So good. I've been playing a long time. I grok theory well. But *applying* it takes discussing things clearly and what to do with it. It keeps me "intermediate" rather than advanced. This channel is a *goldmine* for someone like me. Lots of keys here. So clearly presented.
Another great lesson! It'd be great to get more lick lessons and a part 2 of this one with more wide intervals. And no, Steve Vai licks are never too many. Thanks Rob!
Your site is honestly one of the best I have seen for guitar. I am a long time bass player, know the fretboard, triads of all kinds, diminished runs, can sight read and play about anything I want to. But your site really shows me why I am having such a hard time learning guitar. I just cannot wrap my mind around it. I guess it will be a hobby.
Hey there. I love your channel. I learn so much from you. Just wanted to give you a heads up that you have labeled the third intervals incorrectly at 1:58 of this video - you reversed minor vs. major third interval labels for the Em7 chord. It doesn't affect the substance of the information, they're just labels, but thought you'd like to know in case you want to fix it. Take care!
Best lessons on the tube. Question what do you think about the endura neck? I'm really thinking about saving for a while to get a strandberg. Again great lessons thank you
these are the coolest arpeggios iv'e learned in a long time and i applied them to the major scale and played all of the diatonic up and down super cool lesson thanks man
Great stuff, thank you so much for for sharing these ideas with us! A couple of things I've noticed: 1:58 The qualities of the intervals on the diagram are reversed, it should be minor where it says major and vice versa. This was also pointed out by @Javier-jn3dp. 4:25 The chord should be Cm(b6/9).
man your lessons are gem
Gems are baubles by comparison.
Why?
@@garmodonnel3519Because he teaches unorthodox aspects of music theory
One of the best lessons ever I've ever seen on YT, crystal clarity and huge value, biggest thanks, Sir.

So good.

This - was - awesome! I am so going to study and practice these for sure. I love that tone as well.
Thanks!. The tone comes from the .strandberg* in combination with the Neural DSP Plini Plugin.
@@QJamTracks Nice. :) I'm going to "attempt" a similar tone on my Boss Katana MKII-100. I believe I may be able to get close.

The face he made after saying 6/9 showed me he knew someone would comment about it

Such an awesome lesson! Is there a .PDF for it?
Thank you! The e-book will be available soon in my e-book shop at qjamtracks.myshopify.com
@@QJamTracks Thank you! I just purchased it!
3:11 I usually use C4 for D-tonation :>
👍😀
A certain “potato head” used wide interval arpeggios for a mystical song 😉😉 jokes apart these classes are so good! Thank you for the amazing work
Yes and it was a Groove Thing ;)
Please explain Matteo Mancuso style 😅😅
Maybe in a next lifetime ;)
I do not understand why a "Cm6/9" has a flat(minor) 6th? Doesnt that make it a Cm#5(9)?
Maybe a better name would have been Cm(add9)b13, Cm9(b13) or Cmb6/9
@@QJamTracks Thank you very much for the reply.
Whats he takking about?
0:09 no i'm not
for the bum flash i’m out of here - low bar
