Swan Lake (Act II, No. 10)
By Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky [Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky] / arr. Michael Hopkins
Item: 00-38401
Series: Belwin Beginning String Orchestra
Level: 2.5
This unabridged arrangement remains very true to the original while making this beautiful music playable by string orchestra. The key has been changed from B minor to E minor so all parts remain in first position. This is a great piece for teaching legato and tremolo bowing, expressive phrasing, triplet rhythms, accelerando, and ritardando.

Bruh why they change to E minor, aint the B minor easier?
The site says it's switched to E minor so all instruments can remain in 1st position
Principal second violin here
It's nice to meet another section leader, hello!
What the hell is with the transposition? Why not stick to the original key? It sounds so sad for no reason
I kinda agree
Agree! Idk why it sounds so sad, I thought swan lake is peaceful, not hurtful
So everyone stays in 1st position (says the site)
I think this song was mostly meant for junior high orchestras since the original one is very hard to master and is usally meant for professional orchestras
Thats a fucking arrangement idiot
