They omitted some very important footage. 1- Countless hours spent in the cafeteria waiting for the next roll call so that you can go to lunch. 2- Crossing rivers in the freezing cold water while the officers and the senior NCO's cross the the same river on the perfectly good bridge that is only 20 feet away. 3- Hardly ever firing real bullets due to budget cuts. 4- Years and years of repeated training and being ready to go at a moment's notice only to have the reservists get all the nice out of Canada postings. 5- Being issued obsolete and dangerous equipment. 6- Coming home after a mission only to find out your wife emptied out your bank account, sold the house and is long gone with the kids. (happens more than you would think).
@@gavins9846 simple. The regular force army soldiers are only deployed for major or special operations. This means major conflicts like Afghanistan, Bosnia or the first Iraq war. Reservists get all of the (special) irregular missions. This means they get deployed a lot more than reg force.

Do not recommend. Get a trade with a civilian equivalent, otherwise you're wasting an opportunity to gain a skill free of charge that will matter after you're tired of being bored, doing weapons drills and waiting around to get yelled at to move quicker because someone has finally had their coffee.
Hurry up and wait. Being deployed into 'battle' on school buses (yes, literally). Learning zero skills for the real world. Firing 'verbal' bullets (because there's usually no ammo). The Canadian Army has a special place in the hearts of Dutch people. Their sacrifice in the liberation of Holland will not be forgotten.
