Good step by step information for someone new to the process. You're a good instructor with a pleasant voice. Thanks.
Thank you for this! I am not a newbie to music production (I have experience in a bunch of DAWs) , but I am still quite new to Studio One and I still have lots to learn about the workflow. Very concise and in depth overview here!
Awesome tutorial Quanta..
Studio one best Daw so far. I love this video... great tutorial

Thank you for this video.
I have a question. Before, when zooming in the piano roll, I was able to see the key notes on each note I introduced as you show in the video but now, even if I do that, notes are not displayed anymore... Every note does not show if it is a c, d, e ... Every note is empty. Do you know what to do do to make them displayed again in the piano roll ? Some option to activate ? Thx
Great explanation. Really clear and useful. Thanks!
Thanks for this! Very helpful my friend.
VERY helpful, thank you so much! 👍🙂
Great video - thanks mate 🙂👍
excellent vid Q
Thanks
Thanks so much!
Can you do guide to all stock effects included in Pro version?
Great very detailed video! I am wondering if you know how I can change the colors of my notes that correspond with each note? For example..The C note might give me a yellow color here while I want it red. The thing is hat I've been using the same notes for colors the last 20 years with cubase, so I can immediately read the chords or notes based on the colors as I know them. Thanks!
thx a lot man !
Great tutorial! Helped me out a lot.
Did someone ever told you you sound a little bit like T-Pain?
i love your tutorials. You are excellent in explaining every point in greater details. I have learnt a lot from you. What still confuses me, is the Quantize pull down option and choices. Is there a specific tutorial on that aspect alone
Hey, thanks for supporting the channel. I would check out this tutorial, here: ruclips.net/video/HXh5IfBNF-c/видео.html
Is there a way to show all notes on the piano roll similiar to FL
I'm more lost now since I started to learn Studio One! I think I'll just stick to what I know. I never needed this Abra Kadabra! Lol
Hi I'm using studio one 4.5 and your videos have been a great help. Thanks for making them. I have learned a lot. However I'm currently stuck and was hoping you could help me out. I'm trying to use presence rock drum kit in the piano roll as I don't have a midi controller yet. I can put a bass drum beat on the 1st beat of every measure but that is it. If I try to put the bass on the 2nd 3rd 4th beat of the 1st measure it says no event selected. Quantize is set to 8th notes. Thanks in advance and I will see you in the next video.
Hi! Are you gonna make any tutorial about Studio One Notation features?
Hi, my piano roll is not showing the names of the midi even after full zoom, please help, I've been searching but can't find how to enable it
when I write notes there, it doesn't play for me, I don't really know what I did, btw I have a free version. Please help
Quanta, firstly thank you for all of your effort. I am learning Studio One from your tuts! Question...I've googled up a storm and can't find the answer: Can I have 2 or more piano view editors detached and pinned on my second monitor? I've tried everything and can't sort it. Only one, and I have 3 midi tracks I'd love to stack.
This is not possible, as far as I am aware. As I'm sure you noticed while trying to find a way, there is no 'pin' button for the edit windows as there is for the VST instruments and effects. Double-clicking a MIDI part immediately changes the focus of the editor to the current highlighted track. The closest you're going to get to editing MIDI for several different tracks/instruments at a time is by using the track list feature, which I cover in this video at: 18:04
@@quantaaudio sadly yes, that's what I've found. Thank you for replying.
Does anyone know how to change the note representations from sharp to flat? The listed items in the "Scale" menu, and the note names shown on individual events in the piano roll, and the pop-up text displayed when hovering over a note all use the Sharp representation, and I cannot find a way to change it. For example, where I would like to see D-flat, Studio One shows E-sharp . Thank you.
Great video - do you know if there's a way to get it so that when you are resizing notes by dragging with the cursor, it automatically resizes to the grid? Ie if i wanted to change a note from 1/4 to 1/8th, when resizing it snaps that way rather than it resizing in line with the cursor?
You will want to be sure that the "snap" function is turned on by pressing "N" on your qwerty keyboard, and then be sure to set your quantize value to the length you want the notes to snap to. ruclips.net/video/HXh5IfBNF-c/видео.html
@@quantaaudio Appreciate the quick response. Just watched the video you linked and it looks like the person you refer to in the intro had the same issue I mentioned. Many thanks and keep up the good work :) Subbed!
Hi is there a way to charge chords directly to the piano roll like in fl studio?? I can't find that feature in studio one :( like selecting an m7 pattern and drag it in the note that i want the chord ...
🧡
Hello Quanta, is there a keyboard shortcut to change the midi view like you manually do at 20:47? If yes, what's it called?
Thank you
Notes are not visible anymore on the piano notes in the grid like I see on your screen. Do you know how to reactivate them ? (Zooming do not make them show)
Not sure what the issue could be, Xtadeus. I just tried in Studio One 5.5 and 6, both showed the note names. Of course, you need to be sure that you are zoomed in enough vertically/horizontally.
@@quantaaudio yes I zoomed (even until max) but notes are not showing anymore snif. I was messing around but do not know how to make them reappear. I asked on Reddi.
In piano roll the arrow tool is more usable for me than paint tool , but i have some issue with it , so is there any way to change double press to make new note with one press !
This will make a big difference for me
Thanks
Not that I'm aware of, sorry.
@@quantaaudio thank you
How can i make key notes appear in piano roll
Thanks a lot for this demo 👌, is there a ghost notes option in Studio One 5 ?? Where you could see the midi from other tracks ?
I covered that in the video. And, it's listed in the time stamps...
@@quantaaudio sorry man, should have know it, for the title of the video says: EVERY feature covered ☺️☺️, and I should have listened to the WHOLE video too ☺️☺️🙃.. And now I see I have to press the more button to see the whole time stamp list..☺️☺️. I am looking for a windows DAW, beside my iPad DAWS, is this a good beginners DAW (Studio One Artist version) as I wanna buy a Presonus 24c which includes this software. Thank you so much 🙏, and have a nice day ✌️
what's your string library? thanks
It is the strings that come with S1 professional.
@@quantaaudio thank you
