To become a Data Entry VA you just need to have basic computer operating skills. You need to know how to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint is great to learn but optional. As per as email management, you just need to know how to navigate Gmail and how to organize emails.
If you have the skills I mentioned above, then you can just create a portfolio and start looking for clients.
Somethings you won’t know how to go about them until you get started.

I think you can learn most of the VA skills by watching tutorials on your phone. When it comes to doing the work, you need a computer to offer VA services but you can offer some freelancing services using just your phone.

Ok, I'm a bit confused here bro cos there's this video of yours where you said you wouldn't advise new VAs to nitch down but rather beat they start off as a general VA.
But here you talking of choosing a notch, which you emphasized with several repetitions.

In the previous videos when I talk about niche down I am talking about freelancing not virtual assistance. I gave an example in my previous video when I started as a WordPress web designer I couldn't find clients until I niche down too WordPress landing page design. I gave other examples like content writers can niche down to e-commerce sales page copywriting etc.
But for virtual assistants niche down means you will be offering your services only to a specific type of clients, eg. real estate agents, online coaches, or e-commerce shop owners, etc. and I do not advise niche down as a beginner VA because you haven't worked with any clients previously so you don't know what type of services any type of clients require. You can to start as a general va when you work with some clients and gain some experience then you can decide whether you want to niche down.
Also, things are changing and new VAs need to adapt to change and do what works best at the moment.

It depend on the platform you work on and how you accept payment from clients.
If you work on Upwork, you don’t need to provide your banking information when you create an account but you will provide your banking details when you work for clients and get paid.
