I was raised by my step mother who is Filipino, and I grew up eating this dish ALOT. It’s one of my favorite dishes to eat. This looks absolutely AMAZING.
Wow 1st time making this and soooo delicious. I didn’t add the sugar but I did add more soy sauce, water, white vinager because I couldn’t find the cane vinegar and I wanted to make it more saucy. I also added more cornstarch and chicken bouillon. Loved it!!! My whole family said it taste sooo good! Thanks
I'm so glad I picked your recipe (so many out there) because everyone loved my first Chicken adobo attempt last night! Thank you! Didn't even need to tweak it, the only difference is I used apple cider vinegar 'cuz that's what I have in my pantry.
Made this tonight. I'm part Filipino myself but have never made adobo before. My brother and brother in law had dinner with me and we all tore it up. 😋 it was super good. Thank you!
My mother taught me how to cook Chicken adobo, but I always like to try other recipes. This one caught my attention because it used Brown sugar. I used Datu Puti spiced vinegar as it was the amount I needed for this dish, and followed the rest of the steps. I had this done in under 30 minutes (not counting the prep time) and as we say in Hawaii. ONOLICIOUS! Or better said, MASARAP! Mahalo for sharing your recipe.❤Definitely a keeper👍
This is as close to my friend's mom's recipe as I've ever had. And it's so simple! Other more complicated recipes haven't been as satisfying as this one.
Just made this and it is AMAZING. It's definitely going on my regular recipe list. It's easy, doesn't take too long to make and is all very basic ingredients! Woo! Thank you.
I made this today. So easy and so good! I did add more of some ingredients, though, like more soy sauce, vinegar, and brown sugar, to suit my taste. But it was soooo good. 🙂
Sarap nyan mam.. Wlang kamatayang adobo hanggat pinapainit lalong sumasarap.. Thanks for teaching us to cook. Nagiwna n poh aq ng regalo.. Hintayin q n lng poh kau
This was a great recipe! Easy to follow. My chicken was very juicy tho, so I chose to not add anymore water to the mix. I just used the juices it gave to make the sauce
Thanks for this recipe. Been looking for an adobo recipe that doesn’t have to require overnight marinading and I came across this. Made a little changes tho, I opted for a slow stew on low heat for at least 30 minutes instead of high and used apple cider vinegar coz I only have distilled vinegar on my pantry. I also added 1 knorr chicken buollion cube for seasoning. Turned out great as well 👌
@@Spookyliciousness I was thinking the same thing I would also like to cook it with potatoes, carrots and some sliced red/green peppers, I feel that it needs vegetables, or could have it on the side ..I was thinking would it make it into a stew and not adobo though🤔💭
Thanks for this ! Im a trying hard cook and this is my go to recipe for adobo. Altho i doubled the amt for vinegar and soy sauce cos we love alot of sauces in our adobo! 💕💕💕
Similar to mine but I don’t add sugar, salt or starch also I use apple cider vinagar- u just add more vinegar or more soy to adjust the flavor the juice from the meat and bone adds to the flavor this is why u simmer it longer until it falls off the bone just add more water to simmer longer
@@FilipinaChefKitchen Soooo good! What part of the Philippines are you from? Do you ever make adobo with a lot of the juice, kind of like soup? That's how we always made it.
