Volare did not peak because of such a competition in $400 segment and $600 had Oracle and Mega5EST. Sogno feels more like a price correction after that. However a very nice package for sure.
Great coverage. While the Volare unboxing experience was great, I really like how the package of this is a little more practical, especially with how they packaged the different tip types individually
@@SuperReview The Oracle MKIII, a super nice all-around set, to my ears. Switching to the Mega5EST, Dusk and Project M often. Those 4 are the main rotation at the moment 👍 Hope you had a nice trip to CanJam.
The cable looks great, and the modular connector is compact. Ever since I stopped making impulse buys, my interest on the new gear gradually withers and I go back to what I have. Even with S12 2024, which could have been the perfect planar for me. Still, Sogno is definitely interesting and my kind of tuning. But I do have Dusk.
Great review as always! I appreciate them doing crazy packaging although nowadays everything is put on a Gate cable and used with Springtips / Sancai Tips for me, haha.
Ouch, 7Hz Zero 😅 I've recently took Prime Day SM4 deal and discovered soundstage depth in IEM, unlike Timeless and S12, which I still love, with EQ. What's your recommendation for the best soundstage and imaging? I've also taken KE4, but I am most likely to return them, I think I prefer SM4.
@@SuperReview thanks, man. Yeah, anyway with Feist, Pleasure was indeed a bit hard to get into and I probably loved only two songs in that album. Multitudes though, I really find it too flat at the start but then I listen to it while I was on a bus and it became really great. I think my favorite so far is The Redwing. Though I do love Hiding Out In The Open, the chorus just hits hard musically and lyrically.
When are we going to admit that harman target is a bad target because its unnaturally thin in the mids. Recessed in the lower mids and shouty in the upper mids. Its not about taste, or ear shape. Harman tuning is just unnatural. If you like unnatural thin sound good for you but dont tell me the timbre is natural😂
@@SuperReview yeah, some people loved harman. Until they heard the new meta tuning🤣 And now the biggest harman fans are suddenly like oh yeah this one is better. Meta fixes exactly what i always said was wrong with harman.
Its just refined Nova. Watch his review of the Nova. Also, you have to remember people of his caliber (in a sense that they own like 20-30k$ worth of audio if not more) would hardly get blown away by 150$ iem both objectively and subjectively. Even towards the end of this review he said "400$ is not a crazy amount to spend" which for the average consumer frankly, it is pretty crazy amount for a pair of earphones.
P.S. It's a 2xDD + 6xBA IEM. I incorrectly described it as a 2xDD + 4xBA IEM in the review.
that transition at 2:30 was so smooth :)
The eartip reveal was masterful at 2:29 (it scared me). I hope you get a standing ovation in the comments for your diabolical scheme.
THANK YOU for actually pronouncing "sogno" right.
🤌

They've so far been pretty competent but safe tunings. Wonder if they'll get more adventurous or stick with tried-and-kinda-true.
The eartips boxes look pretty awesome. Finally a brand that can compete with Dunu in the unboxing experience.

When you have to break it down and throw it away, the package for Volare is a bit overwhelming :D
Thank you for the great review. 😊
🤙
Not an IEM for me, but as always, I appreciate your review 👍
Whatcha been enjoying lately?

Dusk is still my favorite this year.
I loved the Volare man, the Sogno seems even more tempting to me.
Thanks Mr. Ryan. Love the name Sogno; Reminds me of the lovely and talented Suboona Sandoon. Oh Suboona! 💘
It is a cool name indeed. Just like Suboona.
@@SuperReview Suboona is just her stage name; Her real name is Emma Strunk. Oh Emma! 💘

Thanks Mark, awesome job! In my sogno, sogno got a 3 star.
Eartips included are 5 stars.
5-star tip inclusion for sure.
Been a fan of the Volare, shall I buy the Sogno as well :// hmm no new purchase for the remainder of 2024.
Softears Studio 4 is often on sale at a similar price as Moondrop Dusk. Which one should I pick between the two?
Dusk for me.
@@SuperReview thank you for answering. Appreciate it!
Can you try to get the AFUL 5+2 for review l. Love to hear your thoughts on this one considering the price is looking like $1000 for them
Yep, I've got one in to review now.
Mark. Is that a Pebble on your wrist? Wow... talk about a flashback!

That's right.
will u be reviewing Fiio ft1 soon by any chance?
No probably not.
Hi Mark, are you gonna review the Moondrop Kadenz before 11.11 sales?
Yes I think so.
Great! hope you can compare it with Kato and Origin. Thank you!@@SuperReview
If I’m not hearing gentle rain sounds, then it’s not dream sounds to me.
HP wets the bed, confirmed.
Nice
Sogno or Pilgrim?
The case is same shape as the SA6 MKII.
Yep but BIGGER. Funny enough I've got them sitting on top of each other at the moment.
Pilgrim, Dusk, Sogno. How would you rank them. Still 6 minutes into the video.
Dusk > Pilgrim > Sogno
