I support this person’s assessment of the Bauer saw. I purchased mine a few years ago, and do all my home projects. No doubt for the money, this is the best product I have found out there, and a lot of metal components which was a real plus when I examined before purchase. Pretty beefy weight, the light feature is super nice late hour work for perfectly accurate cuts for large hard-wood flooring projects in our home. Fine blade install was easy, and had zero (I mean zero) checks or splintering of very dense acacia wood with this product.
Thanks! I bought one of these, and after I installed the blade I could not figure out how to make the blade guard behave the way it is supposed to. Your demonstration showed me how to fix it. The instructions were not as good as they could have been. Your video saved the day.
I just went with this one because it could do just about everything the Hercules could do, and it was cheaper. My table saw also uses a 10” blade, so it makes it easier to buy my blades in bulk.
Now that you've had it for a while would you say it was a good buy? I've been giving the Bauer saw a hard look, they seem pretty well built in the store but I always wonder about the long term. I can't bring myself to spend the money on a DeWalt because I'm not a professional. Looking at the 2 side by side in the store I was actually gravitating more toward the Bauer than the Hercules. The only thing that I really liked better about the Hercules was the fact that it has bevel detents for crown molding but I don't cut crown enough to make that a necessary feature.
Boring and needless comparisons with dewalt. You criticized the miter bevel system because you don’t understand how it worked. That’s all on you. Poor review

Great how to video. I didn't feel like reading the instructions and this video was to the point on everything. Thanks!
I appreciate your review and the tutorial. Thanks Ben!
Upon closer examination, you will find that the Bauer 10" is identical to the Jet JMS 10x. The same design from the same factory, but half the price.
Sweet!
Thanks for the review. Does it automatically stop in 0 bevel or do you have to manually set that in?
Been debating between this and the Hercules 12". I'm not sure I need a 12" and I'd be fine with saving the money. What made you go with the 10" ?

The pin is the 90* lock so that you can adjust your gate and everything to the same spot and when it clicks it will always be perfectly aligned
Thanks..needed a few details explained which were not clear in the manual..
Which you did..
Thanks for watching!
I know this is 8 months old but the reason the pin keeps resetting itself is to give you a hard stop at 90 degree bevel
Thanks. I really need to do a update on this saw because I have found a few tricks, just like that one.

@@Kutless1308 honestly I like it a lot. I haven’t had any issues with it. Just put a nice blade on it and it works really well.
How is to cut left handed??
I don’t usually cut left handed. If I do, it’s usually a weird cut. Not any different than any other miter saw
Stop moving the camera!!!!

It's a funny think about making a video, you kinda wanna point the camera at what you intend on filming.
