I can't believe you gave me just as much knowledge and subsistence as a Knox Hill bar breakdown. I'm in shock how much of your own personal perspective you were able to provide that 100s of other reactors hadn't covered yet. I felt as though you had just contributed new angles and insightful bits of wisdom into this universal well of knowledge as it keeps getting filled up with more information as time moves on. Pay extra attention to verse 2 in Money Game part 2. I'm looking forward to hearing what you think about his message. You make being a viewer and a Renegade really fun for us. Keep grinding my brother. This channel is absolute hidden GOLD. ORDER IN THE COURT THE JURY HAS SPOKEN.❤❤
You're breakdown was so good.🔥👏👏 Only a couple of reactors out of more than a hundred I've seen got the protest symbolism. I see Ren playing the part of the oppressor, the people who hold the power. The "hostage" is the rest of us, blind. He draws eyes on him because he wants him to see, Ren wants us to see. Then he looks in the metaphorical mirror and turns on himself. 🤩
Guy in the mask is Romain Axisa one of the band mates from The Big Push and a really good artist in his own right. He shared a flat with Ren in Brighton, UK
Nice breakdown to one of the most difficult of Ren’s songs to analyze. Ren goes deep with the social commentary all wrapped up in a stunning visual setting. Fun fact; it took over 180 attempts to get this one take shot. Thank you!
Please watch Ren’s 1 million subscribers video if you haven’t already. I really think you’ll connect with it and his message, it will also show you more of who Ren is as a person.
Your reactions are my new favorites, your all around knowledge is impressive and you catch every detail which most reactors just gloss over! Really looking forward to watch the rest of this trilogy and beyond in Ren's catalogue.
Thought you'd find this one interesting! Make sure to do the official lyric video for Money Game part 2, as the live version only has one verse of the song.
Just to elaborate here. The Official Lyric Video is the only full version of the song. It's not a typical lyric video. A lot of important imagery for context. If you already did the other one, still do this one
“A Lamborghini for a life?” Can’t wait for your continued Money Game reactions. Definitely do Money Game 2 (official/lyric version) and then part 3 official. So many layers to his message in this theme!
Yes, please do the lyric video if you react to Money Game 2. 💛 The other version misses a verse, I think, and the sound is a bit iffy, if I remember correctly.
You really are one of the best at this. Love your insights and personal touch on these breakdowns. I honestly get psyched every time I see a new post from you. So well done.👍
Thanks man. Great analysis. 👍 There's another video that IMHO belongs to the Money Game trilogy: Eden. It's not a song, but well worth a reaction. When Ren debuted his album SICK BOI, he initiated it with a contest he called THE MONEY GAME which lasted 14 days and involved really complex riddles based on the Seven Sins. @RikaShae made some great summaries of the different riddles. The video Eden is kind of the end of that Money Game.
Cant wait for your breakdown of The Hunger. That's the purest expression of his rap skills. But I know theres no stopping the Money Game train. A clip of part 2 is how I found Ren in the first place, and part 3 is... A Lot. So yeah, I damn well respect this series.
I'm relativly new in reactors community but already made up my mind about top 5 and you are there 100%. You put a lot of effort to break down the music and lyrics too. I would like to heard your opinion about NF (artist that I discover few weeks ago), he is creativ and fresh to me. If you find time please do NF - Therapy session for start. Then we'll see if we both go down on NF rabbit hole. #hogfamily #HOG4life. Thank you for your work, appriciate it❤
Awesome. I hope you stick a pin in some of these thoughts before you watch "Animal Flow." People understandably get distracted by the crazy of the video & Ren's flow, and then miss the societal/political message. Like you said, people get steered in directions that might not be in their best interests. It's not easy to see when you have so much hope that different will be better. It's hard to acknowledge when the champion who rebelled becomes the tyrant. Be sure to watch the lyric video for Part 2! The live version is an a capella excerpt. Can't wait!
Loved this reaction. Thic Quang Duc was the buddhist monk who sat in the Lotus position and had another monk pour gasoline on him and set himself on fire. Quang Duc did not move an inch. He did this in south Vietnam in protest of of the persecution of buddhists at the time. I know there are more people that did this, but Quang Duc is the one I’m most familiar with.
