The best of the '80s Cardinals teams (damning with faint praise though that may be)--only missed the playoffs due to a last-second loss to Washington in the final week. Actually a better team than the next Cardinals team to make the playoffs, in '98. That team was a stone-cold fluke in almost every way, whereas the '84 team was 4th in the league in points and had legitimate offensive weapons in Lomax and Ottis Anderson.

@@survivor5044 That's why HS Football is by far my favorite to watch nowadays. You can still hit someone decent & it isn't an automatic flag & even worse, in college, a damn ejection. These kids get only so many opportunities to play collegiate games, it's criminal to take away their eligibility for hard play and at worst, honest mistakes. Spearing has always been an enforceable,ejectionable offense. These 'targeting' bs rules didn't need to ever see the light of day. But it really is an indictment of how much American society has gone in the effn toilet when you see what they've done to our favorite sport.

Giants 9-6
Cardinals 9-6
Cowboys 9-6
If the Cardinals K makes his FG, Cardinals end up 10-6 along with the Redskins and the Giants are out.
