    Such a good profile for the big leg sprinters. My podium is Cavendish, WVA, and Philipsen, in that order.

    • @CyclingGuy
      @CyclingGuy  Месяц назад

      Cheers ey, thanks for sharing your picks! I did not go for Cav and Philipsen, because both of them lost half their sprint train on yesterday’s stage

      Good call - my thoughts exactly. Jasper was looking pretty lost in yesterday’s sprint…I say it’s karma doing its work for last year’s shenanigans.

    These flat stages are getting old. Thank God there is only one more after this. Can't wait for Saturday and Sunday. Jonas will be 5 mins ahead come Sunday afternoon. No one can hang with the great Dane when the climbs get serious

    Boom 💥 You were on the money with your prediction for stage 12. Bring on stage 13! Bini all the way 🇪🇷 I was rocking my Bini t shirt in Brussels yesterday and the day before 😁 No Philipsen amongst your favourites? Is that due to the lack of a lead out train following yesterday’s stage?

    • @CyclingGuy
      @CyclingGuy  Месяц назад

      Haha, that's great ey, I should also get one of those T-shirts, his sprinting this has been nothing short but impressive! And check, no Philipsen or Cav because they both lost 2 men in their sprint train. Admittedly, MVDP can be a sprint train on his own, yet still ...

    Thanks for the preview. I am really wondering if tomorrow will be a breakaway day given that the green jersey is all but settled at this point.

    • @CyclingGuy
      @CyclingGuy  Месяц назад +1

      I have been thinking about that too, and even though I didn’t go for the scenario, it’s not excluded IMO, because Astana and Alpecin might opt not to contribute to the chase (given that they both lost 2 men yesterday)

  • @Didyoureallythinkaboutit

    Okay, I owe you an apology, I had to pick between Jasper or Bini for the win and I went with your Vegas odds instead of your podium. Man oh man, coulda woulda shoulda. Please don’t go away for the late stages, my 290th (current) will never hold without you! Peace and love.

    • @CyclingGuy
      @CyclingGuy  Месяц назад +2

      Ey buddy, no need for apologies ey! There’s a lot of potential scenarios for each of these stages and it’s perfectly normal to have different opinions - you simply can’t be right all the time. As long as people comment in a constructive way, I live to read what people think! Congrats with P290!!! As for the final week, I’m always in trouble, because it overlaps with our holiday, I will leave a more in depth final week preview though - enjoy

    • @CyclingGuy

      Check, that's a near certainty, and imagine the chase doesn't get organised (because Cav and Philipsen each lost 2 guys on the team yesterday), ...

    There’s this guy who has been on the tour for years with a little bit of success,,, now he’s running away from the best sprinters in the world,,,what,,, what’s this guy consuming,,,,

    • @CyclingGuy
      @CyclingGuy  Месяц назад

      Bini is still young ey, he's not even in his prime yet, and this is only his 2nd - very normal for these riders to have an early success, then struggle for it all to fall in place at some point, Bini has clearly reached that point on this year's Tour, his positioning in the bunch, even when on his own is world class
