Too bad that 11% of Canadian people want Canada to have a good Military. The Soldiers need a Military with strong budget that meets the strength of the people in uniform. If one doesn't serve, that's fine, but ask the Country to support the people in uniform who on a moment's notice will go to sea, or air or ground to fight. The Military needs a Navy, Air force, and Army. New equipment and supplies and firearms and ammunition and list goes on and on because of many years of neglect. A blank cheque probably wouldn't be enough at this point

I was stationed at CFB Petawawa inn the 70's as a vehicle tech with 2 Service Battalion just before the Burgundy Beenies showed up and half the Base went SSF , those were the days , we still had the Centurion II Battle tank back then , that was a beast to work on , as well as the APC ( Tracked ) , Lynx , 1/4 ton jeep , absolutely loved my job as a vehicle tech.
My father was stationed there 86 - 90 2 MP Platoon , I went to General Lake and River Crest I was watching some videos hoping to see something I remember MB Criggers store or Pauls Variety down by the IGA cant even find pics of the PMQ 's was wondering if they were torn down like they did to Greenwood .
I was a Foreman for a company, who installed warning bouys along the Ottawa River from Petawawa to Chalk River refinery for a season. My father was trianed there, as a Gunner before he went overseas, in !940. I can honestly say it was me and my Barge crews great pleasure to have worked there?
