Oh, I dunno. I got to see Aidan Turner in _The Lieutenant of Inishmore_ in London, and he had to do everything from cry to die and did it all flawlessly. I've always thought he was incredible, but you're right, the whole cast was fantastic.
Hearing his American accent scared me, I’m a Brit and I was fooled! We Brits seem to master the American accent quite easily, but it’s not much the case the other way, but Kyles Accent had me and many others fooled👏👏👏
He may be American but he studied at RADA and has called London home for over 10 years, so I guess he's had plenty of time to perfect an English accent!
adding to all of the other comments: HE'S AMERICAN?!?!?!?!?! That honestly threw me...I can't get through this interview...I don't know how to process this...
I noticed the different way some were saying Poldark, and it made me wonder if I were saying it wrong all this time. I guess I was. :) I thought Kyle did a great job with the part. I'll miss him.
I’m so confused his real voice is so much deeper and American???? His English accent was so convincing in Poldark I had absolutely no doubts that he was British!
You mean an English gentleman. British people are from Scotland,Wales,England and Northern Ireland. Kyle is fabulous in Bodies on Netflix too, playing another English man.
"you couldn't predict something like this" you kinda could though, given that the 70's version was a huge hit. So much so that apparently they rescheduled church in some areas just so people could stay home and watch it!
one of the only American actors who can actually do a convincing British accent
His real accent comes as such a surprise after hearing him as Francis!!
i genuinely feel like his actual american accent is fake and his British one is real- it's so funny!
When he said "She means Francis has been failing." in Poldark Season 1, he said "failing" with an American accent.
HOLY SHIT HE'S AMERICAN
I am not surprised he is American...he is from Connecticut...New England. He is an outstanding actor to me...very nuanced.
Kyle is the best actor of the whole lot. The entire cast is incredible, but he really is in a class of his own.

Ohmygod I WOULD NOT HAVE GUESSED HES AMERICAN! HE DOES THE ACCENT SO WELL!!!

That's so cool!
he is an excellent actor. I had no clue he is American. So love/hate Francis!
Thank you for sharing. I love Happy Francis for a change. Kyle's performance and storyline steal the show in Poldark S02, so far.
Seems like such a nice guy! and WHAT a character arch for Frances. pleasure to watch.
He's very shy as himself. Much more than I thought he'd be.
His American speech is beautiful, no regional accent, perfect standard American. And needless to say, his British accent is flawless.
I believe he's from Connecticut.

Good job. An American that even the Brits cannot separate from his English accent.
He seems like a reserved and calm guy, but one who opens up and is goofy with people he is comfortable with!
you are a very very good actor

I love this Frances. Always thought he was a good guy.
HE'S AMERICAN?!?!
I never would have guessed that he is American. Nor would I have guessed Heida Reed is Icelandic.

YEES!!!! the reverse Idris Elba and Stringer Bell. I now love him even more.
He has such a British gentlemanly look. The accent is perfect. Just can't believe he's American

I miss him watching him on the show.

Hes american?!?!?! Totally was not expecting that
wait...he's AMERICAN???
Born in my home state, Connecticut!!
Looked him up to see if he is american, and he is, I knew I heard a twang of it in Poldark, although mostly he does a good job
I'M SHOOK
Can someone tell me who he voiced in Alien: Isolation?
*HE SOUNDS LIKE JOHNNY DEPP!* (just a higher pitched voice)
Siril karn
this seems so wrong that he's american lol
Heidi Reid is not nearly so beautiful in person.. it's the teeth when she laughs..
