Rug #1 or #2 will work best in your space. Just make sure the rug is big enough for your sofa to comfortably sit on it (the front legs at the very least). You would be surprised how much the rug size can make or break your room design. Love the sofa. Good luck and congrats!
Rug #1 or 2, you can try side nesting tables, or like someone already suggested put a tray ( an oversized round/ square tray ) on the ottoman. You can also put the ottoman in your bedroom to put your pillows on or for Leroy. This way you will have some room for a small coffee table ( between the dinning room table, coffee table, and if you are getting a storage to go under the TV it might feel cluttered).
a tip for putting in the pillow inserts is to fold the pillow in half and adjust the sides (point to point) and just pad down the pillow. and whenever i make pillow we usually put 3-4" bigger than the case.

Quality of life definitley does improve once you get a couch i was doing saucer chairs for soo long trying to hold offf buying a couch but its very unforgiving to your neck 😭
