RIP Sir Christopher Lee (May 27, 1922 - June 7, 2015), aged 93 And RIP Hervé Villechaize (April 23, 1943 - September 4, 1993), aged 50 You both will always be remembered as legends.
Very honored and proud to have gone to James Bond (Phang Nga) Island in Thailand and walked where these gentleman filmed this great movie. Seeing this movie at a young age, it made a lifelong impression. I dressed like Christopher Lee and brought my own perfect golden gun replica that I made from wood and took videos and photos. Wonderful memories that will last forever!
I'm biased in this comment but I love watching Christopher Lees interviews, so dignified, so controlled, so intelligent, it's a far cry from the celebrity of today.
Around this time I had the pleasure of interviewing Christopher myself during the promotion of the film. I never once mentioned height! How ridiculous of her. He was a delightful and gentleman, I will never forget him
Herve had to kneel in his later years to sleep because he found it hard to breath, because he was soo small his organs were shrinking, that's why he committed suicide, he left a note to his wife telling her about he found it hard to breathe, I find it very very sad, it's really sad, rest in peace herve
His organs weren't shrinking. The problem was that his organs were regular size and that was too big for his tiny body. Everything was squished inside of him and it caused him great pain.
Christopher Lee tried to shift the focus away from that topic by talking about his experience meeting the Pope. You could see the look in his eyes when the interviewer opens the height topic
Great to see these two being interviewed, but I agree with other commenters that there was too much focus on height. I sense both men, especially Herve, would have spoken about other matters. I love the fact he was smoking a cigarette. Both men were such gents.
Not sure how I ended up here, but I was researching Herve. You could tell he was so happy, and enjoying where he was headed in his career. Sadly, to learn how he left this world is painful to learn. The interview was definitely awful, but he was very interesting in it!
He was said to have become such an unpleasant character on the set of "Fantasy Island" that the producers gave him 'the bum's rush': maybe his physical problems were the cause of it' but who will ever know, some 30 years after his demise (?)
Christopher Lee was brilliant in The Wicker Man, The Man with the Golden Gun, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, the Star Wars prequel trilogy, the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Hobbit film trilogy. Appearing in Happy Days, Only Fools and Horses, Cheers, St. Elsewhere, Murder She Wrote, Moonlighting, Roseanne, Saved by the Bell, Seinfeld, The Simpsons, One Foot in the Grave, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Home Improvement, Beavis and Butt-Head, ER, Friends, King of the Hill, Daria, South Park, Family Guy, Scrubs, 8 Simple Rules, Two and a Half Men, American Dad, The Big Bang Theory and Bob’s Burgers were all missed opportunities for him. He would have made a good Brainiac in Superman III if the character had appeared in the film.
The interviewer was rather obnoxious. Why did she hone in on constant remarks and questions regarding height? It's clear that she saw Herve as a little person and not as a human being in his own right. Height ought to have been utterly irrelevant for this interview (save perhaps a single question).
His career was built on his height. In the movie Roger Moore says "Ive never shot a midget but there is a first time for everything." You should not demand modern day sensabilities from an interview this old.
I like Christopher and I love Herve, but I do not like Bobbie Wygant. I find her incredibly insensitive, totally without any charm. She gets on my nerves.
Indeed. Not only did she disrespectfully keep focusing her questions around Herve's height but she also continually made everything about herself. The sheer nerve to liken her lot in life (as a slightly below average height lady) to that of Herve. Outrageous!
Good God, lets ramble on and on about the obvious height discrepencies! No wonder Herve Villechez committed suicide. Bobbie Wygant must have driven him to it. RIP Herve Villacheze and Christopher Lee. How you both died first and is still alive as of this writing tells me that indeed the good die young (or at least younger).
Rip Christopher and Herve. Absolute legends....🤩🤩🙏
Christopher Lee absolutely nailed it as Scaramanga.
Jack Palance turned down the role which allowed Chris to play the character.
Lee and Herve would have made a great team on Fantasy Island....but Ricardo was just Fantastic!
Always thought they should have remade it with Daniel Craig.Michael Fassbender as Scaramanga and Peter Dinklage as Nick Nack.
RIP Sir Christopher Lee (May 27, 1922 - June 7, 2015), aged 93

These were such simpler times. Christopher was a great man. Thanks for the upload.

Sir Christopher Lee was so eloquent and articulate. Love this uncovered gem.
I enjoyed this interview. It was lighthearted and genuine, not boring or serious. Two legendary artists in their own right.
two of the most interesting people, thanks for upload
These two had great on screen chemistry.
(Wygant is still alive in 2022 at age 95)

It was on his wiklopedia, that's where I got my information
@@lorimiller4301 da pain.. da pain
@@lorimiller4301 I can't imagine how agonizingly painful that must've been! 😭 Poor guy.
It seems to me inappropriate from the woman being so focused on height... It should not be the case. Great both Christopher and Hervé 💗

Bobby: "...maybe we'll see you in a musical one day..."
Christopher: *thinking* "Yeah, my Charlemagne Metal musical..."

What a strange interview. All she did was talk about how tall they were. Not one word about the film at all!! Very strange !
She literally talked about them both being the villains in the movie they played together...
@@joeselsbury543 Yes, very briefly in between constantly harping on about how small Herve was and how tall Christopher was.
I know, talking about height, I thought it was discraceful what she was saying
Interesting remark about Shane

She is pretty.
That woman should have not mentioned height it was disrespectful to herve, you can tell by herve, he wasn't happy with her
She made a huge point about other people’s height status. It was entirely unnecessary. 😒

Too bad Goldfinger and Oddjob weren’t on the Bobbie Wygant show!! Lol 😂
Miss Tattoo, rude interview about height !

Well herve was young only 50,Christopher Lee was old 93 years
Bobbie wygant is nearly 95 years
Bobby wygant is very weird, and silly
My god has it been that long , I wouldn't be born for another 3 to 4 years
Bobbie is being a little clumsy in this interview.
6'4 isn't that abnormal whats that crazy woman on about you'd swear he was 8'4 .
Truly dreadful interview!
