I’ve got the Snickers open tote. It’s great. What I like about an open tote is when you’ve finished the job and put your tools in the tote it’s easy to see if you forgot anything.

Hey I am 17 years old and I watch all your videos and love the content your putting out! I always see videos on RUclips tho and when I go to try things myself I don’t have the tools required to do so, recently I have been using a box from a tool I bought on amazon, as my tool box, I duct taped the whole thing and put the few tools I have, inside the box , I am not trying to say I’m a charity case but I definitely would consider myself a little less fortunate than you. I was wondering if maybe you would be interested in getting rid of some of your old tools and stuff you no longer use, and I can put it all to great use. I would love to inherit tools from a guy like you

This bag would be perfect if the center section was stiff backed canvas like the bag instead of plastic and minus the cup with the rubber lid altogether. Great review, thanks!

Own larger OT-LC for a/c installs & most of Veto lineup, waiting for spiffs for buying it, I just saw a new OT/LC load up crime committed with old surplus tools, you've got some quality tools.

I bought this version hoping it would be good for servicing oil boilers, as you know, dirty smelly stinking oil, I have to say, best decision I’ve made. I can fit everything in there no issues including a line priming pump, the tub holds all my adapters etc. Just an awesome bag and I love how it takes up such little space. The most important feature for me is the base, commercial oil boiler rooms are shit holes 9 times out of 10 so the base just makes cleaning up so much easier. Second bag I’ve bought and now I’m eyeing up a third for all my test gauges and lock out kits

Nice bag, but does it "go" with your shoes?
Soldering bag. How much flux can you get thru in a day? So if the 450g pot wont fit in, try using a smaller pot and keeping the top up, larger pot in the van. Just a thought. Works for me. Especially when you leave it open and some chippy tops it up with wood shavings or the plasterer gobs a nice load of multi-finish directly into it.

I have a solution for your broken tapemeasure issue. Clip your tapemeasure to one of the larger D rings it wilk be moe secure. i primarily use Stanley fat max. It never comes off. Real tight fit! I do it on all my bags. I have the Tech Xl, the LC And the Xl.

    That’s a lot of screwdrivers mate. I have: PH1, PH2, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 5,5 and 7,0. I also have 2 micro kraftform (2.5 and 3.0) and a handbit holder. I prefer to carry a lot of spanners though. 6mm to 19mm and a bahco (0-32).

That Veto tool bag looks to be the Billy-bollocks, I need one now......
I dont buy BIG tubs of flux, it lasts too long & gets dirty,
a small tub would go in my sundries tote anyway - I carry tools only in my toolbag....
Thanks for pointing this product out to me man...

Did you ever end up finding a good solder bag from Veto? I have the XL Wheeler as my main tool bag and the Wheeler backpack as my solder bag. Not bad definitely room for improvements.

I wish they made the tool pockets on one side removable - would be good for electrical connector/parts boxes.

I know what u mean, I just ordered one today. I am thinking either using pill trays or cutting those things off with my knife until my parts box fits.

Small pot of flux would fit nicely in that. That movable compartment with rubber lid would keep a wet rag with the flux no problem. Stop tools going rusty.

  • @jackhammer9622
    @jackhammer9622 5 лет назад

They have a zero down time return. They'll send you a new bag with a return label to send in the old one. So you should be able to exchange your bag without losing the use of your old one until the new one arrives

I was going to get that bag for the same reason but saw another plumber with the same issue. I got the Tech BackPac now and decided to convert my Tech XL to a pro press and soldering kit. It works out great and I love it, I posted a short video of it. Check it out. You might like the idea one day.

Maybe I'm Dozy , but it takes a while to get the loadout right for any given tool bag . It's a micrologistics problem that can never be solved perfectly . All that said I'll probably get one . Just for basic Sparky tools , and a small Milwaukee drill/driver . I can see it's not a good choice if you need to carry a cylindrical part , or bottle .

Did you ever get around to sending the Tech-LC back for repair? If so, how did you get on? I understand that they can send you a replacement upfront to use while yours is being repaired.
Did the tape holder break due to you clipping the TP3 on it? I know they say to do that but that seems an awful lot of weight to hang on a tape clip.

    A bit disappointed with mine.
    Daft waterproof box
Internal dividers are a bit small and one size could do with less of them and different sizes to fit grips , pliers and spanners
No where for shallow tools apart from center pice but is narrow so every thing will have to come out to get to it
One side is dedicated to the name of it would be nice to have a pouch there
Plus side it is very well built and looks like it will take plenty of abuse

Get a couple of snap on ratchet screw drivers?!
You surely don’t need all them drivers for plumbing? I carry about 5 but hardly use them.

    • @PBPlumber

piespeafield if you turned up at my house with your tools in a bucket you wouldn’t get the job, unless of course you were a window cleaner 👏🏽

    • @jamesireland8192

Pipe fitters use a bucket, I should know I use one when I’m doing fitting on big sites... Including the biggest house in London if we are scoring points. Every building is important, Manor House or council house they deserve the same respect. If someone turned up to my house with bucket of rust I would laugh at them and shut the door. The game is changing and in my opinion for the better. Don’t get me wrong £100/£200 for any tool bag is a lot of money but if you look more professional then it’s an investment.
