I was born and raised in centre al but now I live in waycross ga and I've been watching your channel to see what the crappie are doing. We just got back to waycross today and I gotta say you know your crappie when it comes to fishing, yeah is wasn't good because of the weather but watching your channel let me know to expect that with all the rain yall have got. You remind me so much of my young life. Jimpeat Bond ,and all them Blaylocks showing me how to fish . Bear Creek and every little creek . This is very cool stuff. Can’t leave out Uncle Toe . Man I miss them day’s
About twenty years ago we used to catch the skipjacks behind Kentucky dam where they would swirl around by the thousands. We used crappie jigs and would catch one on about every other cast. We froze them and used them in the summer to catch catfish on trotlines. For some reason, since then they have become very scarce and harder to catch many. There are a huge number of asian carp in there now, so maybe those have displaced the 'jacks.
Thanks for the trailer hook tip and explaining why ! I now know why my skip jack is coming off with tribal hook and why to change it with a single hook . I'm not one to comment on a lot but I love your information and how to do things to make a difference in success in fishing .I'm am disabled and don't get to fish like I want to but your shows helps me on the days I don't get to .so I just wanted to say thank you for sharing and don't forget to bring momma Sue a fish home for dinner God bless Richard Gene the fishing machine keep them coming !

Caught some skippies in Columbus Ga this past weekend. got 2 videos on them out and 1 coming up.....love catching them as they are close relatives of Hickory shad which are really herring.