It’s mind boggling that it needs to come to that. What he did, well everyone should know his name and why he did that. I get angry with humans and the way in which we treat one another. When you were talking about being searched because of who you are it caused a fire in my stomach. My daughter let my son in law borrow her car for a few days, she got a phone call because he was pulled over. Now, she had forgotten that her tags just expired, but the fear she felt getting that phone call was awful. My son in law is black, and until she knew he was safely on his way after the cops called her to make sure she allowed him to use her car was ridiculous. No one should have to feel fear being pulled over for expired tags. No one should feel fear knowing they’re being profiled because of the color of their skin, because they are gay or whatever…. I know that people have evolved, but I also know that way too many people haven’t and want to take us back a few decades. I don’t like the fact that women lost their bodily autonomy. Those good old days that some people are really trying to get back to weren’t so good for a whole heck of a lot of people. What’s ridiculous about all of this, that until 2016 came along and allowed people to be their worst selves, I honestly thought that most people weren’t racist or at least I had no clue how many people are still racist in this country. I was completely ignorant. I’m gay, and I came out at a time where it was a little scary being out in public and having people notice because I never knew what would happen. I did have a few scary situations. I thought it was just gay people that people didn’t like. Now I see half the country demonizing transgender people that are just one percent of our population. How can one percent of the population defend themselves? Now I see clearly how omnipresent racism is still embedded in this country. Was I blind, I didn’t think I was an ignorant person, but I was, because I see it all around me now. I see it in the people that I’ve known for years. I have cut so many people out of my life, because I realized that morally we are on different planets. It all just makes me sick, it makes me sick and extremely angry and I feel like there is nothing I can do about it, which makes me more angry. This is the second time I’ve gone on a rant in your comments, I will try not to do it again. It is kind of your fault, you do talk about important things and you make me think. Never change, it’s one of the reasons why I love your channel. You are smart and you are levelheaded, where as I obviously feel the need to deliver a diatribe of everything I’m feeling at the moment. So sorry about that. I will try to behave from now on in your comments. I’ll keep them light and short. ❤
Great reaction,as usual! How's your health my brother? You haven't given us any updates lately😶 Don't think it's strange to ask you that. It's just how we are in Ren's community😊( most of us struggle too)🙏❤🙏
Hey Thanks for asking😍.. it's kicking my butt. 😁 but i gotta keep pushing through. The treatments are sometimes worse than the actual pain flare ups. going through some aggressive treatments. But I got this. Just a will to win💪❤️❤️🙏
@@FaceFamous Never give up,my friend. I hope it helps to know that there is someone thousands of miles away,on the other side of the world, having the same problems with health, who gets strength and inspiration to fight by watching your videos. You deserve to be on the top,bc you are the goat🙏🙏❤🙏🙏
Really enjoying your reactions and total respect to you, with your personal/health circumstances - stay strong man I definitely know what you’re going through (in a very similar way) ✊. Having watched your immense knowledge on history here, I’d love you to do a reaction to Akala’s Fire In The Booth sessions (parts 1-4). I think you’ll be absolutely blown away 👍. Also the ones by Low Key (parts 1 & 2) and any of Low keys other videos such as Terrorist, Ahmed, Obamanation etc. All powerful eye opening stuff but insane rap skills, too.
He was going around the world and believed he had landed in India, hence American Indians. He actually landed in the Caribbean Islands. He was looking for a sea route to avoid the Silk Road to the east as the Muslim rulers of that area would have killed Westerners generally)
20:09 - interestingly, though, even the so-called "Native Americans" are, if you go back far enough, immigrants as well. With some possible exceptions in a certain region of Africa, everyone on the whole globe is descended from folks who migrated, at one time or another, to wherever they are now. (Don't get me wrong, I think the tribes that lived on this land we call (the) America(s) before the Europeans came have a lot more claim to having indegenized themselves here, and thus a claim on the land -- #LandBack! -- it's just worth pointing out (it seems to me) when exploring these lyrics, that Ren's bars apply even to this context. FWIW, I think the concept of indegenization is well worth exploring more deeply. I wish I could remember off hand where I've read about the concept of it as a process one goes through, and even lives out in the present... I'd drop a reference if I could. Anyway, it's out there, though, and it's an interesting re-frame for some of the ways many of us think about these sorts of things.
How about something completely different? amira willighagen flower duet . 13 years old during in this performance but I think she won Holland’s got talent at 7 years old. Something special, Sir 🎩
