Lo que me gusta de losa mayoría de los pueblos de P.R. es su arquitectura Bella, siempre la conserva, mayormente el centro del pueblo.Que viva Puerto Rico wepaaaaaa!!
Guayama was a great city in the 50 and 60 the plaza is one of the most beautiful in the island. The church altar was a magnificent piece of religious art, but was dismantled and moved to no body knows where. Please share the history if you know it. The west side of the calle calimano was dressed with colorful cortina’s to protect from the afternoon sun and the comercial stores displayed a neon lights visible to visitors. It resembles an European city at the time. It was a very beautiful place to visit.
Guayama seems like it was once a great town. Sadly, we can only report what we learn on the day of our visit and from the information that we gather prior to our visit. After all, that’s what any regular tourist would do. If our videos are sometimes lacking it’s because the towns aren’t tourist friendly. They love the American dollar but they do very little to make their visit both educational and welcoming.
Pozuelo beach was my paternal parents finca until the land was appropriated by the government to develop Phillips Petroleum in the 1960s. And yes, I was not aloud in that portion of the beach but towards the eastern part thete was a nice reef with a pool like natural beach in front of my cousins land!
Agree 100%, my fellow guayameses do not know what a touristic treasure they have. After visiting more than 160 countries I can say few places can compare in history, beauty and architectural beauty. It’s Spanish, French, agricultural, slavery, and witchcraft and sport history is unequal.Unfortunately even most Puerto Ricans do not know Guayama, just ask!
Love this, my family has deep roots in this city
Thank you. Guayama is great.

Welcome! You’re coming during the prettiest month of the year. You should have a great time. Thank you for your kind words.
As a child in the late 1940s and 1950s my father took us to every town around the island, there were 72 then!
Now there are 78.

Maybe they’ll wake up. That’s why I produce these videos.
Five points
they say some people saw a a witch flying with her broom she come out at 12 midnight at that that town
Back in the day I used to play chess with my friend one move a day in that same plaza
It’s very regal and pretty. Some times I ask myself if Puerto Ricans realize all the great attractions that the Island has.
A mi siempre me a gustado la plaza de Guayama..
Sí. Es muy bonita.
