While I could watch the vertical mill make chips all day I also realize how long some passes take. 🙂 I'm always amazed at how the sides can be timed when setting up to hob 'herringbone' gears. It was great to see so much more of the layout/setup to machine the second side. Great video, and I enjoy watching a great team show their skills and talents. 10/10
I’m super critical of there working environment it’s just so unbelievably stressful seeing scattered pieces of rubbish and half finished work and debris laying around dangerously underfoot however the incredible nature of their work is extraordinary precisely detailed and extremely exacting which is a total contradiction in comparison to all appearances of the facilities
Very nice that you showed us the centering process (term? I am a complete non-expert) at about 10:00. Real craftsmanship is more interesting than a preoccupation with the turning (chafing?, cutting?).
You are correct in what was going on. Being in the industry I call it indicating it in. It of course being whatever the workpiece is and or work holding whether flat, straight, or round.
