I take big issue with your “privileged” comment! @@Juke582 sounds like you’re projecting a lot. Did you investigate the court case itself whatsoever? This was very interesting.. I'm usually the last to victim blame, but in this case it definetly appears he was the more vulnerable one in the relationship. I'm not excusing the crime, and agree there was a crime committed, and Rachel had a right to safety and privacy in her mother's home. But her actions in all of this I think should count as mitigating factors when it comes to sentencing.
you should have read more carefully before reacting. I quote 'She still has a right to her privacy.' She is unpleasant enough to where I don't particularly care about her personally, but everybody is entitled to their privacy in their domicile.
Thanks for putting context to this case. I agree, creepy, weird inappropriate behaviour but almost was entrapment of the perpetrator into role play by the victim because of the erratic consensual physical relationship. Glad it ended before the situation escalated into something even weirder and more creepy.

I had a stalker in college. My reaction to realizing i was being stalked was to hide and try to ignore it and finally, after my friends expressed concern, to go to the police and get them to help me. They had a conversation with him and i never saw him again and was relieved and happy to be left alone. Nothing about her behavior in this case is like the way i felt and acted in response to being stalked. She definitely led him on and encouraged his behavior.
@@SirenaSpades he was absolutely stalking me. We had one study seminar together and after that he started following me everywhere. Within a few weeks he knew my entire class schedule and was sitting outside each class when i arrived. He didn't try to talk to me, just stared directly at me until i went inside the classroom. He would then wait outside the classroom for a while looking in the glass window at me occasionally, then he would leave but next class he'd do the same thing again. He tried to get on my computer in the computer lab when i went to get some print outs. He even started hanging out in the cafeteria whenever i usually went there for food. I kept changing my routine to avoid him so he'd go from place to place checking which of my regular spots i was in. My friends were very worried and started walking with me everywhere on campus to make sure he never caught me alone. If that's not stalking, i don't know what is. I have no idea what the police said to him, but i think he completely left the college, or had never been a student there and was just there to stalk me, because he just wasn't around at all after that.

Giving out addresses is to get the victim to buy you stuff is not only immoral, but its clinical stupidity (I am sure its in the manual somewhere). Well I looked for her pictures, its not to clear who she is. But in searching I found a charming story of a model from the same site that ended up living in the same -town- well actually -neighborhood- house as her #1 fan. It's her step-dad. The paper quoted her as saying "oowoowoo. What are you doing step dad?" That quote may not have happened but the story is real
When I was growing up our family house had a third floor which was a very big attic that we turned into two bedrooms. I had one bedroom and used to love to hang out in my room and listen to music and daydream. My friends would tease me and say the "attic" is now in the Smithsonian. So, when I saw this story about an attic it made me think.
It's crazy to think how many stories exist about uninvited roommates secretly living in other people's basements, attics, closets, storage sheds, barns, garages, etc undetected for months or years! With the only immediate evidence something isn't right usually being things like unexplained footsteps at night, some food often going missing from the kitchen, and a few others until the intruder decides to show their face (intentionally or accidentally) to the rightful residents of the property.
Rachel, for financial gain, knowingly and wittingly engaged in systematic psychological and emotional abuse against a vulnerable individual. Mauricio should get a strong female attorney to sue Rachel for damages that could go into a trust for his re-entry to society after his prison sentence.
To me this is the case of "toxic femininity". I'm not saying he's not guilty of stalking, but she really created the circumstances for this to happen, but she bares no responsibility for being manipulative and taking advantage of people.
There are a lot of ways to be a complete jerk that aren’t illegal.. and it is anything but simple to figure out what behaviors should be legislated against. I also wonder what needs of her were not met, that led her to looking for this kind type of attention. I think it is easy to imagine being a lonely, horny, easily manipulated guy. Or at least it is for me. It is harder to relate to what a beautiful young woman was looking for here.. or at least it is for me.
Rachel put her child in danger….maybe the state should take her kid away from her. She is probably glamorizing being stalked after watching a few seasons of the Netflix show “you”. She seems like the type to think that way.

There is no justification for intruding someone's house, but otherwise this has important question of victimhood, as you described. In modern feminist society love and sex are more and more merchandise, in which seller is a woman and buyer is a man. Earlier this was seen as men exploitating women, but in many cases man is the victim, who is exploited. Insecure and weak men, who look for love and/or sex, are used by women, who take their money. It is easy to say that men do it on their free will, but this is more like addicted gambler offered a chance to play roulette in Casino. In feminist society some so called liberated women see the easy money. Earlier they were called prostitutes, but now they are enterpreneurs. We should help young men to grow up, but feminist society doesn't care about them. This guy needs to make up what he did, but in better world this could have been prevented not to happen. Societal problems don't explain everything bad and stupid things people do, but sometimes they are part of the equation.

They had a conversation with him and i never saw him again and was relieved and happy to be left alone. Nothing about her behavior in this case is like the way i felt and acted in response to being stalked. She definitely led him on and encouraged his behavior.

So, when I saw this story about an attic it made me think.
Well simply put you play with fire you get burned in this case both parties got burned just one more than the other.
