still there, I believe. Dunno about the ghosts. But BOYES is still there! Good for them, when so many stores have gone bust lately...
Saturday night pub crawl start at city end ,half a pint in each pub and on to the next to see how far you could get!!... dont think we ever made it half way. LOL.. Damn but there was one hell of a lot of pubs.
Sadly it's very run down nowadays. Worse than when I worked down Brighton St at the start of the 1960s. Henry Hird's shop still there, looks just the same.
Wow I was born on Campbell street and have lived in the USA for many years. Each time I return to Hull with my parents my mother still talks about how they ruined Hessle road. Great job!
