- This custom head was the collaboration between me and the commissioner, who had won my costume auction back in October. Took roughly 3 months or so to complete; probably the most interesting and time intensive head i've ever worked on.
The name given to it by the owner is : Carbon.

I honestly feel so blessed whenever experienced suit makers stream or post videos of their process that just open up a whole new platform for creativity. So many written tutorials just suggest the same thing you see everyone else doing with little room for variation. Videos like this, I feel like, allow the viewer to see years of experience come together into a physical process and you can use that to more easily spark new ideas off of that instead of just blatantly copying a process.

I do flat work, not fursuits but whenever I finish a painting or like a really annoying commission with a character that is WAY too complex, I just absolutely feel this.

This head deviates from the usual toony wolf style that you usually see in suits and boy howdy am I loving it. holy moly.

how have i never seen this before holy crap. im a newish maker and ive like. never seen anything like this, man. when i realized the teeth were foam, and like the roof of the mouth was an insert. my mouth was on the floor. this has revolutionized making for me lmfao

What fabric are you using for the face and what tool are you using to burn into the foam to shape the teeth?
Idk about the fabric, but the tool is called a Dremel
i think they are just using faux fur for the face and its just shaved down and as for the teeth it would be a wood burner you can get them at any craft/hobby store
i dont know but it might be minky fabric
Rikkoshae Romero Actually it's a wood burner.. the Dremel is used for smoothing/sanding and a wood burner is used for details.
The fabric is called short pile fur, its almost like the fur they use on teddy bears

This piece is great and the editing in these videos always gives me a good giggle
The amount of work put into these is the reason they aren't cheap. I made mine at home but not as extravagant as this and it wasn't easy. I can see I've made quite a few errors after watching this but it was my first suit. The tail of mine is huge and quite heavy but has curl inserts to move around.
As a new maker this gives me ideas on how to better myself as a personal creator as well.
I don't plan on selling mine though. I just like to have furiety. XD

Really liking seeing the process and the soundtrack you picked.
what sets this apart from most other fursuit head timelapses, is that is has great visuals, great music, it's only 1 part, and it has a funny ending!

I occasionally make fursuits. It's always interesting to see how different folks build heads. I liked the use of the high density foam for the teeth. I usually buy them from DCR. I'll have to try that technique!

Nice head! I find the back of the head strange, but im not hating, because this is an absolutely AMAZING head. There are no limits to the creativity that you can use in a suit, and this is the most creative ive seen yet! Keep doing what you do!
